My aunt staying in the UK called me about two years back and said she has given my number to a travel agent to help me prepare documents for a visa application. He called me later and asked some questions about where I work and if I'm married. I did told him I'm single and self-employed running a very small business.
He told me to liaise with a company probably a Microfinance Bank, to speak to the manager about slotting me into a post with a reasonable salary on paper. The company will as well prepare a statement of account for me, which the embassy can actually verify if mail was sent to the company. All these were done.
In preparation for the Documents needed for the visa application, he got a marriage certificate, birth certificate of my imaginary child, CAC Business certificate ( I have this one), My passport was stamped for a country in the middle east ( to get my passport deflowered) A Landed property; all these to ascertain I have ties with my home country. Unfortunately, I was denied( I will attach the refusal letter) the visiting visa on the reason that they are not really certain of my true intention and not sure I will leave after my vacation there.
Now to present Day, I applied to some institutions, in which I have secured an unconditional offer in one of the schools, I have paid my initial deposit of tuition fee while I'm waiting for POf to mature before using it for the visa application. Honestly I'm confused as to how to go about filling it when the time comes on Maritals and the answer to if I have dependants. Won't this prompt more documents to show I'm married and also have a child.
I have access to using this company(Microfinance Bank) as a study gap evidence but I'm not sure if my CAC could do some works too as I don't have all these tax receipts of a thing, though i do pay my annual return and it's active on CAC website. Luckily for you those forgeries were not spotted or mentioned by the ECO, student visa is point based system, so you focus on meeting the requirements , married or not married is not part of the requirement. Whatsapp date hunt group usually have time allocated to all members to check their CGI portal and update the group from morning till night. Anyone hoping to get a date by checking if someone post on Nairaland will be hours late. I understand your own point as unnecessary whatsapp group distracts the thread from it's focus but for date hunt sadly it cannot be viably done here. Maybe a Nairaland date hunt group can be created and moderated.
You can 100%, the same way people post available date in whatsapp group is the same way anyone can drop it here, its the same first come, first serve system, the date is open to anyone in-need of it, so whatsapp group will not reserve a date for you, it will be gone if you are not quick enough to click.

There is something called cost/benefit analysis. Someone that spent less than 4 million to travel to Vietnam and still earn a lifetime professional certificate with it, is better than someone who spent 18 million to go to Europe or Canada.
Here is the breakdown; Vietnam; 1. You recover your total expenses in two months of working. 2. You work professionally. 3. You live the life of a middle class, above the income of the majority of citizens. 4. You have the opportunity of doing side hustles in exportation.
Europe/Canada; 1. It takes you many months if not years to recover your expenses. 2. You’re likely to end up with shitty jobs such as cleaners, care givers or security guards etc. 3. You have to juggle between jobs with extreme stress so you can pay for high cost of living. 4. You will be among the lowest income earners & live very basic lifestyles.
Lastly, school principals are not among the lowest of the low in Nigeria, they’re supposed to be middle class. Why should I compare with bank managers that have worked for many years and spent huge sums of money along the line? Against someone that spent 4 million and was only starting a new career? Nevertheless, a teacher in Vietnam can also compare with them eventually if they’re focused in maximizing their side hustles by continually scaling up.

So what's the point of having the email contact functionality on this platform anyway? Communications would have still happened via email without anyone's notice as anyone can email anyone here. We all can agree that the goal is "Date Search" and WhatsApp provides quick notifications for when dates are available for applicants to go book their appointments on a timely note. Many people here including myself have benefited from that group when it comes to interview dates and snap updates by others.
No doubt this platform serves its purpose but so does a WhatsApp group for specifically "Date Search". We cannot do "date-searching" here, it'll be almost defeating the purpose. We're talking about timeliness! And appointment slots get filled up fast!!

Your opinion is that WhatsApp group is selfish but I vehemently disagree with you. Far more people share quicker dates on there than on here. How many times has anyone posted about availability of dates on here since the last 4 weeks? Yet, people are booking appointments because selfless applicants like themselves are helping each other.

That area of Leeds is always a flashpoint, i used to work in business centre as a student close to where the riot happened, fighting and killing is common in that area, in that business centre we have CCTV camera positioned around the building and car park and police was always coming to view camera to collect evidence, sometimes they will take up a room with a good view so as to collect intel.
Definitely not a good area to live or do business, run down houses, drug dealing very rampant, police siren almost every day etc
