wallg123: I only booked the day 2 lateral flow test using boots.co.uk and it was delivered to my house before I arrived yesterday. This morning I did the test at home and uploaded the result on there site… At MMA they asked for my passenger locator form, NHS vaccine pass or proof of vaccination and proof of day 2 lateral flow test. Oh ok! Was told that I need to do covid test in Nigeria 7days after arrival and present at the airport when returning to the UK. |

Stereotypes: I wonder if people are awake on their hands and knees praying for Elon Musk to change his mind.
The man is about to singlehandedly tank the stock market off a twitter poll, shebi he's the same person that destroyed dogecoin.
Investors are wailing and gnashing their teeth and begging him not to do it shaa.
Let's watch and see. Too late, the poll is concluded and he promised to go with the result. More people voted Yes than No, i can't wait to see what happens at 13.30 today. I saw premarket value of 700 +,(though i doubt that value) many will be crying while a lot will be happy equally Even if he did not go with the poll result the damage is done already as many will start dumping their stocks, apparently his brother sold his stock last friday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-59182278 |

My brother currently works in our Dad’s company. 1. Can we use the company’s account for POF and say the company is sponsoring him? 2. If we are doing this, given regular company transactions, by how much in excess does the company account has to have at each point in time if the POF needed is 14million? 3. What other documents do we need to back this up? Or how best do we go about this?
@justwise, please help No he can’t use the company’s bank account and the company can not sponsor him |

I don't intend including that again o, I'd rather include my tenancy agreement or something, and how am I supposed to have access or request for an original bank statement that I used 5months ago for my own application when I am here in the UK already?
Or better still, I will just talk to my school immigration team like someone suggested because all this contradictory and fear mongering information just dey confuse person.. I understand your confusion, do you have money in your bank account here ? |

kakaflex: Good Evening Everyone.
I currently work in a company and my monthly take home is 210k. A friend helped me to apply for a Job in Canada, I did the interview Last Month and I was sent a congratulatry message Yesterday from the Company to start work in Canada.
Am having little fears, have not been to Canada, I don't know how they operate, I don't have family there, my friend that applied for me stays in New York.
What if I go and things didn't work out fine, I lose my 210k job and lose Canada job.
Pls should i do. Help This is just the first phase of the scam, next phase is to use visa application to milk you as much as you allow them. There is no job here, just your money. Don't leave your real job in Nigeria for non-existing job in Canada. The closest you will get to Canada is Nigerian airport. |

Yemolu: Not at the moment.
Most of our funds (including my school fees balance) is already tied up in my dependents 28days POF . Hoping my hubby will come in and pitch in to make up for it when he starts working here too. Don't risk a visa refusal and possibly a ban. Make sure that your remaining school fees, your maintenance money and that of your husband is in that account. They may likely ask you to resubmit the original bank statement used for your own visa application. This is simple..that money should not be recycled |

iboboyswag: OK... Nice one. I appreciate.
The challenge that brought all this was as stated. Project was written but deemed too poor when compared with those of others. So an extension was sought to allow time to redo the project to our satisfaction (wrong move I know but at the time we were in our feelings).
Extension was granted but then we noticed that studentship status has changed and that we would now require and extension of the Visa.
Several suggested the exception assurance route. I didn't think it was right but from the forgoing, I would have to do that tonight as well as make the extension application as you have suggested.
The challenge of why this is seemingly late is because most mails where not replied even after several reminders. But it's all good.
Thanks again. While you wait for the outcome you need to also prepare to travel back to Nigeria within 28days of your visa expiration. All you need to avoid is over staying the visa, they will argue that you have enough time to finish your project and attend your graduation. Do a bit of digging for a link that explains what happens when the school changed your student status to part time with attendance and part time without attendance. That will help you make the next move |

dupyshoo: I was thinking the same. There is no more travel restrictions. Maybe testing positive to Covid. Only if that affected his ability to finish the project on time hence the need for extension |

iboboyswag: Long story but the work was assumed poorly done. So extension was sought and granted. But the catch was we didn't realise that extension would be for a longer period past the visa validity.
The school then change the status to part-time from fulltime. Bro the picture is still not clear and i know this is frustrating but to get to a solution you need to give people a clearer picture of the case. I suggest you contact the UKIV to apply for extension before your visa expires, if the extension from the school is a written one then attach it. Use the link the school sent you and forget the mention of lockdown, add additional paper explaining your situation. Doing that will help you remain legally in the UK during the processing of your application and at the same time you will be able to finish the project. |

iboboyswag: Hello everyone.
Please I need your help on an issue here.
Background Story.
BRP expires 11th November, 2021. But due to an extension request for project submission, project submission was extended to sometime in December.
Now the challenge is, Coventry Uni has changed student status to part-time from fulltime and we do not know what to do about not overstaying.
Because as it stands now, we cannot apply for the PSW as course is yet to be completed and yet do not know what steps to take to ensure that we continue to remain in the country legally.
We have sent several mails and visited the school but no sensible solution have been proffered. Everyone keeps acting like this is a novel case.
So please my people, has anyone experienced this or know someone who had and what was the workable solution. What does someone do when the visa expires but course is yet to be completed?
Abeg I would need all the input I can get.
Thanks in advance.
Justwise, lagosismyhome, Aprokodaugther and all the other seniors please your inputs are welcome. How did it get to the point of requesting for an extension? |

Msfrnk: Good evening Gurus in the house pls for a student that is currently studying (outside London) but lives in London, my question is if my wife wants to apply for his dependent visa she will put my address in London as where she will be living hope this is not going to affect her chance of getting the visa but the pof in her account is sufficient for London maintenance and outside London. Note: my pof is still intact if the embassy want me to print it out the fund has not been tampered and she has sufficient funds in her account as well. Maintenance money calculation is about cost of living in a particular city, so since you live in London then expect them to use London rate and not where your school is located |

daholiest: Hello all please how do I go about the renewal of my Nigerian passport here in the UK. Please Apply online and print out all required documents, if you need your passport before early-mid next year then pay for fast track, basically you buy £120 worth of postal order plus application fees. I was there a week a go or so, went there without waiting for appointment and spoke to embassy staff who told me point blank that if i need that passport anytime soon that i should pay for fast track and i did that and got the passport few days later. Prepare yourself for a long day there, the two halls were full and over flowing. |

Yemolu: Hello @justwise and anyone who has been in my situation.
I am in the UK already as a Tier4 student. I have paid 50% of my tuition and fully enrolled. My dependents are ready to join me but I am confused if I need to show the balance of my school fees in addition to my dependent's maintenance fee or just their Maintenance fee will suffice in the 28days statement. N.B: The funds will be in my Spouse's account.
Apart from my BRP, Enrollment letter , consent letter, Marriage and birth certificate .
Is there any other documents I should include?.
Help pls. Do you have the remaining 50%? |

Amazoner01: I think the issue is money going from the account to the dependent account and not adding up. If money was directed to another account would have been better. It would not. It would send the same suspension signal to ECO.if the money in that account was enough for the main applicant and dependant then there is no need to move money around. |

Ademidun1: Good evening @Justwise and all the gurus here. Please read my write up and kindly advise me on the next step to take. This is my story:
Submitted visa application: August 1. Biometrics: August 23- Standard. After 30 working days, when I didn’t hear any news, I sent a paid message and I got a reply that a decision had been made. After 35 working days, sent another paid message, I was told that they’ve escalated my case and that I should wait for 15 working day’s from the date of my escalation to get a response. Then 3 weeks ago, I got a BRP mail. Since then, nothing. When it was 50 working days, I sent another mail, they said they have now re- escalated the issue and to wait for a response. 2 days later, I got a decision mail that visa has been approved. What baffles me is that the decision letter was dated August. Since last week that the decision was letter sent to my mail, I’ve been tracking and still at DMC. Please how else can I escalate this matter? I paid for courier and passport has been delivered yet. Anyone that has been in my shoe before to kindly advise me as I don’t know what else to do. Thank you. Sadly this is becoming common and there is no other solution other than calling and emailing them till it comes out |

Fabulux: Gurus please make una help respond to the issue raised below, ejor.
Hello,
Please I need advise for a friend Main Applicant got his visa in August and has since traveled to the UK. Then he submitted a bank statement from 2nd July to 29th July. The fund used is for him.
Now the dependent applied for visa using her own bank statement from 21 sept to 20 October 2021.
She got a non straight forward email to provide the main applicant statement from 29th July to 21 September 2021. What should she do? Cos the main applicant transferred 5m to his daughters account and used other funds to buy PTA and pound then others to shop for laptop ,foodstuffs and buy ticket. There was nothing left in the account before he left
Please note the the dependent has an excess of 4m in her POF
Gurus in the house please advise The question here is..does the main applicant have enough money for himself and the dependant? Tuition fees and maintenance money for both? |

obalala: Hello house , been a silent reader on this thread for a while, much blessings to every contributor in this thread. My niece was born in the Isle of Man some years back around 2019 (can't remember the month), after which they all came back to Nigeria and just recently my brother got a job to relocate to Newcastle . While filling her dependant visa application some days ago, a question was asked if the baby girl " has been to UK and what time frame "?
My uncle says - " let's put the date she went to the Nigerian embassy in London to get her passport "
My response ----" let's put her birthday date " We are actually confused cos the Isle of man is listed as a country in the visa application website and even her birth certificate.
I would appreciate an opinion on what to put on the question " has she been to the UK and what time frame " Your uncle is right |
