It happened in March 2019. But I intend re-applying in October so that I can go in December.
You can reapply anytime you are ready and correct the mistake you made previously and also explain what happened at the POE.

Hi Justwise, Ekpotek & Gurus in the house,

Pardon me for my lengthy narration. I am part of a project execution in my office and as such, were told to go on annual leave early this year so as to achieve the project's goals.

I applied for a Visa and was issued successfully based on this major reason. In my preparation, I moved funds to my GBP account but with 100 pounds cash with me because I don't want to be moving cash around. . I have paid for my hostel and trains within London ahead while in Nigeria.

However, when I got to Heathrow's airport, the border officer complained that the cash I had with me was too small. I showed him the funds in my various accounts even with my GBP account but was denied entering. My office was contacted to confirm the veracity of my status and also my contact in the UK. The major reasons were I paid for 7 days hostel but have a return ticket of 12 days and I said I am seeing my contact in the UK.

I have the option to appeal but will take 28 working days to complete. In order not to jeopardise my project work in Nigeria, I opted to fly back home.

I later appealed the cancellation and the decision was neither rejected nor accepted with a condition that I should have appealed in the UK. Even the appeal fee was refunded. I want to re-apply for visa to use my leave in December and will state all the incidences with appropriate references.

Can I go ahead to apply and wont be seen as a sort of desperation?

Thank you.
When was this?

hello I need advice. I applied for a visitors visa some weeks ago with the intention of writing an exam during the visit but didn't mention the exam in my application. I used a sponsor. Now I was denied coz they said I didn't explain my finances. the exam I want to do has it's own visa ie plab visa. now am thinking should I reapply with for a plab visa or should I still just stick with my visitor's visa. will it look like am not honest? is each application treated independently of previous ones?
1. There is nothing like plab visa.

2. Can you afford this trip without a sponsor?

Hello Oga @Justwise please, i want you to clarify this to me. I was refused 2years ago and I'm about to re-apply. The last time i used a hotel reservation and stated that i didn't know anyone there. Now my aunt in UK wants to invite me over and i also have our saved chat history.

Won't it complicate my visa application? Please advise me.
If spotted it will be an issue only if your aunt moved to the UK after your first application

That surprises me watching the video, how can she produce 3kids with somebody who has no settled paper in Germany? I don't believe anything she says though

I think something isn’t clear btw you &
I.

What I understand from your statement is, one of the parents will require a TOTAL stay in the country of just only 3yeas plus a permanent permit for a child to gain citizenship.

I’m saying no because the permanent RP itself takes btw 3-5years to acquire, starting from the day you received the first RP.
And you must live with it for atleast 3years.
No that was not what i said.. i said at least 3yrs

Freiburger:
No. One of the parents must hold a permanent resident permit for at least 3years or legally lived in the country for at least 8years. The latter is also possible without having to posess the permanent permit.
justwise:
If their father is a citizen or permanent resident permit holder and have lived in Germany for at least 3yrs then those kids are citizens
..but that was what i said and you quoted it

Chai! This is why it's not good to stay in a country illegally. They should have at least allowed her to clear her account (if she has any) before bundling her and her kids on the next flight.

Just watched the video and I am not understanding why you interviewer kept emphasizing on "why would a country deport their own citizen?" He doesn't know that being born in an EU country doesn't guarantee your citizenship like it's done in the US and Canada. If you like birth 10 children there, they will never be regarded as citizens of that country. For the woman not to have a passport means she entered Europe illegally through the Mediterranean and migrated into Germany without any travel documents. All the time she was in Germany, she couldn't locate a Nigerian embassy to get their passports done? How can you and your kids not have passports and you continued living in a foreign country comfortably because you birthed them there? She brought this upon herself, now her children have to suffer the consequences of her stupidity. Poor kids.
If their father is a citizen or permanent resident permit holder and have lived in Germany for at least 3yrs then those kids are citizens

cheesy cheesy Isn't it clear that it is you who can't handle an alternate opinion. I clearly stated how both sides weren't wrong but you saw it as taking sides cos i didn't condemn the other side and pitch my tent on your side. Oga get off your high horse, take suggestions objectively and stop acting pained.

Again, maybe you should go back several pages and read my take on the matter. Some of us have just clearly mastered the art of seeing things from different perspectives, a skill you clearly lack.
This is coming somebody who started by saying that i'm sounding like a broken record?

Acting pained in what sense exactly? Do you think that i'm in a twist regarding my immigration status or job? Do you think i'm here looking for solution or suggestion on how to move to another country? You really just want to say something..

Well said. I think the problem with most Nigerians abroad is that they want to return but really dont know whr to start so they rather remain in that survival job and console themselves with i am doing it for my kids. If they had the opportunity to rewind their lives they wud hv stayed in Nigeria. In my opinion do whatever makes you happy cos u only hv one life to live and you dont want to live it in regret. I will rather be a king in my country than be a slave in oyinbo land.
So if the surviving job is paying their rent, bills, put food on their table and put their kids future in relatively safe environment you want them to return to Nigeria to do what?

Lol! You're beginning to sound like a broken record on most education abroad thread I see you on. We all know that the fact that one studied/studies abroad doesn't mean the govt of the country promised or owe them jobs but stop trying to stifle the voices of people saying it as it is.

Education abroad has become a strategic means of fuelling the economy for most countries, even the citizens decry this act.

Doesn't hurt for people to get the word out on this. In the long run it's same message you and them are trying to pass across: don't expect anything cos truly they owe you nothing but want your money to fuel their economy. Leaves them aware of the likely consequences of whatever decision is made.
Thread like this comes up here at lest once a year and we have people like you who will show up to lament how you paid so much in fees and nobody is giving you a job after graduation and when anybody tries to present opposing views insults started flying around.

Many of you are so intolerant of alternative views and rather call names and level allegations only because I see things differently.

I think the biggest problem we Nigerians face is wanting to get big overnight and wanting instantaneous results.

First things first , 'menial jobs' or casual jobs are something almost everyone in the west does at one stage of their lives. I've lived in Canada for several years since I was a teen and virtually all my friends who are canadians started doing menial jobs at 16/17 (waitress , chef , delivery guys, facility maintenance). But a lot of nigerians think they are too big for that, It wasn't till recession hit and naira dropped that many international students got part time jobs at walmart and the likes.

With the exception of canadian kids whose parents are in the top 5% , they've all worked this same menial jobs . The truth is you cant go somewhere new and instantly expect to be living large. Although I know its tough leaving your job as bank manager in nigeria and you have to start working as a security guard but in most cases that's temporary for a couple of months.

Also one more thing is the degree you study matters , arts degrees and similar irrespective of nationality or skin colour find it hard. In fact most times go to a retail store like Michael Kors, Zara , a lot of the people you see there have degrees but there arent a lot of jobs for those degrees. Honestly in the world of today without a STEM degree or plenty of experience getting a job is a challenge.
Thank you!!!

How many it companies or business are sponsoring Nigerians .Job sponsorship is very low right now . You must be one of a kind to get it now . In the US , Indians have claimed the IT market. Look at the visa bulletin for the US for 2018. Only about 495 Nigerians got employed preference visa, now compare that to the thousands of students who come into the US per year to study.

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/AnnualReports/FY2018AnnualReport/FY18AnnualReport%20-%20TableIII.pdf
Did they start that company to look after Nigerians? Why do we have this false sense of entitlement? How many jobs are Nigerian govt creating for Nigerian graduates? Did you not do your research before investing ££££ into foreign education?

Not everybody will get that professional job after graduation even in Nigeria.

Very painful! These goons here glorify suffering so much that you’d think it’s hideous not to suffer before breaking through.

Nigerians pay way too much than they end up getting on the long term. The OP is not alone. Thousands of Nigerians are stuck like him but scared to admit.

When I’m chanced, I’m definitely going to make a post to bring to fore the senselessness of embarking on these evil mission where educational agents convince Nigerian Parents to part with thousands of dollars to go fund an economy where their children end up being aged caregivers and all sorts. They save to come ball in December and run back to continue from where they stopped. I hope only sane people with experience would comment under the post tho.

Most of these people don’t and can never get it. They think you’ve got some bourgeoisie mindset when in fact what you’re serving is basic free tip for useful minds to decipher.

You are contradicting yourself. Your arguments are invalid . When an individual is on a student visa and wants to stay back to works that means you will need job sponsorship to get work authorization. Now is it tesco or Walmart’s going to sponser a student to work as a cashier ?

You can only work as a cashier in Tesco or Walmart? Do you know that those companies run graduate programs in business and IT fields?

The high fees you paid does not come with job offer by the school or the foreign govt., you are paying for the knowledge and certificate just like in Nigeria.

No it’s called a student visa for a reason, it’s for you to study . Nigerians go through issues because they violate the terms of their visa or they try to use the student visa to immigrate which the U.K. has caught on too and is making it very difficult for foreigner students. How does it make financial senses to spend thousands of dollars / euros or pounds to study and not get a decent paying job .

You are contracting yourself and all over the place with your point.

Did the school or the foreign govt promised you a job during the admission/visa application? How many Nigerians are working in Nigeria after graduation?

Answer my question how many Chinese or Lebanese people started with cleaning job in Nigeria? Justwise learn to read and comprehend , the op is talking about long term career opportunities.
I don't think i'm ready to waste my time today educating you about living abroad on student visa or post graduate visa.

If you are truly exposed you wouldn't be comparing China and Lebanese citizens to Nigerians. Chinese and Lebanese have the money only looking for business opportunity to invest, they study abroad on scholarships paid by their govt.

Justwise , you are not exposed at all. I have abroad for over 20’years , so I know what I’m talking about. That’s why Nigeria is not good . Do Chinese or lebanese come to Nigeria to take cleaning jobs or gateman jobs?
I'm sure you have learned anything helpful to others throughout those 20yrs if at all you have stayed that long 'abroad'.

You have no clue how many foreign students with limited opportunities get by and eventually scale though..almost every single one of them started with menial jobs.
