@All
Has anybody here on spouse visa traveled to another EU country with his/her husband/wife who is a British citizen without a visa?
A neighbour is planning to visit France for few days with her husband, she couldn't get a conclusive info online and she has contacted the French embassy but hasn't gotten a reply yet.
Anybody with a practical experience here or know somebody know who has traveled without a visa to other EU country without a visa? |

NanaOne1: Hello Justwise and all,
Please this query is still confusing me.
If I am gainfully employed and I have a side business which I have registered as an Enterprise (sole-proprietor) is it required to provide tax payments during the visa application? and without it you may be refused? My sister is in this situation and she even uses her savings account to run her side business so she doesn't keep proper records.
Also please assist with the attached. 1.She earns GBP 300 from her official work 2.she earns GBP 610 per year from her side business. 3. She has GBP 3154 in her investment
Please is the total amount of money that you get in a year correct has I have captured on the form? I was thinking it maybe the 300 + 610 or that question only refers to her other side business?
Thank you Total amount means just that.. total amount.. all the money you earn in a year. When you are running unregistered business and no tax paid you need to take your time and explain to the ECO nature of your business, else leave the business out of your visa application and use salary account alone. |

ademeedee: I have been looking for information about a child of 10 years that wants to apply for a visiting Visa on her own but i cannot find anything specifically. Like how much she should have in her account, documents required. Her mum has a valid UK visa so she wants her to apply on her own. I saw that she pays the same amount for the Visa applicants as an adult. Please help is needed. How is that remotely possible? |

nellaluv: Please is it advisable to go for two-year master? And what if you're not able to get an internship placement? Are there consequences? My course business management. Some masters program comes with internship and it will be stated in your CAS, the school will organise it with some companies locally but the problem is sometimes you hardly get internship in your area of study. Very few people will get an internship that relates to their courses. Some companies see it as a way of getting a cheap labour and you will be lucky to get one that pays you. Doing internship will not affect your visa renewer as long as your school approves it. |

chukyrooy: Good Evening Guru's about submitting my documents, I printed my statement today and I just remembered that I made a transfer of 500k into the account from my other account, although when I remembered I quickly withdrew /transfered the 500k back over the next 2 days. I submitted my own account just to show my salary inflow. My question is since I'm using my family's company (I'm a director) as the sponsor and submitting the company account statement, do I need to still explain the deposit in my account? Yes |

Viqtour: Thanks bro, I appreciate. However, as we were desperate we paid the agent most of the money; visa priority, visa fee and advance for processing. I never knew I could pay with my MasterCard. He has started working on it and has sent me the form to confirm the details. I just hope we get value for the money spent. Not the end of the world but never allow the agent to add any document that is not from you and never allow him to misrepresent..e.g false info or exaggerate info so as to avoid 10yrs ban. You need to know every single info and document in that application form...if you are not clear come back here to ask. |

Viqtour: Yes Sir he has. I'm worried because I don't want them to deny him Visa. The Dr quoted between 10000- 20000 pounds, and we have in total cash about 26000 pounds and an appointment on 22 of May.
I needed prior information before speaking to the agent yesterday. However, this is what he charged us. I don't know if he overcharged us or it's normal I don't think you need my help then since an agent is working on it, if i gave you all the info what then are you paying the agent for? To complete a form for you? I wish you and your daddy the very best and hope he gets the visa and get treated. |

In uploading the support documents for the children, should all the dcuments be uploaded or just their birth certificate and evidence of studies. Do I need to upload other documents as with the principal applicant(parents)?
Thanks Upload their own documents and make a note that is a family trip, so financial documents will come from parents |

My father has been sick and wants to go to UK for treatment. My uncle is working there and has invited him by writing a letter.
I have no idea of how this visa things work and I'll need some explanations.
We've contacted an agent but I will appreciate if I get proper guidance from here.
I will provide more information as regards the documents assembled to whoever thst guides me. Have your uncle contacted a dr and get a letter from that hospital? |

As the music has changed, please try to make peace with @justwise for the initiative to assemble everyone of common goal together here. If we all should dwell in hostilities, the thread won't be meaning irrespective of the passed informations.
@justwise please also try to be flexible with the laid rules so we won't start comparing you to Kim J Un of North Korea.

But the main reason why @justwise frowns at PM Is so that other people can learn from what ever advice would be given to you, there by making the thread to grow.
Just imagine if all the information that is here were sent by PM.
The aim of this thread would have been completely defeated.

AgroNACT: Dear @justwise and @Schonebaby,
I really understand your concern, and you are really not to be blamed, we really cannot easily trust one another or think that our neighbour has good intentions because of the scar that has been engraved inadvertently on our memories due to bad governance and which brought serious economic hiccups.
As a result, the international communities view us under the lens of enormous doubt, unlike the times of Afe Babalola, Bennet Omalu, Chimamanda, Babalola Borisade (Late), Akinwumi Adesina etc. when good academic intentions and ambition could easily get you a Visa as a genuine student without the need to come from a Bill-gate-like Nigerian background.
However, I have had personal chat and phone call with the Moniker (@Schonebaby) and the said Moniker did not ask me for anything, neither has the person mentioned an agent or trying to make business transaction out of my predicament. It seems like I caught the Moniker's attention simply because we are of the same discipline, though with a level of graduate degree higher than mine.
It is on the strength of the above that i want to clarify the the Moniker (@Schonebaby) is a genuine person, with good intention to assist based on related experience with same spirit as that of a good Nairalander.
I thank you @Schonebaby and @justwise for interest in my case.
Nigeria must work and we must keep contributing to her progress without relenting.
Sincerely, AgroNACT. I think you are missing the point here, this thread is here for people to share their experiences to help others AND when you make mistake openly others will correct you but this is not the case with private conversation, imagine what will happen if everybody contributing here goes private? This thread will die naturally. Don't take whatever you read here as absolute truth, do your own research and ask questions |

Schonebaby: Oga, Have i done anything wrong with what I said? U can see I'm an applicant just like him. Am I advertising any product or what? So the fact that I said I wanted to go through his application with him was an issue? Have I ever posted such a thing before? Na wa o You can delete me from the forum, it does not affect my life and destiny. In Nigeria, there is no freedom to do anything. If the bad economy will not hound you, the leaders and mini semi leaders will frustrate your life. My God woow! So you are also an applicant like him and you are asking him to contact you for info? That you want him to get it right when reapplying? What is so special about your private conversation that can't be said openly here? How are you sure that whatever you are going to tell him in private is correct and will lead to visa approval? |

Dolorsa: What's my offence? Did I say the refusal was mine? I felt the only way I could get response to why that application was refused was to call the owner of the refusal notice a friend. Maybe I should have addressed the applicant as an enemy. The reason was for me to understand open source independent verification used by the UK embassy. @seeyat, you had to open a new account on nairaland, why? Did your former account expire? Please respond to this your new account creation. @Justwise you can also respond to the open source independent verification issue if you have an idea because I just checked GGK global Limited on cac website. The company is actually a registered one her in Nigeria. Other people might also be interested in this. The UK embassy cannot just be collecting our money without issuing visas to people. Why would post the refusal letter here even without getting the consent of the owner? Are you an agent if the owner is truly not your friend? |

Schonebaby: Honestly, I keep reading ur profile and wondering why you were refused. People whose profile have been not so good have been approved visa. Perhaps you had a very sour visa officer? Your purpose of visit is strong, your career progression is ok. Funds are ok, family tie is not bad. Perhaps age? .....31 is not bad for M.Sc. It's possible your NYSC stood strong in the visa officers mind. (The fact that it's compulsory for Nigerians to finish it?) How was your SOP, ur presentation, the grammar, and flow... I'll like to read it. I'm very interested in your case and I want you to get it right the next time. Can u pm me? Your exit from this section will be quicker than you can imagined |
