Please I got an email from UKVI that they may not be able to process my priority visa in the time that is expected as they needed further info which they may or may not contact for...However the signature on the email states that UK Visas and Immigration
South and South East Asia Region...I thought its meant to originate from UK pretoria since am applying from Africa..Is this normal? can the mails originate from any where or did TLS made mistake of sending my application to a wrong DMC

Hello Everyone, please I need your advice. @Justwise

My daughters passport expires by April 23, 2022. That means it will be 6 months to expiry date by Oct 23, 2021. I am getting my CAS before the end of this month and want to fill the UKVI form for my visa. I am hoping to get first or second week of November for Biometric. I have paid for a new passport for her but immigration guys are saying it wont be treated until its 6 months to expiry. Can I use the passport with me to fill the UKVI form and also submit this passport. My fear is it would have been less than 6 months to expiry before biometric date. Please advice.

Hi guys....

I applied for UK study visa,
Biometrics at VI TLS center on the 8/09/21 (priority)
self-upload
No prior visa refusals
Ghana travel history declared
No criminal record
No Non-straightforward mail
POF was a lump sum from a property is sold ( hence I submitted 30 days POF after the said deposit).
Sent a paid mail and they promised a response in 7 days.

What could cause the delay?
Can I request for a refund, since my school will be resuming very soon?

Sorry to bother you. My brother doesn't even know nor have his account officer contact. How best do you think he can solve this, cause that like his major account and if he can't access the account via mobile app or debit card then funds would be trapped there. All efforts to speak to a customer service representative here is met with machine response.

If Nairaland was not beneficial with open info stored over the years, would you come here in the first place? Those who create the WA group monopolize and monetize information as they become middlemen with people who can provide help with certain facets of this journey. If you want to chat one on one with someone for specific info already discussed but still not clear to you, simply use the provisions of Nairaland and message the person. It also helps with accountability cos any dealing you carry over to WA, it is all on you..but right here, your conversations are in the open and documentary evidence. It is truly selfish and same thing killed the Canadian PNP thread ...now no more info and people's eyes are clear. Arrggghhhh.....we are just one of a kind people in this country! Mtcheww

With GTB, I had a similar experience. It was horrible and unpleasant, and I had no choice but to abandon it until I returned home. They charged me for the replacement card, and when I went to pick it up, they informed me that it had been over a year and that I would have to pay another fee for a new card. I'm not going to renew when the current one expires.

He’s saying the fees were subsidized because of Covid, that it’s likely to go up for future intakes after the pandemic or with the influx of applications. In essence, their usual fee is higher than the 9k people are getting it for, not that they’ll ask them to pay extra later.

It's not everyone that had the intention of not declaring. I personally asked for details of my relation in the UK hoping to declare it. I was deceived by the list they showed of the meaning of a family. I didn't know it was an example or including some relationships that may not be obvious. If I had tried selecting YES maybe I could have seen the options that suits my relationship, but I didn't. It's still paining me because my relation was already planning for the arrival of my family to host them. Now I have to spend money to quarantine elsewhere or go to a friend's place which is quite inconveniencing for me, my family, and possibly my friend.

I do hope I could have a way of sorting this error soon or forever pretend that I don't have a relation in the UK.

Ahh justwise firsbank didnt require any video interview with me you know… i got a proof of my address+ my passport + the diaspora form

Documents were signed, dated , stamped by a manager at a hospital (RMN). Took pictures and sent it back to them… in about 15 days it was done(i was fully migrAted)

When I requested for a card… staff told me it would take about 10 days to process my card and token to me. And about 5 days for dhl to deliver.

At the end I cancelled my request for a card.

From personal experience, it took far less than that (just over a week) .
I got someone to pick it by proxy and bring to the UK.

Send an email to GT bank…they’d have to migrate yu to diaspora banking first.

After which they wud be able to post a card to ur address in the uk ( there would definitely be charges)

This happened to me recently with my firstbank acc… the price they quoted to post a card and token to mey uk address was about 20k naira

Not sure immigration officers have readily have information on your application. This they can get go get if ever one gets the white slip.

Many have used school address or booked a hotel and quarantined elsewhere. I did same. mine was a different city, but I did declare I had an in-law in my application.

The passenger locator form, if memory serves me right, did not ask name of my host, just address and my phone number.

Please always try to declare these things or just stay away totally (at least on record)

but it's like that in every 3rd world country, unless it's visa free or your countries signed agreements.

I know Ghanaians that have tried Canada and USA visas with a good profile even with an American bank account with enough money to sponsor 20 people for 4years in Canada and didn't get the visa, even Zambians and tanzanians. I disagreed until I saw proof,
that's why I'm now telling you, you are misinformed. have you heard of Ghanaians NANA?. Lol

One of them his money is still in a German bank and he's also waiting for decision from Canada almost a year now.

Abeg leave that Nairaland Lord called Justwise, him no sabi what is going on. Even most Asians are being denied visa to study in countries like America, UK and Canada and at the end they decided to settle for Eastern European countries. So if person no get good statement of account or have the opportunity to runs traveling stuff make the person no travel abi. That is how it is and will be forever, you can’t change anything and no one is stopping you from using your own genuine documents. Who knows maybe you no even get passport and has been active on travel section of this forum. FYI I’m not in support of traveling abroad with fake documents but let people do their thing in peace Biko. Wetin work for one person can’t work for others and this embassy don’t like the truth. I remember being denied visa because I’m single and no kids but later lied to them I’m married and have got kids. I got the visa straight away. I'll prove you wrong, it's not only Nigerians that struggle to get visa to many countries. I have friends here from different part of the world that tried USA and the likes before trying Ukraine 2/3 times then getting it.

Nigeria is an undeveloped country, so the oyinbo people won't believe that you can leave your 3rd world country and enter one of the first world country and still return back.

So from a first world country to any world country is the most easy because you are from a developed country where everything works.
2nd to 1st world is a bit less stressful.
But from a 3rd world country to a 1st or 2nd world country is not easy because you're like a village boy going to a metropolitan city/area.
it's not only in Nigeria, I have met with many citizens of different countries so I'm taking from FACTS

Don't just come and say your mind without [/b]ADDING TO YOU SENTENCE THAT IT'S JUST YOUR THOUGHTS THOUGH.[b]

People getting US, Canada and many European country visas majority used many lies to sweeten their application that was why they got visas, I know people that denied their siblings when applying and today they are breadwinners to their family in america.
Anything to make your life better so far it doesn't affect another innocent person, Go for it.

The only advise I give to people planning to come to Ukraine is this, if you are sure you can sustain your self in Ukraine after sacrificing that much for Visa, then no wahala but if not, go back to your drawing board. It's not even that easy in Canada or USA, you still need help until you balance because work and study isn't easy. The good thing is Canada cherishes their international student.
So please do not discourage my fellow aspirants in the name of God and stop using our faith to judge us. You are not God, maybe only on nairaland.

Sir if you want to lose your respect in Canada forum go there and tell them to stop lying in their application that they will come back to Nigeria after studies and that God will not answer their prayer or use their faith against them.

Working here as a student, I might not be rich in USD but I'm rich in Ukrainian hryvnia, if I put in hardwork like a person in the US.

But almost all students here that are now in Ukraine are agent as well ,they may not do visa but they do invitation letter and still add their own to it,am not saying is bad ,but let say the truth

Been an agent is not a crime ,the reason why some people use agent is that they don't have requirements for visa procurement
Some don't have and don't know how to get bank statement ,same thing with those that are old in age and have just olevel result and they expect visa to be granted without filling up the educational gap,,so those are part of what agent does

The only thing someone can advice is for anybody using agent to ask for the charges first ,do a sampling radon ,they will get those ones with fair price that are not greedy

You are very right. Very soon I will expose someone here that will assist you in filling your application form but mid way into it he will start requesting for money from you in other to complete the application.

He will put you in a situation where you will be compelled to pay and if you don't he will abandon you and leave you to your fate.

People must be very careful in dealing with someone outside here especially when one has volunteered to assist you in filling your Visa application form.

There must be an understanding from the beginning and not mid way they start requesting money as if they are agents, knowing it will be difficult to back out.

I will drop receipt soon...

I just had a conversation with a colleague who applied for UK tier 4 dependant visa but was denied. He declared he has someone in the UK other than his wife the main applicant (his younger sister who's married to a UK citizen) and then many question ensued from there during his interview. To cut long story short he was denied on grounds that they don't think he has any intentions to leave the UK upon expiration of the wife's visa.
From this what I will advise is, if you declare you know someone other than the main applicant (talking of dependant applicants under tier 4), be ready to face questions that ensue afterwards as well as the consequences. On the other hand if you fail to declare you have a relative other than the main applicant, the issue is you might be caught and banned (that is if there's any way they will find out) but if you have never declared your relative in the UK in any application to the UK before, you know you won't be staying with them or relying on them for anything, and you know you don't have the requisite informations about them as per income, and the rest, just say NO. My two cents.
