chiefconerstone: I will advice you to ask anyone from Nigeria who left Nigeria with BSc Nursing for USA or great Britain and made it instantly . Your expectations are marveling for a young graduate. I am surprised that you don't have any passion except for mundane things like range rover and sport cars. is that all you are about? Those things that get outdated with time and usage? After that then what ? have you not seen illiterate mechanic driving such things in Nigeria? May God deliver you from mundane things. Go to the west or Europe and see how Nigerian are paying taxes forever and are been treated like second class citizens. I will rather be a king in my own country even if I am drinking gari everyday. My brother nurses a driving something better than Jeeps in this country. There is no faster way around these things . Either way you will have to work for it and of course cars are liabilities not asset. They pay tax into the system that works and provide for their people, so how is life in tax-free Nigeria? |

shaybebaby: Discount go Dey, lol. That's where insurance comes in I guess, being abta bonded does give extra reassurance. Thing is not doing the bookings for peeps but having marketing destinations based on contacts in those places. Still mulling it over though, thinking of specialising in south of Italy. Tailor made holidays. Thing is Thomson sold other people's holidays, hotels etc and got commission from those sales. Okay, I am not talking or thinking straight at the moment, been studying all day. I will try again tomorrow Yes but your insurance premium will sky rocket after your first pay-out To be honest i don't think a lot of people visit south of Italy, people tend to go to Spain and Thailand mainly. So its a good thing that you are looking at areas people don't normally travel to, maybe with contacts there you are in for a good deal |

shaybebaby: Lots of city breaks see. I think that what I think we mostly do, go cities but what about the other types of experiences you can have on a holiday, safaris, Lake holidays, camping, glamping etc So if I started such a business, I have one potential customer in you? I have worked in travel before (Thomson) lol.. i'm not sure if smaller businesses will make it here in the UK in that sort of business, immigration agencies. solicitors/lawyers etc will make it. Thomson is a big company and can afford to do package sales, discounts, pay compensation when things go wrong( You remember the case of two little kids who died on holiday packaged by Thomson?) They paid thousands to the parents not including the court cost. Internet has also made it a lot easier for people to plan their holidays, book hotel and ticket without any agent. Yea if you start one i will patronize you for sure.. with discounts oo |

What places you been? Oh ok! No it's not gibberish you have a point, there is money in tourist industry but more in 3rd world countries than here. I have been to South Africa, Zimbabwe, France, Hong Kong and Holland. Hopefully I will travel a lot more soon |

friendly101: Thanks boss
u are a genius..........God bless u so much I used the oando converter this is what I got. since question WHAT IS THE COST TO YOU PERSONALLY OF YOUR TRIP? - 294,198.11 NGN = 1,002.33GBP THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU HAVE FOR THIS TRIP - 322,866 =1100GBP (is it advisable?)
balance in the account as @now is 650k
would u advice I submit 1 pay slip with 3months statement of account....?
You submit at least 6months payslip and the same amount of time for bank statement. I don't think your budget is realistic You budgeted 41.914K plus for accommodation that is just about £150, in many cities in the UK that is just about 1 or 2 nights cost of hotel accommodation. The problem here is this..the UK embassy uses unrealistic exchange rate to convert but when you want to buy your £s you will use black market rate which will more or less clear you up. |

lewiskay: its her bank detail and monthly payslip, salary is 84k. since the bank statement that has the salary lodggement is not her saving and fund there is mini i decided to submiited her zenith bank account with around 550k. but the ECO stated the paylips didnt reflex in the zenith bank and doubted her employement. That is a mistake, you should have submitted her salary account and savings but all source of incomes have to be explained and backed up with paper evidence. |

It might be overpopulated in terms of available housing (a much debated issue in politics right now because of the high costs caused by housing shortage). The issue isn't availability of space, it is lack of housing to accommodate the influx of people. That is just the point... i may add..lack of affordale housing |

Ok, I work and sch (MSC) here in Nigeria but my gf stays in the UK with her fam, we're planning for me to come and spend 2weeks (of course she'd take care of accommodation, feeding, shopping n the likes)
Now my questions are: What is expected of me to do here to make this happen? What likely questions will be asked at d embassy? Tho I think I'll still have more questions to ask...
I'm trusting on u guys to provide me with adequate answers. Thanks. 1. Get your documents (been listed here far too many times) and apply for visa 2. The embassy hardly call for an interview for visiting visa |

friendly101: @justwise I followed frontpagelawyer advice............. please check the bold part......... I understand that but when you are budging for a trip to the UK or other countries you use their currency, that helps you to get it as accurate as possible. The embassy uses that website to convert naira to £ because you are going to spend in pound and that is the only way to calculate the actual cost to you. The a and b question... they asked you those two questions because they know that their answers are different, if they are the same then there is no point asking you the same question x2. If the cost of this trip is £1000 then you are not leaving Nigeria with £1000 because that is suicidal. The question asked you..how much will this trip cost you and how much do you have with you? |
