Well my advice is do not risk coming to Nigeria for any reason it is better to deliver there in the UK than here in NIGERIA, your baby can be a citizen after you have deliver in the UK how is that?, Then you can run your marriage package, and try and start from somewhere forget about the expenses for now you really need time to rest for the sake of the baby, as long there re not going to deport you now, you really need to relax and be prayerful.

I heard from a friend in Manchester that UK colleges will start admitting international students strictly by TOEFL starting from august 12 of this year. I've googled but found no info about the rumour, how trus is that? Please advise before i spend too much because i am not ready to write toefl!

U guys are doing a very wonderful job. Please i need your urgent help. I got an unconditional offer letter from a school in uk together with a visa letter and i am preparing towards my visa application. My sponsor is not bearing the same name with me , please how do i go about my application?
Also if i compel him to give me 3.1M in my account for 28days do i need to show my source of income?

UK student visa rule says that only a family member that shares the same family name with u can sponsor you or ur legal guardian.

@Justwise and general house, pls how long does it take to get a feedback on student visa application from the embassy. A cousin of mine dropped her passport and relevant documents first week of this month and uptill now no feedback. She is seeking the visa for her undergraduate program and its due to start by September. Does it take this long? Your advices are highly appreciated.

It doesn't take that long but then again, July and Aug are a very busy time for BHC cos of the number of application they recieve both for students and summer holiday makers.

You can use fixed deposit account and ur dady can give u letter of sponsorship to back it up as well.

@justwiseThanks again for the earlier response.I have gotten my CAS via email but i have a problem with some issues
1. When i applied for my admission, i was asked to input my passport number which i did but the issue is the passport got missing and i had to request for a reissue from the Nigerian Immigration which was done. so i have a new passport with a different passport number.
However when i got the CAS letter, the passport number on it was that of the lost passport, now i am confused on what to do.
Should i send the school an email with my new passport bio data page, the receipt and affidavit sworn at the court in respect of the stolen passport and request for a new CAS letter or should i ignore it and send these details to the UK embassy along with other documents when applying for the visa.2. I said earlier i was going to use my dads account and i think it expected to sent in my birth certificate and a notorized letter stating our father - son relationship & stating that i am allowed to use the account.The issue is one of the account is a fixed deposit account of 2mil while he runs a seperate salary account. Can i use both account cause judging by the amount needed 6000 (balance of tuition fee) & 5400 (living expenses) - which is 2.7mil?3. do i need to send in original copies of all the documents needed or would photocopies be okay?Thanks and i do await a quick response

Though u made a mistake by not notifying the school, send them an email with the details as u stated above and include the same documents in ur visa application drawing the attention of BHC to that change/error.
2=Use both accounts since the money in one account is not enough to meet the financial requirement. About sending the original document. . .i'm not sure IF BHC do return documents submitted during visa application, if they do then submitting original is better

No specific document was stated, they just stated that: "evidence used in accessing candidate is a bachelor degree in --------" that's all that was written on the CAS letter.

. . . . then submit the transcript u used in getting the admission, if u used only bachelor degree then submit that but if u added other certificates then add them too when submitting ur visa application.

For the section 5.5, you can tick that box in line with the mode your school used to give you the unconditional offer. If a test was conducted for you, then you can tick in the box, and state what test. But if you were not interviewed, but granted admission only by submitting your documents, then I think you do not need to tick that box, or tick NO. Progress on a continuing course of study to me are for those who are currently running a program in their school here and are switching or transferring to a course or level over there (e.g a year 3 student here who wants to run a degree course over there, will normally be assessed by progress and fixed into like year 2 or so. Just my opinion though, I might be wrong.

If your CAS states the evidence as your Bachelor's Degree, then I think you should only submit that document and all other documents you used in getting the admission just as justwise has said.

need some advice in here, got adm with Birmingham city uni MSc and resumption date is Sept 13, my funds just got into my account today to the tune of N4m which is able to take care of the tuition fee (10350pds) and 6,000pds maintenance fee, so my 28 days start counting from now.
1 Can i use my NECO cert as part of the supporting documents, cos i actually got an uncoditional offer through the certificate

1= Use that very document u used in getting the admission.e.g NECO, only submit those documents u listed when applying for the course nothing else.
2= If u can, put it in Domicilairy account
3= The visa may not take 15days, in most cases it takes less BUT u can still write ur school and ask for 2wks extension. many schools here resumes 20th Sept, so u can still make it.

Seriously i don't know how that will work, i think that legal guadian paper has to do with adoption prove? if ur inlaw suddenly come up with legal paper claiming to be ur legal guadian, don't u think that it will look dodgy? If that legal document is issued yrs ago then one can understand but doing it now may raise suspicion BUT that is my own view maybe others who know far better than i do will chip in here

No, don't, just submit the degree certificate u used in getting the admission, i mean, all the documents u used in getting the admission is what u need to submit.

That is not true, Nigerians in Hong Kong goes to China for e-passport. Hong Kong is a smaller mission compared to China.

tyolsgirl is right, the BHC use the exchange rate of the day, use Oanda to calculate the rate, at todays' rate that £7200 will give you N1,647.77(£1=228.857)

Just wise I don't know how I can make the sealed transcript . Transcript basically take about 1 month in my school to processes and now August is here . Have u heard of cases where people are rejected based on transcripts not being sealed.
My transcript is not addressed to anybody and it is authentic. What do u think. why would my old transcript not fly? just curious? Concerning the account I deposited the sum of 1m in one day and deposited the others in succession .Hope They will not ask why 1m was depossited in just one day?

To be honest with u, i never heard of any refusal based on the transcript not sealed, so let me not mislead you on that.

That is my fear as well BUT with strong and reliable source of income i doubt if they will raise an eyebrow about it. Sometimes when ur source of finance is questionable then other 'issues' will be looked into
