STENON: Thanks and I am sorry Mr Justwise. We planned Priority for her but it was removed from TLS website. It is for my sister and the guy already collected money from another person for POF so he won't be happy to leave it for another 15 days even now that I am ready to pay him extra, the other person that promised just failed to fulfil his promise. All tuition fees has been paid. I just don't want the account to be empty before the decision is made . The application has been received by DMC already Paying money into that account or withdrawing will lead to a refusal if they run a check. |

@STENON
What you are posting here is illegal, I’m not sure you are aware of this.
And paying money into your account now is till late and will definitely result in a refusal and possibly a ban.
Please let’s be careful what we post in public forum like this. |

DFmum: Ok, I think I stated the reason earlier. He was refused visa 2015 and never got to know the reason for the refusal because nothing was on the mail and it was an agent that did that for him then, and didn't know he was banned as well. So now that we applied for dependant visa , they refused him and gave the kids, stating that he was banned in 2015 because he falsified document, meaning he can only apply after Oct 2025. Then there is very little the solicitor you hired can do. He was banned in 2015 and the agent who submitted forged documents did not disclose that to him then he applied and the ban was activated. He can not use agent as an excuse. Concentrate in getting your mum a visa to help with kids. |

ChisZom: When is the right time to fill a passenger locator form?
When is the best day to do a pcr test if one is to travel tomorrow night?
Please help Locator form and pcr test= 48/24hrs before you travel. Check the clinic website to know how soon your test result will be out. Some are the same day, some 24hrs. |

teeebest: Hello, please I need advice/suggestions.
I will be travelling to the UK in January with my family as an international student. While searching for accommodation, I got a 3 bedroom flat in Durham. Unfortunately, I couldn't get someone to do viewing for me (though the landlady immediately agreed that I sent someone and also dropped her phone numbers). So, I opted for virtual viewing and everything looks good.
She is not yet married and she said she's been in the UK for 6 years. Can someone co-own a property in UK in this short period?(She's Ghanaian and the other person is Nigerian). I was told to pay a deposit of £500 while I will pay the monthly rent of £570 when we are ready to move in. She didn't request for a guarantor as well.
She always sound nice and ready to help. Infact, she agreed that I can pay half of the deposit now and the balance in January before we arrive.
Elders, is it possible that this woman want to scam me or it's just one of those things? I got to know about the co-owner when I got the rent contract and according to her, she has a lower share in the property. The account number for payment is also hers.
Can I proceed please? At your own peril, you should never pay for a house you did not view physically. Scammers are ready to lower the deposit just to get hold of your money and they will do the same to many victims Once you pay the deposit the story will change. |

Success2Success: Merry Christmas and compliments of the season all.
I would like to clarify from those fully vaccinated who just travelled:
After visa issuance what do I need to do as regards COVID, as a fully vaccinated student?
- Do I need a pre-departure test result? - On arrival, do I do both Day-2 & Day-8 tests or just Day-2 test? - Can you recommend a good test provider in the UK?
Thanks If you are fully vaccinated you will need a pre departure pcr test done 48hrs before departure and you also need to book day 2 test to be done when you arrived in the UK, they will ask you for evidence of all these at the airport even before you get your boarding pass. You can use Randox or Boot |

marylandcakes: The cost of petrol will swallow up the savings difference. You can get African food to buy in Milton Keynes market as cheap as London prices and in in Bedford town. No it will not as she doesn't drive to London everyday, week or month for shopping. |

tushqueen: I tell you, I was at the mall after work yesterday, the shelves were dry, major food all gone.
E be like like say make I give 1 silly guy slap yesterday, I got to the bus stop to discover my bus card had disappeared. So I left my shopping bags at the bus stop to have a quick check at the mall. My mind was telling me abi make I no leave am whether somebody go steal am. Na im I say, nobody go carry am na shebi dem say camera dey everywhere. I ran in and came out to see one guy putting my bags away in his boot. I ran up to ask him what he was doing. He said oh sorry I'm in a phone call with the food bank and I thought someone wanted to give these away.
I was like how do you mean, if I wanted to have a give away I would have given the food bank a ring myself. He said sorry, dashed into his car, made a U-turn and left. If he really wanted to be kind, why would he not gibe me a ride when he discovered that my card had disappeared. Iranu
My mind was just imagining different things, like he probably wasn't calling any food bank. Or imagine if places were switched as in a black man putting a white's stuff in his boot.
Has anyone else experienced this? Big mistake, you are lucky that you came out on time. |

claremont:
 I have spoken about this mythical disparity previously. A doctor/nurse/dentist/pharmacist/engineer/IT expert etc in London isn't getting paid more than their counterparts in the NE. The London weighting pay gets swallowed by the cost of living in London. If you do some research, you will find that in certain professions, the pay in the ''North'' is more than that in London and the SE. The reasons are many, amongst which are most professionals would prefer to live down south than up North for various reasons. Thereby leading to a shortage in the North of these professionals, thus an escalation in pay rates. It's supply and demand. That is not entirely true considering the pay gap between London and outer London workers. Apart from housing, cost of living between London and the rest of the UK cities are relatively the same. My friend that lives in Luton drives to London to buy African food as its cheaper compare to Luton or cities in Bedfordshire. |

Elderss: True.
I know of some professionals (based on their band) who are paid RRP up north in addition to their salary. I think some professionals in the north get paid more than their counterparts in the south. Name one of such job |

Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.
With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that we have made a decision on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone. However the visa application centre will be in contact with you in regards to collection or delivery of your passport.
We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you
I want to ask, in case of refusal, would they still tell you decision has been made.
Am worried, alots of people that did on 8 has collected their visas.
@justwise @all
Thank you It doesn't matter, whether you are given or refused the message is still the same |
