What an interestin thread.
I recently got an unconditional offer and I am running around for the bank statement.my problem is that my program starts in less a months' time and due to the '28 day rule' even i get all the required funds now, i cannot meet up.
However, i was wondering if I am made a co-signatory to an account which already has the required funds,can that work

Who will be the other signatory?

Tick CAS, and in section 5.2 you need to put the CAS number there as well, yes the money is in ur account but i did not see anywhere they asked for source of fund and u don't tick both, just tick one box which shows that u got the money in ur account for 28days.
Like i said b4, u don't need to bother ur mummy about Tax Clearance, its not needed, don't get things mixed up for urself.

Ok, so all i need do is just send the application with just the CAS nos along with the CERTIFICATION (not 4gettin the VERIFICATION OF RESULT), rite? Regarding the REFERENCES, u say theres no need 4 dem, abi? ges m gud 2 go den, cos i was just wondrin how i cld make an application without submittin the CAS STATEMENT also.

The BHC has the same CAS the school sent u, that was why the school said its a COMPLIMENTARY DOCUMENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY FOR YOUR INFORMATION ONLY, in the application form u will be asked to write the CAS.

Reference is just a character statement and ur ability to be able to cope with the course. I never heard of anybody who submitted reference as part of student visa application.

Please help,my dad transferred the deposit I need to my account today using the NEFT interbank transfer and till now ve not received a notification that the money is in my account,I was told it takes max of 24hrs for this kind of transfer during working days. My fear is maybe my account will be credited on Monday 9th Aug which makes the 28days count end on 5th Sept (Sunday). This is my question. 1.Can I just collect the bank statemnt on the 6th Sept and apply immediately like say 7th - 8th Sept. (I have all other docs intact). My school resumes on the 20th Sept. Thanks

Writie ur school and ask for 2wks extention stating the reasons for the delay, if you applied on the 7th of Sept, chance are that u might be given b4 20th.

Just use the CAS number they gave you, the AMENDMENT will reflect on BHC system as well, if they are in any doubt they will call the school to verify.
Since u asked them to use ur certificate in place of NOTIFICATION OF RESULT then attach it to ur visa application as well.

Don't worry about the reference, u don't need to add that in visa application.

The A rating shouldn't bother you, many universities here are rated a such, even some colleges with B rate still sponsor foreign students.

Just concentrate in getting all ur documents right

Nobody is denying the fact that some embassies are bad but Nigerians are hard to deal with, we want to do things 'our' own ways with no regard to normal procedures, some embassies have to stand their ground else some of us will walk all over them.

Don't take it that way, i can understand how u feel, anybody who has been refused a visa b4 will feel the same way.

The problem is if you submit the SAME bank statement again WITH another name, the content will still remain the same.i.e, the business content and activities of that account.

The documents you listed above are good, the letter of consent is not for adults, its for young adults(16-17) stating that they have their parents consent to travel abroad,. Sponsor's letter is basically stating that ur mummy is and will be responsible for financial needs while you are in the UK.
If you must submit TAX RETURN STATEMENT and REFERENCE STATEMENTS FROM LECTURERS put them at the bottom of ur package, put all the necessary documents in pront first, e.g: CERTIFICATE,VERIFICATION O'RESULT,BANK STATEMENT,WAEC & NECO RESULT,TRANSCRIPTS(tho opened & unaddressd!),BIRTH CERTIFICATE and her BANK STATEMENT. I guess you don't want to leave any stone unturned.

What matters is the money in ur account now( remaining fees + maintenance fees), ur mummy doesn't need to worry about her bank balance as she has moved the money into ur acount, all that activities could be seen in her account and urs as well.

Please don't bother her about TAX CLEARANCE thing, she can only give you sponsor's letter to support ur application. Nobody is expecting her to have huge bank balance after moving such massive amount of money in u account. The good thing is that she still have more money coming into her acount, that can only be a plus for your application.

I really don't think its a good ideal at all to use it as the money is not complete, i can understand that the school will be resuming next month. . . meaning that u have little or no time left, . . have you paid any deposit for accommodation? Cos the money could be taking into account when considering the amount u have in ur account at the moment.

JUSTWISE,God bless you. can i have your personal email add. do you think i stand a good chance if i get a letter from bank stating that the account is my fathers personal account of which he is the sole signitory. my father is the co/director in his company,there are two of them so ,that account can definately not be a company account. what do you think. MUST THE SPONSORSHIP LETTER MAKE REFERNCE TO THE PREVIOUS ECO'S REFUSAL NOTICE.

If that account has any business activities then it will be regarded as business account, he may get a letter from the bank BUT the activites in that account will speak for it self. IF you are asked in the form if u have been refused a visa b4 you have to say yes and give reasons, ur dady don't have to mention it in the sponsor's letter.

Please be carefull with any business related account.

another thing is on the new cas there was nothing like qualifications used to admit me,and also my primary site of study. please reply me asap or better still please send me your email address.

Ok, since you have the money there for 28days untouched and the letters from the bank, u can print out the bank statement AND get sponsor's letter from ur dady cos you are using his account. Don't worry about the CAS not containing the qualifications used in admitting u, just include those documents u used in obtaining the admission in ur visa application package. Also print out that CAS letter sent to you by the school and include it when submitting the visa application.

The number thing is becoming a big prob, call the numbers urself and see which one that works then write it on the letter, just cross the useless numbers and replace them with those that works, do this b4 submitting the application.

If you used the transcript in obtaining the admission then yes u have to include it in ur visa application.

How do you mean by primary site of study? Please which school is that? If u don't mind me asking

I do not blame for wife for being so worried.

Many men have been known to change once they relocate overseas under the excuse of ''i am doing it for them so as to secure them a better future financially, etc'' and years later, they refuse to file for the wife and kids in nigeria to join them even AFTER they have gotten their citizenship.

If you really love/miss your wife as you claim, then get her to apply for a US visit visa and provide her with all the necessary supporting documents. That way she can come down to the US often to see you.

Na waa for lampadusa boys and  shoroti boys. every living thing is aware that Nigeria is = total corruption. every living thing also knows that the Nigerian embassy officials are making illegal money from poor Nigerians, especially those in a hurry(e.g. those doing new document under the new badante/gulf legalization) when you pay, your appointment will be booked under emergency immediately. when you don't have money, you have to wait for one year.

Not all Nigerian embassy is bad, i got my e-passport under a wk in london, i did not pay anybody apart from the normal fees everybody pays.

was just refused entry clearance,because eco said i submitted my fathers business account which is absolutely untrue. the statement belongs to my father of which he is the sole signitory. the bank statemnt even has the narration

I'm sorry to hear that u were refused, they might have noticed alot of business transactions in that back statment hence regarding it as business account, this is one of the reasons why transfering the money into ur personal account is important.

Using any business related bank account for student visa application is not a good idea as the money in that account is viewd as business money which is for the running of the business.

If you have sent the transcript to the school then you should include it in ur visa package as well.

If you have the required amount(fees + maintenace fees) in that account then the 28days counting will start the very day that complete amount was deposited, ur dady's salary going into that account will not be a problem as you have the complete amount already.

MSC if you are going for postgraduate course and BSC for first degree course

I was just issued a certificate of birth registration by National Population Commission to replace my declaration of age.Hope the recent date which the certificate carries,(04/08/2010) will not be an issue when i apply for my visa,as it is valid and authentic.

I don't think it will be an issue since you are replacing a lost document. You can alos write a few lines of note to explain to BHC why you have to get another age certificate.
