zinfly: Dear justwise, I and my sisters live in the uk and we are looking to fully sponsor a cousin to come and do a masters with the hope that she could stay back obviously. My younger sistsr has the financial capacity to put in the applicaton so to avoid stories that touch she will be the sole sponsor. We have never done sonething like this before. Here is our dilemma, the course starts in three days. We applied on friday and got the admission today. My sister just paid the full fees. How can we prepare this lady for the interview. The course is not in line with her first degree and cos we have limited time to work with i need to know the best way to go about this. This is not going to work, please prepare for Sep admission. |

Rotimi89: your sister should stand in for her as her legal gaidian. Do all the needful and use your sister statement of account , hope she has the required amount in either currencies seated for 28days consecutively? That means she might have to diclose she has her gaidian in the uk and i hope your sister is a legal resident? If yes! Get a lawyer asap and do the documentation needed to show she's her legal gaidian. This is misleading |

The good thing is even if one does not want to follow the official and legal UK visa and immigration policy, one can always go through the alternative routes available.
Which is? |

@Victory1989
That refusal gave you answers to questions you did not answer in details, so you need to research on job prospect on your course and companies in Nigeria that may employ you.
The last part talked about the work experience you mentioned but did not provide evidence that you worked in oil and gas company after graduation. So provide evidence to support your claim. |

@justwise and other mods, please help Tier 2 visa to travel to the UK to write exam? Tier 2 visa is a work visa and not something you apply just to go an write an exam |

Is it the STATEMENT OF COMPARABILITY and ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY that is needed to get from UK NARIC or VISA AND NATIONALLY STATEMENT? Please a brother needs our help. Thanks Those two will be given to you separately all addressed to UKBA |

adegoks1234: I don't think you get his point. The plab exam is in 2 parts. The part 1 is written twice a year in Nigeria in three different centres in the country. The part 2 is only written in the UK.
If you tell the ECO you are going to write plab 1 in the UK, then the question becomes why can't you write it in your country when you have three different centres? It's not impossible to get visa for plab 1 but based on the experience of a lot of people that I know, it's a daunting task.
For the part 2, it's quite easy. The exam is only written in the UK. The ECO knows this.
What most people do is to apply for a visiting visa and then write the exam then. It's certainly not a crime to write an exam when you are on a visiting visa. It's never a violation of the terms of your visa. It’s a crime because the cost of that exam was not included in the application and you did mention it. |

smilz: You don't understand. People have succeeded....Yes! But that's for plab 2 not by saying you're going for plab 1 cos we have centres here. Its not a hidden fact! Every doctor knows this...The chances are slim.
@justwise You need confirm if that thread was for plab 1 or 2
Plab2 is only written in the UK thus, you must travel.
She can send a message and I'll add her to the WhatsApp group for doctors in Nigeria taking plab so she can ask her questions there. There are over 1000 doctors that are in the process/done and working in the UK, so I'm sure they'll advice her. I still maintain my previous comment. There are many universities in Nigeria still people pay millions to study in the U.K. despite the fact that it’s far cheaper to study the same course in Nigeria. People have different reasons why they prefer writing the exam in the U.K. than in Nigeria, so you need to convince the ECO why you preferred writing it in the U.K. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(mod): 7:02am On Jan 14, 2019 |
smilz: 1. She should apply for a visitors visa not mentioning plab exam cos it is believed that we have 3 centres in Nigeria so why travel to the UK to write it. But she can sit for her exam in the UK after she's been granted the visa...no issue with that. OR in her cover letter she can state that the exam is written twice a year outside the UK (March and November) and that would mean her waiting for months...though I must tell u they frown at the idea of u traveling to the UK for plab 1.
2. Her wanting to take plab 1 means she's a qualified doctor. Notwithstanding, Yes u can fully sponsor her trip. But would be nice if she can also present her bank statement too.
Hope this helps 1. You are not helping him by encouraging him to lie. 2. No they don't frown at people traveling to the UK for the exam because many in the thread have succeeded in doing that. |

LagosismyHome: That very harsh of them . Why couldn't they just refused instead of ban .
I am not familar with the Canadian process but is there no way to appeal or at least let them know it was an honest mistake . Not harsh, they are actually lenient because country like the UK will hand you 10yrs for the same offence. Schengen countries will ban you from ALL schengen countries for the same offence of lying when asked if you have been refused visa before. I don't see this as a mistake because it's far too common now |

Olalekank: Hi everyone. Great job so far
I understand that we've been compiling transcripts. I'm not sure if Part 13 has been compiled but I was wondering if some people can join in compiling 13 (if not compiled) and 14.
However, in this case, we won't just compile everything together but break it into sections so that anyone who wants to read transcript for a course peculiar to him can navigate directly to it rather than having to scan though multiple transcripts.
There could be sections for chemical engineering rated courses, CS related, Mathematics related, etc. What are your thoughts about this @justwise
If Justwise grants us permission to continue, kindly indicate interest if you wanna assist in this little bit of compilation. Thank you. Feel free to do that if you can |

OGBORRR: Good Evening House, Thanks a lot for your very critical information on the spouse visa application platform. I have a couple of questions i would love for an expert to respond to; I am trying to apply for a spouse visa as my wife s a full time student in the UK, and i am in Nigeria at the moment. I have a savings of close to 65,000.00 in my Nigeria accounts (NAIRA AND DOLLAR ACCOUNT) for a period of more than 6 months. my question is, does my wife need to be my sponsor That amount is no where close to what you need for spouse visa application, yes your wife need to be the sponsor or both of you. Let her get a job that pays at least £18,600 a year first to start with. |

Naiobi: Hi all,
Can anyone help with this please?- is it necessary to include a letter from the landlord along with the tenancy agreement for a tier 2 dependent visa application?
Because I would think that the tenancy agreement would be sufficient. But if not, can anyone give pointers as to what the content of this landlord letter is.
Thank you in advance. If you can get one do that, it can only help your application. It will basically state that the accommodation is suitable for the number of occupant for the accommodation and that it will not lead to over crowding |

Domistic: what is the cost to you personally of your trip in GBP?
What do we fill here. Please note that my wife and I work but we are using our private coy which has over 30m as sponsor. Both of us are the shareholders. We are budgeting 5300 GBP for the entire family of 6. We already have a board approval letter and board resolution .
Pls help You are likely to have an issue using coy's account because this is a private trip and not for your company. You and your wife should use your individual personal account for your family holiday. To be able to answer that question you should first of all get the cost of the trip for all 6 of you individually then use that to answer the cost question in each form. You also need to give a brief explanation in your own application that its a family trip |

Will I write cover letter for the kids also or should I use my own and attach to theirs. What of my wife. Secondly in giving breakdown of expenses, how do I handle the kids application. Should I give breakdown or leave it vacant One cover letter for everything traveling with you and the same with the breakdown, the same breakdown for everybody apart from the cost of flight which will be lower for the kids |

salsera: Is your dad a US citizen or Legal Perm Resident? That would determine how long it would take. Yes probably 1-2years. This referrs to time it would take for you to be interviewed at the embassy
But what your Dad said is that the approval of the petition would take 3months which is possible. Approval of petition is just the first step.
But the real issue is how old you are now when he applies. If you are already close to 21 then please research 'aging out'. This is because this could determine whether you wait 1-2years or 7yesrs.
Nairaland is not the most detailed place for immigrant questions though. I'm sorry but since when? |
