Just saying, the catch is settled in the UK. If your family does not have a British passport or an ILR then the answer is NO.
If he answers NO what then is he going to do in the UK?

Dear All,

Please, I need your advice to tick either yes or no as I am filling the application online. I want to visit my family friend in the UK.

Is the main purpose of your trip to visit/stay with a close family relative who is settled in the UK?
The answer can never be NO since this is visiting visa application.

I went with my personal account not the company's account. I included places I want to see. the 1.5m my flight ticket was added to it. Thank you for your contribution. I will reapply next year.
You needed to present both personal and business account, one showing business dealing activities and the other your profit from your business

1.5m
You should be thanking them for refusing a visa.

You earn 300-400K gross profit a month and you want to spend 1.5M in just 9days to see a country as a married woman?

Your business is your strongest tie to Nigeria and by digging so deep into your business capital you have weakened your tie to Nigeria

That does not make any financial sense, you don't spend your business capital on non-business foreign trip, you spend your profit from that business on such trip and attach a breakdown of your expenditure and places you wish to visit while in that country.

Hello to everyone in the house. Kudos to the gurus in the house, you guys are doing a great job.
I have some questions that I need urgent answers for.
1. My sponsors are my brothers and they reside permanently in UK. Do I need to tell them to send the money to me to deposit in my account? Or can I use their own bank statement and a letter from them indictating they are my sponsors. Though I have a reasonable amount that can take care of my living expenses in my own account.

Thanks
Ask your brothers to pay the money into your account because you can't use their account.

Hi.
Is it okay to open a new account and deposit the money for the maintenance funds in it and start the 28 days count or does it have to be an account that has been running for longer?
Yes you can do that

Hi Justwise, thanks for your help in the past, Please would it be advisable to apply for a tier 4 visa from any ECOWAS country as a Nigerian (I work off shore). I am going for my masters (sept intake) (just completed my BA last year and left the UK). Your prompt response would be much appreciated. Thanks
If you have permanent status in that country yes you can else apply from Nigeria

While I'm not disputing what you said, I didn't ask him to top up every time. I only said that an extra equivalent of £1,000 in Naira should be put into the account before the 28 day count starts to avoid the balance dipping because of the difference in the exchange rate on the date of application. Either that or he pays more of his fees to the school without touching what is in the account if the 28 day count has started and his account balance might be negatively. I have highlighted and attached the part of the T4 migrant guide that deals with that. My school also emphasized the same thing with the exception of when the account is a £ account. I know of someone that it affected. It's better safe than sorry.
We all don't have the same experiences and I don't claim to know it all but at the end of the day, he could do use the date he started the 28 day count which is before the date of application if he has started counting, miracles do happen and favour does speak when all else fails. It also boils down to the use of the ECO's discretion.
That is unnecessary.

I don't understand what is going on, God in control
This is affecting student visa applicants too, so i don't think it got much to do with court issue

That's not quite right. It's the Oanda rate for the day you submit your application after the 28day rule has been satisfied that will be used. So if you deposited the money by on July 1st and your 28 day is complete by July 29, if you submit your application+Pay your IHS and visa fees on July 30, it's the rate that applies on July 30 that will be used for your application, not the date of deposit. So just put a little extra of about maybe £1,000 so that any fluctuations will not affect what you should have in your account for the 28 days
Practically Nchabuomo is right, you can't be held responsible for the fluctuation because its impossible to keep up with that.

Each time you topup because of exchange rate fluctuation it means restarting the 28days counting again.

I have never seen anybody that refused because of that.

I think its how zendmann worded it ....let me reword it ..lol grin

Next time when ask "who Is sponsoring you?" just tell them you got funding from the school... some don't check the i20 to see if you got funding from the school or not except you tell them

In your case it appears the Vo did not notice you had funding as some do not check the i20 . So you
need to say it loudly and proudly when asked who is sponsoring you

There you go justwise

He received the email on the 7th of July, am also reading lot of application are on hold some since November 2016. I don't understand what is going on with ho,If I did not meet the financial requirement why will I apply and waste money the application cost us over £3000 plus getting lawyer to check and make sure everything was alright to apply. I leave everything in God hand
Ok that probably means that a new court challenge was launched against the HomeOffice regarding the financial requirement.

Hello Teejay.... Your view is valid however we also need to confirm if she has children cause the ruling also affects children based on teh increasing gross income required per number of children...so if she does, that will be a MAJOR reason..... She confirmed that she meets the minimum gross of 18,600...besides i think it will be fool-hardy for anyone to submit without meeting the minimum gross.....

Also, technical foul.... family visa is not the same as a standard tourist visa oooo ...the requirements differ. That said, I agree with your thoughts that the ECO COULD preclude that her hubby deceived them into availing a visa with another intent in mind.... At this point, it is the superior argument of the lawyer that may be the winning strategy....even as much as we understand that once u read up this thread, u will not need a lawyer, this "strategic" move by abbij ehhhnn....na lawyer fit argue am... heheheheheeee...

Best of luck my peeps waiting....I know it can be VERY tiring and HBP-prone but all we can do is pray.....and keep faith..... It will all be well....

Just my additions for further clarity to OUR "family"....
They are the same, when you applied for standard visiting visa it covers the following type of visas:

Family Visitor visa
General Visitor visa
Child Visitor visa
Business Visitor visa, including visas for academics, doctors and dentists
Sports Visitor visa
Entertainer Visitor visa
Prospective Entrepreneur visa
Private Medical Treatment Visitor visa
Approved Destination Status (ADS) visa

In need of urgent advice my husband has received email saying our application is on hold. He received the following email. What do I do next documents submitted shows I meet the financial requirement.

Following a Supreme Court judgment on Wednesday 22 February 2017, the Home Office has paused decision-making on some applications under Appendix FM to the Immigration Rules. The applications affected are those failing to meet the minimum income requirement for a spouse/partner visa and Appendix FM applications falling for refusal which involve a child.

The reason for this pause is to enable the Home Office to consider the implications of the judgment. All other applications will continue to be decided as normal.

As a result UKVI is currently unable to process your application and your documents are being returned whilst this pause is in place. If you submitted a passport with your application, this will be returned to you under separate cover through the Visa Application Centre where you applied.

As soon as we are able to conclude your application we will contact you on the email address you provided within your application.
When did your husband receive this email? I'm asking because that court case was decided months ago in Govt favour.
