Cyberknight: Unless the rules have changed (let the inquirer call the NHS and find out the current position), students were eligible for a UK EHIC for short vacations in the EU. I know someone who had one while she was pursuing her program in the UK then. You need an insurance to apply for Schengen visa, the IHS you paid during visa application does not cover you in Schengen zone. If you want to use EHIC you have to apply for that. |

Cyberknight: It does until 31 December, but you have to apply for the EHIC. I think its free. At least it used to be. You need an NI number for that. Check the NHS website for procedure.
For the visa application, however, you still need travel insurance as a prerequisite. The standard 30,000 euro cover is not expensive (averages about 5k in Nigeria), so you have to get it too. It doesn't. |

Tobexin: Justwise and co please does my health insurance as a student in Uk covers me in any Schengen state also? Because I tend to visit Switzerland and Germany during the spring holiday and going through the application procedures I was meant to know That Nigerians are expected to do insurance but I already have one with Uk. Is that sufficient? Or I should still pay for the Schengen own? You mean the £300 you paid during the visa application? |

Do you know what it would take to bring one of dumps up to a living standard which is a requirement by the government for purchasing it?
The 60k will varnish and he will go neck deep in debt.
Just bow out gracefully. Stop arguing unnecessarily That is exactly how it works, some local councils here even put up houses for £1 with such condition. The problem with such houses is the location, high crime rate and bad social facilities. |

Brodapounds: Sincerely i am interested in any legal way of leaving the country.
As long as my stay in USA is legal, then I'm fulfilled in life.
I feel the school in USA will be more easier route.
But as long as I'm the USA, i have no problem, I'm an hustler and i can make big money legally in USA because i believe in myself.
Part of why i want to go to USA is that I'm a music writer and lover, i can sing very very well but i just have to drop music and focus on making money all these years.
But i know in the USA, even if i don't sing, i write songs very well and as a member of a drama group in school, i can act very well.
So i feel USA can give me the opportunity to explore my talent. I can sell the songs i write. Then don't waste your money paying for school fees in US only to get there not going to school then out of status. You can't fulfill all that dream and talent living illegally and hiding from the authority |

Brodapounds: Hello dear nairalanders.
Please I'm going through a state of mental confusion.
Currently i have approximately 20 million and 300 thousand naira in my bank account.
I have two thoughts.
1) I am 25 years old but I'm not a university graduate, i only have ND (National deploma) from a polytechnic In Edo state, Auchi precisely.
I would have become a graduate years ago but after my "ND" years ago, i refused to go back to school and i decided to hustle for money.
Most of my classmates in school back then are all graduates but all the same, looking at my bank account now, i have no regrets.
So this is what i plan on doing.
1) Can i further my Education In any university in the United States with the money and plan on staying back after my degree, for the fact that I'm 25. Will that be advisable?
2) should i stay back in Nigeria and use part of the money to build a house In my hometown in Benin and use the rest for business?
3) Is there a chance of going to USA and start all over again, look for job. Will the money be enough to rent a house, foot some bills untill i see a job in the USA.
Note i choose USA only because it's my dream country, I'm not scared of the traveling ban because I'm 100% confident that it will be taken away few months from now.
Please i won't be replying any mention or questions.
All i want is to take note of good advice.
I already know a reliable traveling agent.
Please other suggestions are welcomed apart from mine.

Adgideon: the Bible talk about first fruit God servants preached about it, so is by choice, it might not b your January salary whatever you receive or get in the beginning of the year, giving is by choice This is exactly the problem.. no where in the bible was first fruit monetised, no where in the bible was first mentioned to be ones first whole month salary but many pastors have boldly misinterpreted the bible to suit their own selfish interests. When it came the tithe the bible was specific 10% but with first fruit it says give the best out of what God has blessed you with. |

When you’re paying online , the card charges you the current exchange rate mostly black market plus bank card charges. They don’t charge you based on that damn oanda rate.

Adgideon: God told Cain and Abel to bring the first and best of their produce Abel did but Cain did not and we how God accepted Abel's own. First fruit is giving to God the first of your income if your faith can carry it, just like tithe you do or don't. In the old it was either your farm or animal produce, but now is money, which is use for the running of the church, Can you show me anywhere in the bible where it stated that one should bring the whole Jan salary as first fruit? |

So I don’t know how you’re getting your own sum.
Follow that Oga and shift Abeg The embassy uses oanda for conversion and this is the rate as of today As for your insult above..i will pretend as if i did not see it for now..

Oke00700: You don’t make any sense . No need to argue.
Nobody will in come back to this thread 2 years later to believe that ihs it’s still 150k equivalent without cross checking .
Anyone with common sense will know that I’m referring to now as asked by that Nairalander. I wrote everything in naira as well to make it easier for him .
Abeg shift , you don’t have any case You obviously referring to yourself there because ANaledi made a sensible point. Even as you are busy insulting yourself you failed to realize that £300 is not actually 150K, its 140,252, because currency market fluctuates its only sensible to state the figures in £ rather than naira. You don't have to insult people if you happens to disagree with that person. |

Myself2: Is the pastor the founder of the church ? If so, then you will understand that he is after his belly. In Old Testament times, the chief priests were too busy in the temple with their priestly duties and they were not known to farm, so all the first fruits offerings were generally meant for the chief priest. Do you have a chief priest now ? Is that the system we are operating now ? A lot of church leaders will not tell their congregation this truth which will enable them have a more informed opinion about first fruits and decide whether to be part of it or no,put especially as it's not a prerequisite for making heaven and refusal to pay is not a sin He is the senior pastor with a lot of branches under him, he is more or less the owner of the church |

Oke00700: Visa -175k IHS -150k £300 per year
You need only 28 days statement with your account not going less than required amount
You still have enough time to make up for the money required.
Goodluck |

lynniebabes: @justwise good afternoon sir. I’m a graduate of economics and want to go for msc social works. But ukeas agent told me it’s very difficult to get in and also most schools don’t accept international students. She also suggested I go on with another msc program, work as social worker partime, write there registration exam, if I pass then become a registered social worker. She wouldn't know if that has changed or will change but her student did that. Can it still be done ? If no then what schools do you suggest I apply to. Thanks I don't want to waste my time talking about agent here..my question to you is..have you done your own research regarding this course? Why do you rely on agent to make such an important decision when you can easily contact those schools to find out? |

You can continue with the application , when they reply you follow up their explanation. It will not affect the application.
