Hi guys, my brother wants to apply for UK student visa next month, he has almost everything ready but he has a little problem, a couple of years ago, my cousin who is Canadian invited him to Canada for his wedding, so he contracted the services of an agent to help him with getting all the necessary documents he needed to apply, and the agent advised him to procure a marriage certificate eventhough he wasn't married yet to improve his chances of getting the visa. He said they were massively rejecting single people because of weak home ties, so he went to our local government to get a marriage certificate. After applying for the visa he still got denied based on economic issues in Nigeria and home ties. So fast forward to this year, he got admitted to a school in UK, and he is preparing to apply for a visa, he is confused if he should admit he applied for a Canadian visa in when applying, note that the passport he used to apply for the Canadian visa has expired and he is using a fresh passport, or if he admits that he applied for a Canadian visa years ago will they find out that he declared he was married when he applied for Canadian visa and reject him for UK visa because he is actually single.

Some people are advising him to go on and apply with his single marital status eventhough he once declared a different marital status for Canada application, that it doesn't matter plus he is using a new passport not the old one he used for Canadian application years ago. So I decided to ask people here who have more experience so we don't make any mistakes.

A friend has about 6months left on his student visa, he's applying for his family to join him but the IHS fees calculator is showing 0 fees for their application. Should they go ahead and apply for the dependant visa? What happens if they need to go to the hospital?

Also is it advisable to apply for a dependant visa when the visa has less than 6months to expiry?

Good day bro. I have checked online but no valuable answer to this. Can you pls give us a link to know these licensed universities and those that are not licensed to sponsor these two years PSV.. Just like others, the goal for some of us, is to use that route to relocate legally so we don't make mistakes of choosing a university that isn't licensed to sponsor the PSV. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Please am confused on decision about my family application, my wife sister resides in the UK and she's advising that my wife(student) apply for visa first and once her visa is out then myself and our Kids can then apply reason been that they may want to see home ties,POF in her account has more than enough fund to cover 4 of us to apply together ,we intend applying together wifey to do priority while myself and kids do standard but not am just confused..

If she apply alone now can myself and kids use same statement of account to apply for our own once her visa is out or fund must be move to my own account and count 28 days to apply (this is what someone is telling me).

I only booked the day 2 lateral flow test using boots.co.uk and it was delivered to my house before I arrived yesterday. This morning I did the test at home and uploaded the result on there site…

My brother currently works in our Dad’s company.
1. Can we use the company’s account for POF and say the company is sponsoring him?
2. If we are doing this, given regular company transactions, by how much in excess does the company account has to have at each point in time if the POF needed is 14million?
3. What other documents do we need to back this up?
Or how best do we go about this?

You mean WAEC was one of the documents listed in your CAS and you forgot to add it ? Was degree certificate also listed in your CAS?

Bt I uploaded my degree certificate instead, as I didn’t see it on time And I have now submitted my application and done my biometrics. Pls wat is your advise on how to get this document to dem. I understand the school fees balance part , but my maintenance money again?!!
I have been here for almost 3 months; am I not suppose to utilise the money for rent and other living expenses ??

I don't intend including that again o, I'd rather include my tenancy agreement or something, and how am I supposed to have access or request for an original bank statement that I used 5months ago for my own application when I am here in the UK already?

Or better still, I will just talk to my school immigration team like someone suggested because all this contradictory and fear mongering information just dey confuse person..

After printing the statement of account which includes the pof and remaining part of school fees, must the money still be in the account after visa is granted. Do I need to print another statement of account to show at POE in the Uk or Can i still use the one I used in applying for visa. P.S Family is applying together

Good Evening Everyone.

I currently work in a company and my monthly take home is 210k. A friend helped me to apply for a Job in Canada, I did the interview Last Month and I was sent a congratulatry message Yesterday from the Company to start work in Canada.

Am having little fears, have not been to Canada, I don't know how they operate, I don't have family there, my friend that applied for me stays in New York.

What if I go and things didn't work out fine, I lose my 210k job and lose Canada job.

Pls should i do. Help

Most of our funds (including my school fees balance) is already tied up in my dependents 28days POF . Hoping my hubby will come in and pitch in to make up for it when he starts working here too.

The challenge that brought all this was as stated. Project was written but deemed too poor when compared with those of others. So an extension was sought to allow time to redo the project to our satisfaction (wrong move I know but at the time we were in our feelings).

Extension was granted but then we noticed that studentship status has changed and that we would now require and extension of the Visa.

Several suggested the exception assurance route. I didn't think it was right but from the forgoing, I would have to do that tonight as well as make the extension application as you have suggested.

The challenge of why this is seemingly late is because most mails where not replied even after several reminders. But it's all good.

many excuses bro! People are granted this every day. No one I know has been rejected. It is better for him to try and be rejected than not to try.

Long story but the work was assumed poorly done. So extension was sought and granted. But the catch was we didn't realise that extension would be for a longer period past the visa validity.

The school then change the status to part-time from fulltime.

do this as soon as possible!

send a mail to home office telling them you would like extension on your visa as you won’t be able to leave as a result of COVID 19. They usually extend for three months! Many guys have done this that were your in your situation and have used the opportunity to get their PSW.
