Zoey1 : Nothing is impossible. But I would rather say the last thing you want for an 18months course is stress. So you may want to have a very strong plan in place before going ahead. Odds and possibilities stems from the mind. Its impossible to save 14K in 9months working 20hrs a week and full time during summer |

LagosismyHome: Na... you cant say that.... it unfair to say it irresponsible . People situation differ .
My friend left her 4 months to go do masters in USA. The baby was with her mum who did a fabulous job. It paid off as the whole family is now settled in the USA . When i had my kids my mum who came for Omugwo did a better job self than me..... Mamatukwas: Don’t judge Bro. Sometimes choices aren’t so clear cut. Most mother’s won’t take that kind of decision lightly. I couldn't be nicer by saying that leaving a 2 month old baby to travel abroad is heartless and iresponsible. If your mother will look after your own baby better than you then you need to spend more time with your kid rather than chasing career and money |

6lam: Good evening everybody. Special salute to @justwise and @Zoey1 My question goes thus; I have been given an unconditional offer to study in Colchester for my masters program in economics. I have the money to pay for my tuition fee deposit of 1000 poinds in order to receive my CAS. From experience, what are the odds of working to pay my tuition once I get to the UK..I'm thinking of the possibilities of working a job to pay my tuition or at least part of it. Thanks How much is your school fees? |

Shawtykel: Happy Valentine to this wonderful family..
Please I have an issue that's bothering me and I'll need an advice whether to go ahead or not. My husband is in UK on a tier 4 visa, we have three kids. He wants me to come over asap to support him since I'll be working full time as his is limited.
The issue now is we don't have the finances to apply for me and my three kids together.. Can I apply alone and come back to pick my kids after we've been able to save up hopefully in three months? Are there implications to this of not taking my kids @ the moment? What possible best reasons do I have to give for not taking my kids along? (my mum lives us so they're used to her and mother in law is also ready to join her) Any case like mine ever? Just wondering
P.S my kids are 4years and 2years old twins @Justwise @fatima04 and everyone who can help Thank you all Mamatukwas: Does she need an excuse though? Is she not within her rights to choose to apply with her kids or go ahead? Just asking. |

Shawtykel: P.S Hubby tier 4 visa is for one year plus 4 extra months.
Yes I know leaving them behind is not a good idea but then the funds for four of us at the same time is not available and hubby is yet to get a job. Coming with them now will may not let me work as much as I want considering the fact that child care is very expensive over there.
In Nigeria, they're in safe hands, my mom is 45yrs old plus my sisters and Mother in law are ready to double the help. I really need to know the implications of applying alone without them? If it's a red flag? @Justwise, yes April is better for me to come in My only concern is their ages which makes it difficult to come up with any justifiable excus to leave them behind. |

Unfortunately for me my 2 months disposable is not even enough for flight ticket. I have approx 1.8m in my savings. This is the only issue i have. How do i go about it.. i need urgent answers. Thanks
Ps. I have mu friend is a uk citizen i have met all the other requirements
Duration of my trip 7days
Documents include. Employment letter, letter of intro from employer, bank statement, admission letter for post grad in unilag, invitation letter with the British passport. Tuition fee payment receipts, cover letter You can only give it a try because there is nothing much you can do, only if your friend is ready to help with ticket |

Shawtykel: He traveled this year January and before I put in the application, it would be late march as I'm yet to put the 28days maintenance funds in a single account Then I think you should wait a it, getting a job now is hard and the brexit is not helping at all. Things may start looking up job wise from April up and he will be able to work and save up for application. I don't think that leaving those young kids behind is a good idea. |

jennymee: Hellooooo... we all know that Canada is not like the US where you can clearly indicate purpose of travel and because there is actually no place in the application where you indicate birthing as reason for visit. I will eventually declare at POE because pregnancy can not be hidden. I am not complicating issues for anyone! If you are comfortable to indicate purpose of visit as birth, please go ahead other wise follow your heart. More reason I don't like to comment on public forum. Abeg it's a Friday let me enjoy the weekend in peace. Of course visa application forms has a space to indicate purpose of traveling either tourist, business or medical and a blank space for additional information. You chooses not to indicate it because you don't want to. |

The US birthing route is almost closed because of this type of misrepresentation and very soon Canada will slam the door on Nigerians as well. We Nigerians are our own worst enemies. |

wetdick: i have seen that you are a fool, when i created this post,my intention was to provoke real discussion instead of emotional nonsense, since you have taken it upon your self to start been abusive, let's go for it.
Pls tell me how many high profile men did metoo brought down? pls list the men who are in prison now. you need to put it in your thick skull that evidence is always needed in court before a judge or jury can take a decision.
and i hope you know about Asia Argento a leader of meetoo movement paid off a guy who she sexually assaulted https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/metoo-activist-asia-argento-settles-own-sexual-assault-complaint-1.3601808
what of the men who were falsely accused by women or what about the women that wanted to make money off something that didn't happen. what of women who choose to sleep with men for promotions or role in movie but now claiming saint and want to make money.
sometimes, you need to have sense before you start writing your nonsense, it seems you see everything in black and blue than looking at the big picture, you are very short-sighted. And, i guess in your naive head you think powerful women do not sexually assault men.
Metoo was a witch hunt against men, simple as abc.
And, on the issue of Yahoo yahoo boys you basically wrote that why should we arrest yahoo boys when politicians are stealing, so what does it mean? if that is not support for yahoo boys than i wonder what is it. Like i said before you lack the ability to read or comprehended, the lady in the article you quoted is not the founder of Metoo movement and the article never mentioned any where that she is. She is an actor and director and one of those who accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault. How on earth did misinterpret this post? justwise: The same way some morally bankrupted Nigerians will condemn EFCC for arresting yahoo yahoo boys rather than big political figures but these crooks steal their way to a political position. |

Are you taking care of your whole village?
I wonder the kind of job that gives you such an amount monthly despite staying illegally
Justwise is this possible?
800k even after bills? Yet still has some savings despite illegal status?
Londoner evilforest egunmogaji ifyalways Yes its possible if you are on student visa and work full time during the holiday or after graduation because student visa holders are exempted from tax payment(to certain amount ), council tax or TV licence |

wetdick: you are a hypocrite, i condemn both protests because they were witch hunting, the metoo movement was a big disaster and that is why it faded very fast, even the founder of the movement, raped a boy, so before you write your nonsense always do your research. it seems you are part of the people that molest women in the workplace, that is why you are afraid.
Morally bankrupted indeed, so we should not arrest yahoo-yahoo boys on the street that are defrauding people, it seems you are part of them
do you know why they are arresting those street lowlifes, because there is a law in the US which gives permit to the FBI in conjunction with local police to investigate and extradict anybody in the world who does fraud to US businesses or individuals
you, mr do not know anything, you think morality is the world, the law is different from your moral stance. You are not only pervervious you also lack comprehensive ability, metoo movement has broughtdown many high profile individuals and the founder Tarana Burke never raped a boy. My comment was not in any way in support of yahoo yahoo boys though your inability to comprehend that did not surprise me |

fahila: Hello Justwise,
Please I need your advice. I got an email with an attachment of my refusal letter from the UK although I’m yet to pickup my passport which is ready for collection (that the new method I guess).
On the refusal slip the ECO stated that I submitted a statement with the balance of 442,000 and did not explain the source which is definitely not true because I followed the advice on this thread and submitted a cover letter which explained in details that the said money in my savings are transferred directly from my salary account into my savings account monthly and my bank statement proves this. This is not the only error that was made there was a part where the eco said I said my mother will be providing £2000 which was a lie as the whole cost of my trip was £1,191 and he himself stated this at the beginning of the letter so how can I say someone will be providing £2000, infact in the same letter he stated the correct amount I said someone will be paying towards my trip (£700)
These errors look like carelessness on the Eco’s part so please can I do something about this (report the error) or should I just let it go and not waste anymore money or time. Please I really need your reply. I do understand your point regarding those mistakes but I don't think that there is anything you can do about it because it will not change the outcome of the application. If you have 442 in your account and someone is paying £700 toward your trip then that has reduced the strength of your tie to Nigeria. |

casperuk: I don't believe getting a visa to the United States, Europe, or Asia would be a problem. The UK Home Office only share their visa database with the Irish embassy. The shenanigan visa system is different. Names are only flagged up when there is a criminal record on the europol database which they share to track terrorists and criminals not visa over-stayers. Well nevertheless, I fell out of status not longer than one month a ago, I have been legal all these time. My wife is currently doing her Masters in Law in Nigeria. Getting a Non immigrant visa maybe a huddle for the uk and Ireland, but not for other countries. Voluntary return is not deportation or administrative removal. There are also other countries that have a point based immigration system, I believe I will also be able to qualify if I meet their point. Such systems are fairer than other immigration systems that grant too much power to the discretion of the ECO, where If they don't like your face they can say no.
I will be ban for 2 - 5 years for a UK visa, but that's it. I can return for a PHD if I so opt after the ban on a student visa as it is a based point system. If you meet the point they will be issued the visa. Actually that is not true the UK shares data with US, Canada, Australia and schengen countries. You did not do your research well because overstaying your visa for 30days is not a crime. From the day your visa expires you have 30days to either reapply or leave the UK. |

brideofchukky: I misunderstood the circumstances justwise. I see there's a difference between money movement and source. My main reason is in bold below, another reason is because after noticing a rise in the exchange rate on oanda.com in recent weeks and most likely get worse during the elections, we decided to add more funds so we don't fall short, just to be safe. your input will be appreciated @justwise
"can I say I don't keep money in the other personal account that I did the transfer from because I do not have ATM card for it and so when I get money, I just send to the one I presented so I can have access to it? Can I say the one my partner sent (300k) was for our upkeep? Since he was not been around? Please @justwise and thank you for your previous response" Cc nomad26 No matter the type of visa you are applying for..moving money into the account close to your application date is always a problem because it will appear as if you are 'building' that account just for visa application and when the visa is out you return the money to owners. Explanations you gave above are perfectly ok |

I had done my search throughout the gov.uk site too about maintenance for dependant visa and didn't see any part where it says I have to explain the source of money movement in my account. And I have kept the minimum balance to cover for us both for 90 days. I guess that should do. Thank you both.
