SAMWISE94: Abeg, go and concentrate on your UK forum. I think don't you belong here. "dead-end" is such an unpleasant word SAMWISE94: Obviously you don't leave in Ukraine. But you here making people feel like the country is shit. I am sorry to say that your opinion is very wrong You can dispute anything a i said about Ukraine, people see Ukraine as a stop-over country to EU countries but majority got there and hit a dead-end. Ukraine is not a Schengen country, not EU and very venerable to Russia. |

SAMWISE94: What do you know about Ukraine that you are saying it's a dead-end country? Tell me something about Ukraine that is not public knowledge. What does Ukraine offers immigrants? Which country can you travel freely with their visa? |

Gwill205: Please I need help... my agent said I should pay $1200 (700k) for my visa guarantee fee... is it advisable to pay? Don't, that money is going into his pocket. There is no guarantee that you will get the visa because that agent is not the one issuing the visa. No visa is guaranteed no matter how much you pay. Lastly Ukraine is a dead-end country, does not worth paying even $200 bribe to get their visa. |

TRAY2: @Justwise and co please can UK driving license be used in Naija, and can one be able to use UK bank app for transfers/ transactions in Naija. Lastly please the day 2 lateral flow test kit, did you order it while in Naija? Yes UK bank app works in Nigeria, you can send money to your Nigerian account through any of those agents. Yes I ordered my PCR test kit while in Nigeria but shop around because some are cheaper than others. |

5gee: I got my ILR. 10 year route 1 year - Student visa 5 years + tier 2 4 years Spousal/partner Hopefully I will get my passport in January. Then I can start applying for jobs abroad. I did not apply for my ILR on tier 2 because I was naive. I was at risk of redundancy with barely 2 months to my ILR and the company wouldn't give me a letter without stating that I was at risk. I didn't feel comfortable applying with that on the letter so I canceled my appointment and when I failed to get another sponsor and not enough time to find a decent job in Nigeria, I applied for a spousal visa which reset my timeline. In hindsight, I should have applied and I would have been granted it, saving me thousands of pounds in application fees and NHS surcharge. More painful is the fact that I had considered moving back home in the earlier years but got to the point where going back without at least ILR was not logical. Hopefully I find a good role back home or somewhere near , Amen. Congratulations!! Takes a lot to get there |

Azbk1234: Hi all. I applied for a visitor visa in 2019 listing only my wife and first child as dependants although I have a second child but he lived with my mother in-law then. I'll be applying for a student visa shortly, will it be a problem if I include my second child as a dependant which will deviate from the details I presented in 2019 as the child was born in 2016. I'll expect your prompt response. Thanks in advance It will not be a big deal as long as you add the child's birth certificate, they will verify if in doubt. Its also important to add an explanation note regarding the omission in 2019 |

Holufunmee: Please guys i need help with clarification, Uk entry instruction says "Covid must be done 2 days before you travel to England" My travel date is Saturday but i will arrive at Heathrow by 12pm on Sunday. Where i want to do the test i was told if i want the test result on Saturday morning i have to do it on Thursday. Will the covid result be questioned in England if i take the test on Thursday? Try another test centre, a lot of them will give you the result the same day, you can do one on Friday and get it the same day or next day. I did one in Abuja and get it the same day. |

Did you change it for them at the POE as planned? There was no need for that as nobody troubles you when you traveled within the EU fully vaccinated and with negative PCR result. |

mizGene: Arggh! This is painful! So sorry about that. More than painful and frustrating, there was no need to force only a few people to pay to isolate especially when you tested negative 24hrs before boarding. People should be allowed to isolate at home and stop isolating after day2 negative test. |

umarwy: Both links you posted are actually very informative.
1. If you leave UK after the end of a valid visa and come back before 6months with another valid visa. The less than 6months of absence counts towards 10 years continuous stay.
2. Visit visa also counts towards the 10 years. Now I am wondering if someone comes 5 months at a time and do so for 10 years will they be granted ILR?? That will not work, visiting and living in the UK are not the same. |

This is not good enough, quarantine to pay £2500+ in 10days? They should allow people to quarantine with relatives/their own houses and this should apply to everyone coming into the UK and not just few African countries alone. |

erico2k2: This information is wrong, the onus is where the traveller has been for the last 10 days. If you was in a green zone the last 10/11 days B4 you enter the Uk, you are good. That is a different case as i have stated in subsequent posts |
