Legacy666: Goodmorning all, I'm new here and want some clarification on sponsored uk tourist visa @ justwise, advisory, ekpotek, etc. I currently work with bank as contract staff for more than two years now, and my salary is 60k aside commission monthly. My brother in-law wants to sponsor my trip to uk as a gift for my annual leave around October. This are my questions;
1. Can an adult be sponsored?
2. Aside his bank statement and sponsorship letter, what other documents will I need from him.
3. Should he use his oil and gas company bank statement or his personal account?
4.I have less than 300k in my account for now cos I didn't plan for it, hope it won't be an issue?
Thanks. Your chances of getting a visa is low. An adult can't sponsor you for visiting visa because it simply means that you don't have a strong tie to Nigeria, your job/salary is one of your main tie to Nigeria, as its you can't afford the trip based on what you earn currently. |

Advisory: I am not spinning nothing mate, I am only making a statement of fact as people like to blow things out of proportion. Like I said I have families who have applied for visiting visas 2009 - date and no one I mean NO ONE had presented 6 months bank statement. like I said max had been 3 months and like I said English Language From 6 months and for 6 months are 2 different things plain English. .. from the last 6months..read that gain if you want It simply means 6months and not 3 or 4. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(mod): 10:13am On Jul 24, 2017 |
Advisory: Did you see the English used there? FROM and not FOR From means statement as to be evidence of transaction from within the last 6. Not for the last 6 Months Like I said I have not seen anyone I know personally apply with a whole 6 months statement. 3 months at best. Now compare that to the Tier 2 Visa requirement Appropriate salary
You’ll usually need to be paid at least £30,000 per year or the ‘appropriate rate’ for the job you’re offered - whichever is higher. Check the appropriate rate for the job you’ve been offered.
Check the guidance for situations when you can be paid less - for example if: •you’ll work as a medical radiographer, nurse, paramedic or secondary school teacher in some subjects •you’ll work as a pre-registration nurse or midwife
Personal savings
You must have £945 in your bank account for 90 days before you apply. This is to prove you can support yourself.
You don’t need to prove this if you have a fully approved (‘A-rated’) sponsor who can give you at least £945 to cover your costs for a month if you need it. Your sponsor must confirm this on the certificate of sponsorship. This is not about another type of visa application, this is specifically visiting visa and that statement is as simple as it can be. You are just trying to spin it out |

abujaniv: This is not true. Medical tourism (including birth tourism) is legal in the US, and we issue visas all the time to people who come out and tell us that the only purpose for which they are applying for a visa is to have their baby in the US. Take a look at the thread about that here to see more details. olarich30: i can place my bet on what i said , i know over 6 people who have been denied US visa because they said they were expecting a child or they said they plan on having a child soon . most people who go to the US to have child don't make it known to the VO , the only time they grant a visa to a pregnant woman is if she can prove with a good medical report that there are some kind of complications surrounding her pregnancy and she needs the best hands to help her with delivery which of course she can't get in nigeria and such cases are rear .
i also know some couples who were asked during their interview if they planned on having a child during their visa validity and they said no and their visas were approved .
i repeat again , don't ever go to the embassy and say you plan on having a child soon especially when you are applying a student visa . it's a red flag and a no no for the american embassy . Dude you are wrong, re-read VO's post again before placing a bet on your opinion. This thread here https://www.nairaland.com/3436650/give-birth-usa-cost-procedures is in part 5 now and growing, read and tell me how many pregnant women without complication who were given a visa. Your chances of getting a visa is higher if you bothered to be honest and tell the VO exactly why you applying for that visa. |

Jawa: hi justwise, in my knowledge and personal experience, the most a VO can do is to request the applicant provides a more recent bank statement him/herself, in a given time frame which is mostly a week for CIC, to support his case and clear the VO's doubts which the VO will then verify again. a VO will most likely not deny an applicant's application because the individual's financial institution verified his bank documents are legit but refused to disclose his/her most recent balance. he has no right to request for that information from the bank and the bank surely has no right to disclose it either. he has immigration laws he judges his applications by. i am certain of this. the risk here is that if he takes out his money, which is not a good idea, and the VO requests a recent bank statement, then he's in trouble. but this is life and something genuine can come up which he needs some of his money for. he cant leave all his money in a bank for a sticker and hope life problems solve themselves. a VO knows that too. i already mentioned it was not a good plan. I think the language here is the issue, the embassy is not requesting for any additional info they are basically verifying what the applicant has given them already. When an applicant submits supporting documents to the embassy and sign the disclaimer to say that the info you submitted is genuine and represent your true situation then you have given the embassy the right to verify those documents. A bank statement being genuine does not means that balance is also genuine because a lot might have happened while the application is on process. The embassy is only cross checking the info on the bank statement they have and what the bank has, so the issue of requesting for additional info does not come into picture here. If a serious financial issue comes up while your application is on process and you withdrew the money then you don't qualify for a visa based on financial ground because basically you don't have the money for that trip. |

Jawa: Hi leleky, your cousins dilemma is not a new one. Once an account is submitted with an application, you can do whatever you want with it. You cousin should however be concerned about the money in his account and its timing. If lump sums have been deposited recent months prior to the application, its money lodgement and a VO can refuse the application on funding grounds if adequate explanation of the source of the funds isn't given because it then doesn't truly represent the financial circumstances of the applicant. If he puts in the money april and applied may, it's not a good plan. How the account thing works is simple; If you submit, a VO verifies by sending the document submitted by you to your bank's internal control for verification. They are verifying the document you submitted which was presented by the VO if its legit but they cant know the current balance of your account. You have a confidentiality agreement with your bank not to disclose that and the VO wouldn't even do that. So your cousin have nothing to worry about touching his money. My opinion always. Best of luck You can't really be sure about this because the case of people withdrawing the money after submitting their application is not new, so the embassy can confirm the balance if they wish to do that. Your bank can refuse to do that and the embassy can also refuse you a visa if they are unable to verify that bank statement. |

amidafrica: *Access your eligibility to travel to Canada: Before you think of applying for visa, you have to ensure you are eligible to travel. Technology has made it easier for us; there are online apps that can ask you questions to determine your eligibility status even without going to the embassy to be interviewed.
*Your reason for travelling: For your visa to be granted, you need to have a valid and acceptable reason for travelling.
*Ensure all your documents are ready and complete. Note that criminal and security checks are done before you are allowed to enter Canada. If you have had criminal cases in the time past, then you might not be granted visa. The same thing goes with your family that might be travelling with you if need be.
*Another necessary thing to be done is the medical examination. Normally, instructions on how to go about this will be given to you after you must have sent your application. It is important to note that both you and your dependent has to pass this examination if not you stand the chance of your visa being denied.
*After all these must be done rightly, you can now be sure of getting your Canadian Visa without stress and delays.
Enjoy your trip!!! There are 4 threads here in different types of Canadian visas look for one that suits you and post this. |

Thanks anticipating for your reply. N:B if u see some red flag in what av said pls kindly notify thanks. Anticipating for ur reply 1. If you have being working for more than 6months then its questionable why you want to present less than 6months bank statement. 2. Yes your brother can sponsor you but you still have to proof that you can sponsor yourself without your brother's money because that gives you a stronger tie to Nigeria. 3&4 read this thread. |
