hi all, I just got granted visa to one of the eastern european countries, I be leaving next month

about my complexion am a very fair dude, am just wondering if I will still be steorotype as a black man or be treated like a caucasian with white privilege and all.

hearing different racist stories got me worried, will i Still be called black monkey, despite me been very fair.
Low self esteem , inferiority complex, lack of confidence ..I mean I can go on and on.
I suggest you stay in Nigeria if you are so afraid of carrying your skin colour with pride.

One last good news for you… you are born black and you will remain one even if you go Micheal Jackson just to claim “white”.

Honestly you should be disappointed with yourself for asking this embarrassing question

Euros? I think the person paid £100 minus or so.
I finally read the UK version of that website, that fast track has been suspended and they are encouraging people to apply for ETC if one need the passport urgently. As they are still processing April applicants there is no point even applying now.

My heartfelt condolences. May her soul rest in peace.

I heard you can travel with an expired Nigerian passport. I don't know how true this is.

Thank you.

Yes that is possible depending on the airline from the Uk, if you are allowed to board then you have no prob also you need to be holding a valid foreign passport.

You will not get a visa to any western country to travel to do mental job. No embassy will give you such visa

Do you get a job in Nigeria without a skill or work experience let alone Internatioal job market.

Please all help, I am trying to pay IHS dependent fee and I put my wife's course expiration date as Visa end date and it is bringing a fee lesser than what my wife paid. Someone advised that I add 6 months to the expiration. Please who has similar experience and how did you solve it.
Avoid doing that. continue with the application if you paid less they will contact you to pay the right amount

I spoke with him not quite long, he said the divorce papers are no where to be found... (He misplaced them long time ago).He said during his student visa application, he didn't upload the divorce paper because he couldn't find it.

Please justwise, What if his wife submits her application without her husband's divorce paper ...Like what's going to happen ?

Please help
You have no choice other than to apply without it, with your marriage certificate you should be fine

Sorry fr your loss, may God comfort you.
If the premium/same-day service is still available, use it. I know someone who did it some months back but I don't know if it's still available.
I have been very lucky in the sense that all the 3 times I have had to renew my passports, it has been almost stress free.
Thanks for this info, just read it now on their website, it cost extra 30 euros

Please this is for those who lives in the following Countries, Switzerland, Holland and UK.

I am seeking to travel out for greener pasture, the agent I contacted gave me an Options of the above listed Countries? Is there any hope of securing a stay in any of those countries without stress, either through Assylum or any other means. If yes, is getting a job a guaranteed? If yes, which country would you prefer for me. First its a budget of 2.5 to 3m and he said UK is 1.2m
You will be scammed, no agent will get you visa if you are not qualified with skills, don't waste your money else it will end in tears.

Good evening everyone.

Please, do I need to accept an unconditional offer of admission before requesting for deferment of the offer or I can make the request without accepting the offer first?

Thank you for the prompt response.
You need to accept first then defer

You have to wait until you get an email confirmation for your appointment which will most likely be next year tbh.(I paid since May and I’m still waiting).

They are currently attending to April applicants.
Now this is painful to read..was hoping to get a new passport rather than applying for visa or TC to travel for my mum's burial, i have been monitoring this passport issue since last year as i planned to see her early this year sadly she passed away few days ago. oh well...

You guys are just petty. Firstly we have a bad reading culture in Nigeria and many folks don't have enough patience to read through and understand clearly. Secondly we have lots of minors here, folks less than 18 yrs for undergraduate study and even those older like in early twenties who still don't know their left from right and it's easy to detect them here from the kind of questions being asked.

Let's always be more reasonable in our responses, the visa application questions are a bit technical and some times it's difficult for some to answer yes or no. Using our personal experience as a standard for everyone is very selfish and unreasonable. Lots of people even asked questions here and never get answers.
Peacecharles:
The application state if I was traveling with my dependants, they choose the No answer and secondly
They used an account statement of 12m on my application and I got the visa. After I got the visa, instead of advising me to transfer the fund to my dependant account, they said I should print the same account statement I used but this time it should be a different date.i did so,my dependants applied and they were refused. Because of that my Visa was cancelled with a ten years band.
I was invited for an interview,I told them it was my agent that handle the application and that was what I was advised to do.it was still a refusal but this time the ten years band was cancelled .someone introduced me to narialand, have really learnt a lot here.

Guys please help me,
Two months ago,an employer in Canada I met online gave me a job offer to working on site there in Canada. I took the offer after the employer made a mouth watery promise of paying for the visa & flight ticket from the company's account BUT I'll payback the expenditures by deducting certain percent from my weekly salary for few months.

But a recent happening got me confused when my employer's travel agent in Nigeria started asking for 150dollars which is requested from the lady at the Canada visa office as charges. What charges again? This demand came after a-month-of-processing of the visa. I contacted my Canada employer about this development, he said I should go on & pay that he'll refund me with my proof of payment when I get over there. I haven't paid any dime since this started honestly.
Meanwhile, the two documents required from me by my employer are; soft copies of the data page of my international passport & passport photograph only. My employer also told me he paid 3,000dollars for the visa processing under a month and could be refunded if I declare not interested. How possible?

Please experienced Nairalanders, is this a God's given opportunity or scam? Mature response will go a long way helpful please.

Okay, My school is GCU London, so I’m just thinking about the best option in terms of accommodation and the price range, so I can start planning. I’m coming in January
Renting in London is expensive, rent ranging from £200-£300 or more per week

It's not a bad advice pls, folks are making unnecessary mistakes and getting refusal so you want people to keep getting denied?

I have said my own. Just concerned about the money people are spending and still getting refused. There are credible agencies out there that people can consult and get sorted. The kind of questions people are asking here shows they need help.
How many people here got refusal and how many was successful since 2009 when this thread was started?

@justwise and other gurus in the house... I want to ask on behalf of my brother in law...

He applied for a visit visa in 2017 and he was marriage certificate to someone else then ... Unfortunately for him, he wasn't granted visa due to some financial purposes (Unexplained Source bla bla)

He applied for student visa (Sept intake) and he got the visa already , when he was applying he was divorced, so his marital status on his visa application form was (Divorced)
He got his visa On the 14th of May ... He re-married 2 months after he has gotten his visa (July 2021)

He's actually in the UK now and he wants to apply for his wife to join him as dependant

The questions are:
1) is it important for his wife to include his husband divorce letter in her application?
2) Does the husband have to write any letter of explanation to the visa officer with his wife's application?
3) Does he have to inform the school his wife will be coming to UK as his dependant?

if there's any other documents to be uploaded with the application .. kindly help me

Thanks
1, Yes

2. Doing that will not harm her application, just brief explanation will do

3. No

Nice explanation.
Pls Compare Uni Aberdeen and Bradford...
Pls in terms of student work, and probably school system or general.
Pls sir.
Never been to Aberdeen so i will not be able to give you an informed facts about that city but i have lived in Bradford, very affordable city to live in, the university is very good as well, vibrant student community, part time job or accommodation shouldn't be a prob but traveling to London is quite a distance

Okay thanks for your response!
Another question pls, for housing in London , how much should one be looking at monthly? What’s the range? And are there cities around London where i can get cheaper rent ?
Is your school in London? If yes and you are thinking of living outside London and traveling for lectures then consider the cost of train or bus to London.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 6 by justwise(mod): 8:55pm On Sep 25, 2021
Aikayval:
But which city is then cheap to live?
Generally the further you move away from capital city the cheaper, cities 1-2hrs away from London are usually expensive because some people work in London, earn London rate but live outside London, they put pressure on housing and other social facilities in those cities, ready to pay more than those working locally and earning less.

i think with my wife we will be able to work cos i still have to pay my 50% tuition and also considering the finances for the visa application also i can only afford for my wife at the moment. I hope applying for my wife alone wont raise a red flag? @justwise
