Hello,

I plan to visit UK in April about easter period (For 7 days) to see my girlfriend although i plan to use hotel booking when applying. I am looking at applying last day in February (About A month away). I earn about 300,000 monthly (about 5 million per annum including other benefits). I have about 900,000 as account balance now (Salary account) and should have about 1.3m by end of february.

Do you think the account balance is sufficient and also not sort of lodgement?

NB:I have been to the UK 3 times between 2011 and 2014 for both studies and visiting

If you budget within 2months of your salary it will help your application because your salary level is good.

@justwise. I want to apply for a UK visa, I don't want to ask for an invitation letter from the people I know but would rather prefer to lodge. How can I get a moderate hotel booking that can be valid. How much is expected as minimum travel amount. I intend using my corporate account statement of account. Will I require to attach pay slip?.

You can use booking.com to make hotel reservation.

Have u seen the email reply from home office? So just drafting a cover letter to explain it briefly would be great right?

@justwise evening bros, please i want to ask a question. I got to UK for my masters programme and then my dad had little issue with his business cos he owns a company and its got to do with taking contracts so he wasn't paid early enough to balance my fees of 2,000£ out of 14,000£ and then struggled to raise 1200£ and by then my Faculty had sent me email and then i had explained and pleaded with them to please give me some more time and i was in my final semester, they didn't and blocked my student id from gaining access to the university to receive my lecture so i used to submit my assignments via my modules until one terrible day they sent me a withdrawal letter that i can't continue my final modules again and then didnt receive any email or letter from Home office about me going back, anyway i came back to Nigeria before my visa was to expire. But now i want to travel with my hubby and son for 10days holiday should i explain it or ignore as i saw the place they asked if one was required to leave the UK or deported. And i said NO because of a truth i never received any letter or email from them then. And then few months after had returned to Nigeria home office emailed me that am witout legal status and then imformed them have left the uk for Nigeria since and sent all my flight ticket and immigration stamp in Nigeria upon arrival then the guy said to me thankn me for my co-operation that i he has indicated on their computers that have left for my country and with that it should negate any difficulties if i wish to return to the uk in future. Please i need your advise.
You have to give brief explanation about the issue since they sent the email after you left the UK. Explaining it will not affect the outcome of the visa application because you have done the right thing by leaving the UK.

It will only enhance your immigration profile by coming out clean about the issue.

The new policy for Masters Student gives them 6 months after their studies to look for a job, so it is feasible for you to stay back in Scotland (UK)
I don't think that policy is in place yet

Lol.op u will lost with this discription .

Take cab / along (100/150) from anywhere they stop you to area 1.
From area 1. Take cab / along (100) or shattered 300/400 to central area , then mention Bank of industry building, blabla.

No bus company will drop u at wuse or garki
Which 'shattered' taxi will collect 300/400 to central area in Abuja if the bus stops you outside Garki, Wuse or Maitama?

I have never being to Abuja before.. lol

Bank of Industry Building ,
Plot 256, Zone AO, off Herbert Macaulay way,
Central Business District,
Abuja.
Thanks

Justwise
That address is in Garki Abuja, when you get to Abuja take a taxi to that address. Take a bus company that will stop you either in Wuse or Garki then take a taxi to that address.

hi All,

what i learnt
1. be Honest- this interview guys are smart. if your story is not straight they will see through it
2. be composed
3.be prepared
4. Then leave the rest to God

On Hospital search, if you no get time, use agent (dont be stingy lol, shebi you wan go spend million in America grin then verify what they got for you. or read Nairaland and google the rest. its best to search for an OBGYN in your desired area first then they can tell you the hospital they use or even share the hospital rates with you

Now my question - abeg make una help me
For the visa interview i used Virginia and said i didn't know anyone on my form - now i have an offer of accommodation in Dallas Texas (family friend). however total medical bill for Virginia (CS) is lower than that of Texas. Bill from Virginia was gotten via agent, the one for Texas i got by myself

Do you advice i go with the original plan which is Virginia / Henrico hosp or should i go to Texas. will i have issues at POE if i change locations?

Mamas that have used henrico please advice if the bill is truly affordable with no hidden charges??

Travel date is fast approaching (end feb) and i need to book a ticket.

Thank you!!

Many thanks for your response. I am very grateful.

To double check, I do not need to add any other documents right?

Also, if I select priority visa service, do I have to pay for each applicant or a single payment will cover all of us
You don't need to add those two lines i highlighted about communication with your wife.

I think priority service is paid per application, i don't think they consider a group application as one.

Hi @justwise,

It is good to find you on a similar thread again. You were helpful to my student visa application about 6 years ago. I pray you find favour and God's mercy in all of your endeavours.

This time, I am applying with my wife and daughter for tier 4 visa and I am planning to submit the following documents:

Main applicant
- Scholarship letter
- ATAS Certificate
- TB test certificate
- and other documents listed on my CAS

Dependants
(i) My Bank statement (showing the required funds (for 2 dependents) held in my account for min. 28 days. My sponsor letter does not cover them)
(ii) Pictures - pre-marriage, marriage, post-marriage and family pictures. Most of these pictures are just random pictures taken with a phone then printed on A4 paper
(iii) TB test certificate (both wife and daughter)
(iv) Marriage certificate
(v) Newspaper publication
(vi) Birth certificate (for both wife and daughter)
(vii) Copy of my CAS
(viii) Copy of my passport
(ix) Printed email conversations (2012 till date)
(x) Printed text conversations (about 85 pages from 2011 till date, includes conversations pre-marriage and after marriage)

Kindly assist to check the list of the documents and advise if I have missed any important document.

Since we are applying together, is there any need to write a letter of consent for our dependant child and/or a letter stating that we are all going to be living together.

I look forward to your response. Many thanks and God bless.
You don't need those in bold and you don't need to write letter of consent

Hello, my people. I am new in this forum . Please, I want to ask the following questions : can one be admitted into U. K school without standard exams and if yes, what are the standard exams for a person seeking phD in electrical engineering. Also list of good schools that offer some scholarship or waiver in electrical engineering. Thanks.
I'm saying this as polite as i can..please as a prospective PhD student you shouldn't be asking this elementary questions. You should have done extensive research about this before making up your mind about studying in the UK.

That makes no sense visa while, why would you pay yourself salary as a single business owner? How will you convince the ECO that you worth salary of 325K as a business owner? This is like interviewing yourself for a job and determining how much to pay yourself.

My initial question was..how much do you make in a month?

It’s an allowance

You seems to be criticizing this when you don't know where and how I spent it. Am talking from my own perspective.

Take naija as a case study, you can spend #1000 on a coca cola and 2,000 on food in places like Abuja while you will eat to satisfaction in restaurant at ibadan with just #300.

Some places in London, I even spent more in a day. It depends on the restaurant. For example, hotel restaurant cost much than outside one.

So the £100 here depends on where you eat and the type of food you eat couple with drinks.
Spending £100 on food once in a while is in order but doing that daily is abnormal only if you are a premier league footballer.

If you eat that much daily then you have problem with food.

One shouldn't put that in visa application as part of budget breakdown.

It's not a joke, that's why I said on average. It depends on you and how longer throat you are.
For me I spend like £20 - £25 at a sitting and do this three to four times daily. grin
