As an answer to family in the uk , they mean like nuclear family right because i dont have details of my extended family in the uk. For someone that doesnt remember their national insurance number. Nigeria social media would buzz tomorrow. Those who got involved didn't handle the issue well.

VDM and the sister really messed up. A life was at stake and they were doing those shenanigans on social media accusing each other.

But it's the prerogative of a sovereign country to control its borders and remove those who have no legal status - otherwise what's the point of a border? However I think the priority should be illegal immigrants who have committed crime, of which there are many, not those who have otherwise lived lawfully for decades, have American children, integrated into society etc

I agree that immigrants are vital for many sectors in the US. However my grouse is that these companies are happy for them to remain illegal because they are a source of very cheap labour - no need to pay them going rate, no need to provide medical insurance or other employment benefits - they're illegal aliens right, who can they report to??

They should be lobbying the government to regularise the status of their workers to enable them work freely and be paid the going rate - which will also benefit the government in the form of (increased) tax receipts, reduced reliance on the state etc

All the policies in the US currently is achieving same results in the UK, low job growth, inflation and more despair. That’s what all these talk of shutting borders achieves, nothing more!

They need to introduce a regularisation scheme for existing illegal workers e.g. those with no criminal record, those who have lived X years in the US etc - even if it's a temporary visa like we have here, with no direct route to settlement.

At least the workers will be able to work without fear and exploitation - unfortunately many are paid below minimum wage, no insurance or employment rights etc.

It’s all gimmicks to win elections that’s all and when they get in power they look for the quickest or easiest vulnerable people living in the uk to pounce on. One choice they can make and it’s relatively easy imho is actually STOP THE BOATS and deport those in hotels/stop funding them! Just borrow some of Trump’s harsh methods and the illegal migrants will get the point and stop coming altogether. Once KS manages that, he’ll steal the thunder from Reform/Online Right and legal migrants will support this as well. It’s a no brainer for me.

Please I need an advice on this issue, I gained and given a visa to study at university of Gloucestershire England , now the issue now is I want to go early and visit a family member in Scotland before school resumes. Can I travel directly to Edinburg Scotland or still go through England airport due to immigration issues? Hope I won’t encounter any issues at Scotland or better still I should go and board train jeje to Scotland. Thanks

The bank statement is genuine, UK home office aren't stupid, if its fake they would have issued a refusal letter and a ban, Ecobank is international bank and a big bank too and easy to contact. The letter said Ecobank has not responded to their email. I think I have to find a way for ecobank to respond to their email.

VDM does not have the authority to do what he did and he could be arrested, prosecuted and punished. Law is not about emotion. Dangote as a person is not in any way responsible for what the Dangote Company truck drivers do. You can attach him to the company because it's named after him. Who do you hold responsible if Total Truck is involved in an accident.

Hi family, please i know 2 ladies that need to apply for an ILR in October . They are both mothers so it skipped their mind to check the validity on their Nigerian parents. To keep the story short they need to apply for ILR by october and the nigerian high commission has given them an appointment in December for passport renewal.

Please does anyone have any contacts here in London that could help these ladies. Because they have no other option.
