Davidstar:
Good evening Nairalanders,

I will be honest here I have applied for tourist visa to go meet her in London but got denied, now we plan on getting married so I can re-apply the UK , visa as an Immigrant and have the opportunity to work over there not like tourist visa u hide and work ect! A friend of mine advice me that she ave to visit Nigeria , for our wedding and that will be a court wedding precisely and that she will go back to UK and file for the visa

I want to know if what my friend told me is absolutely true before inviting her to Nigeria because for her to come over to 9ja everything must be plan and put in order and lost of money involve ect’s!

Everyone is welcome to answer me here
Thanks

What your friend said is true, but before you go ahead please read about UK spouse visa requirements to know if your woman meets the requirements. Its very expensive visa to apply for, so you have to gather a lot of documents.

There is spouse visa thread here, take your time and go through it for full understanding of what it entails.

Idabakanta:
Abeg lets be men o.. we are already derailing this important thread o.. make we no get eachother for mind abeg.. in other news, after arriving in Poland, you can tear your naija passport and claim stateless.. Poland dey give stateless people citizenship provided you can speak Polish and have lived there at least 5 years...

This is exactly why your character is not needed here. This sort of fraudulent advice is not needed in this section

MsChidi:
Hi everyone,

I travelled 10 years ago, lost the passport and I can’t remember the period I left and returned. I know the year, but not the day & month.

In the travel history section, what do I fill for “when did you enter this country?” & “when did you leave this country?”

Pls help.

State the year and in the blank space make a brief explanation that you can't remember the exact month or day

TMJDiva:
Please can anyone help me with these questions:

1. Will my visiting visa be cancelled when I get a study visa?

2. Can I travel on my visiting visa now (even if I have a study visa starting in September)and stay there till my study starts?

Or do I have to return to Nigeria again and enter UK with the study visa in September?

Thanks

1. I don't think your visiting visa will be cancelled

2. I'm not sure why you want to complicate issue for yourself , why do you want to travel this early to stay for at least 4months before your course starts, what will you tell the immigration officer at POE if asked? And what will you be doing in the UK for that long? To work with visiting visa or student visa before school starts?

yungchop:
justwise please keep an eye on this guy. very important.

Definitely.....

preciousmudia:
Please for those that did self service, what document did you take to the TLS center for your appointment... Please list them...

@justwise anyone

The same document listed on your CAS, marriage certificate(if needed) and TB certificate

samcrispy:
FIRST NAME: OLUSEGUN

MIDDLE NAME: SAMUEL

LAST NAME: OKEGBEMIRO

The above is my correct name and it’s correctly written on my university certificate but not on my WAEC result.

Your first and last name has to match in your documents else you are not the same person.

Get court affidavit to correct that

GreenAgain:
Please, Justwise and those in house advise me on third party tuition deposit:

My brother (different surname) who is in the UK has offered to pay 50% tuition deposit, a condition for CAS from my prospective school for me.
Is this tenable? Do the embassy require deposit payment receipt/teller as part of Visa application?

Thanks.

That is not a prob but he has to pay with your details

orlahtohbadt:
You just gave reason why you hide comments today and then I used to ask you, do not reply and knowing I didn't write anything contradictory to the laws of the forum, you usually keep mute. Don't use today's issue to cover up for the past. Person dey tell you to read content before deleting you dey do strong head. Read comments well, yes I know people connive to scam people but my comment or that comment you deleted today that triggered this issue was not malignant and that's because you didn't wait to read it in its entirety.

You are making an ignorant comment, i read her post word to word before hiding it and she talked about agent that got her work permit and how quick it was done, she also talked about agent that 'scammed' her.

I don't have to reply every single post here AFTER posting generally about the same issue then you turned up to ask me about the same issue?

orlahtohbadt:
I don't know why Justwise keep deleting relevant comments. Maybe he doesn't wait to read it but as long as there is a keyword agent in the comment, he is okay to delete it. I keep asking why he hides my comment too, e no dey give reason. person give better advice, you delete am. E get where she say make them come dey pay money to am?

What other explanation do you want from me? No agency discussion here means exactly that, i read every single post here and i know when people are posting just to receive pms without expressly mentioning any agent's name.

I couldn't be bothered about ignorant ones here running their mouths, i will always keep an eye on this.

Yes this thread is always agent den.

@All

Can i repeat this again here..no agency discussion here whether real or fake, do your own research about agent you want to use.

I have noticed for a long time here that a lot of people have turned themselves to agents using all sorts of means to advertise here. This will not be allowed.

hustla:
Thanks!

Someone said its high and not CBN rate

That is for sure

samcrispy:
Hello Everyone please I have a question to ask and I will be glad if anyone can answer.

*My waec result has my name written as OKEGBEMIRO SEGUN S.
But my name on my university certificate is written as OKEGBEMIRO OLUSEGUN SAMUEL.

Do I need to correct the name on my waec result Or there is another way I can go about it? or there is no need to correct it.

What is your first and last name?

Phatkings:
Just saw this tho
Didn't see fixed deposit as not evidence

Good that you did your own research as i wasn't sure and did not want to mislead you.

justwise

Good Morning, I salute your work on this thread

Got some questions

It possible to use the Global Pay method from Nigeria? https://student.globalpay.wu.com/teesside#!/
or the alternative https://payonline.tees.ac.uk/open/Default.asp

I just checked teeside now and and the first two appear to be the recommended methods

Will i be debited at the bank rate or I should just go with the form A method?

Really don't know anything about those payment methods

Myrage2:
@justwise please do you know the procedure to renew my Nigerian passport?

I really don't understand the procedures anymore, it used to be straightforward by applying online, make payment then book appointment but now i'm not sure if the embassy is even opened let alone making an application.

Phatkings:
Can someone present a money on his fixed deposit account due to be mature by January for his visa process

I don't think fixed deposit will work, you need to read the rule a little bit

Callmed:
@justwise Good morning.

Please can my sponsor pay my tuition deposit with his account? My sponsor in this case is my dad, he uses a stanbic bank account and I heard stanbic has a faster process.

Yes he can

wizzy2021:
If I am granted a Visa with my dependents, can I enter the UK before them. I would like to apply with them, but leave in August or September and they come in December/January.

Is this possible?
@justwise

Yes you can enter before them but i'm not sure about the time limit

AirBay:
Hello house,

My course start date is 1st of September, would it be okay to apply for a visa by mid June with an arrival date of 1st August? I am a PhD student.

@justwise kindly advise.

Sure you can

haywhy17:
@justwise, he's not fraudulent. He's a friend of mine and we are both processing a school in the UK together. when he told me about it yesterday, I told him to take the matter to matter to nairaland because I wondered why people aren't being using the route if it is that easy. More reason why he never mentioned the name of the so called company. After searching nairaland, the company name didnt pop up. He never meant to advertise any company.

He is and he is not new here, just an old member who created that ID today to 'taste the water'

He wasn't asking about the legitimacy of the package, he wants to know if its better than paying heavy international tuition fees

He doesn't need to mention the name of the company, posting it here is enough to get desperate nairalanders sending him pm

labelle27:
waec, degree cert and transcript which I have sent for more than 3wks now

Wait for their reply

QurratulAyn:
Hello @Just wise and other gurus in the house... I need your help
I'd like to ask if applying for Msc Microbiology is a good one in UK, as well as getting a well paid job after the career.

Thanks

I don’t know much about that very course but you can search the occupational job list to see if it’s listed.

At least that will give you an idea how demanded such field is

labelle27:
@justwise,at what point do I get unconditional offer, because I only have the conditional offer and I have sent a mail with the supporting documents but yet to receive the unconditional offer ,I was thinking I had to deposit before d unconditional offer can be issued ,so I can get CAS . The conditional offer has no bank details of the school. I will appreciate your clarification.

What condition do you have to meet?

osewadare:
Good day all,

Thanks for all the information so far. It's been very helpful so far.

Is a Dollar/Pounds DOM Account permissible for showing proof of funds ?

and if yes does it change anything about my application ?

@Justwise and all please assist.

Dom account is is ok but it doesn’t change anything about your application

Olalekank:
That’d be unnecessary shalaye.

Oh well....

Olalekank:
Omo! The “hustle” is real. All the stories didn’t add up

Which story did not add up and what is real about the hustle?

Lexusgs430:
I clearly remember a few years ago, in this same Ìbàdàn!!!!! Loads of people got visa scammed (thousands of people)......

I am not alluding this is a scam....... But, why not apply yourself........ Agents are becoming a dying breed.....

That case played out in this section and the thread started as an innocent question but within days agents behind the fraud invaded the thread to give it an oxygen while pretending to be innocent applicants, At the end about 8K and more Nigerians were scammed and scammers made millions.

Allowing that seemly innocent thread to stand promoted that scam far more than the scammers would have done.

I don't know if the guy behind that massive scam was arrested at the end but i understand that he left Nigeria to the UK.

Few years after the scam he emailed me to complain about his details contained in some of the threads i started to expose him.

Obehi44:
House please i need to know a few things when applying for the UK study visa:
1. Can a canada study visa refusal have any effect on a UK study visa application?
2. Do i declare a Canada study visa refusal? if YES,
if more than one refusal, do i declare only the date of the last refusal?
3. I am meant to believe those countries share datas and that biometrics last for 10years. Will i need to do another biometrics for the UK study visa?
4. If yes to number 3, Is biometrics payment separate aside visa fee?
5. Will there be space for me to upload documents myself or i will need a hard copy of all the documents? Though i have most as soft copies.

@justwise and the great men and women in the house, Please help with this response. Many of us will grab something from this please....
Thank you!

1. Yes and No, it depends on the reason for the refusal

2. Yes declare all visa refusals

3. Yes you have to do another biometric

4. No you don't pay separately for biometric as your visa payment covers that but you have to pay for TB test

5. Yes there is space to upload your documents during visa application.

@All

Apologies for hiding Akanjimole's you quoted or replied to, he is not asking an innocent question rather he knowingly and indirectly advertising the fraudulent visa scheme

@Akanjimole you are banned from this section

haywhy17:
Even if the money has been withdrawn after using it to apply for CAS?

Put the money back and start counting 28days

preciousmudia:
So what will happen if someone has paid and booked for his appointment but before his appointment, his bank statement has passed 31 days he printed it..
Can he still use it?? I will be submitting the documents on the day of the appointment
