yemcol: @ frontpagelawyer, justwise and all, pls on d application form where questions was asked "if u have family and relatives,..i said Yes but I don't have their addresses and they do call once in a while with call card. So I only click yes and typed in their names and status, without putting their addresses or call number and I won't be staying with any of them either.(we are not that close) My issue now is that d third reason for refusing my previous application was becos I did not provide any documentary evidence of the relative. I won't be staying with.(I tire ooo) Please house how do I correct or put my statement to the ECO about this point in my new application becos I can't be providing what I don't have and I already had an hotel reserved for myself with no intention of visiting any fam. You have to explain clearly that you will not be visiting them and that you don't have their physical address. |

realonetommy: Yeah, there are no jobs here in Georgia but there are lots of opportunities, for example, you can import a car here from Japan online (which are always cheaper like $300-$800) and give it to some natives here to use as taxi, you get 600 Gel monthly, which is almost 60k in Nigerian currency, the native drives and pay you for 18months before the vehicle becomes his, so do the maths, Secondly, Georgia just joined the EU so you can use your resident card to travel to any European Country either to work or for leisure , so they're really cool now... And about deporting Students, they turned most students back due to lack of some original documents, some agents in Nigeria do forged some stuffs and that's where the problem lies, Students get here without the appropriate documents, so they're being deported... they're lots and lots of Nigerians studying and doing various businesses, this place is really cool if you wanna invest and study, you just sit back and watch your money roll in That is misleading, Georgia is not an EU member state. |

Omodaraju: Even Houston, Texas hasn't been scratched because sisters and bros are not willing to research. I only hear a few stretched doctors for Oakbend and WHMC.
E-Friends,
1. If you have access to Nairaland then luckily, you have access to Google. Quietly visit the websites of WHMC, Oakbend, HNMC etc that people have told us their Hospital fees are pretty straightforward and pocket friendly.
2. Go to the Hospital Website, Select or Search for OBGYNs that are affiliated to that hospital 3. Get the phone numbers of their practice. Honestly, you won't spend 3000 naira on phone cards before you have one, two, three doctors that are ready to send you correspondence via mail, appointment via mail and detailed breakdown of the Obgyn fees and other birth related fees.
In my case, Appointment 1 - over the phone, then told the lady i spoke with to send an appointment confirmation through email. They were also willing to confirm all the estimates in the mail
Appointment 2 - I was told to log in to their patient portal and register. I did and the confirmation was sent to my mail.
Both were presented at POE to show the billing estimates I heard. In actual fact both Drs haven't been mentioned on this thread and the prices are within the popular range we see on this thread.
Caveat - please don't bother to send PMs as i am not good at replying them because of my busy schedule.
However if Justwise will permit, I will share a few docs names (use google to get their numbers) that i got their contacts during my search. Remember the time difference when you start to call their offices, tell them you're self pay, ask them if they can correspond with you via e-mail.
HNMC - Alaniz, Hulme, Duong, Fulton, Xydas, Ross, Campbell, Nguyen, Ndofor, Stern etc
WHMC - Amaro, Huynh, Sayegh, Scheiber, Torres, Vu, Webb, Rizk etc
Oakbend - Kelli, Lorelei, Sabina, Abumeze, Bruce, Heaps, Hobson, Sarah, Yury, Kesha, Lauren, Douglas, Dama Z Please don't because it will do more harm than good, though your intention is a good one. |

slimmy05: This is the rule here: 11. Don't create distracting posts with: ALL WORDS BOLD / huge font sizes / ALL CAPS / distracting imagesspaces, etc.
If you have anything personal with his italics, then stuff it up and allow him express himself the way he deem fit in as much as he is not flouting any rule. This is what happens when people jump into issue with preconceived motive. I did not accuse him of breaking any rule, i did not ban or delete his post, i only made a politely request with words like: please and consider and thanked him but not surprisingly some of you have decided to read the wrong meanings into that harmless request . |

bigfrancis21: As a moderator on this forum for the last 3 years I am quite conversant with the rules of this forum. Rule 11 specifically states:
11. Don't create distracting posts with: ALL WORDS BOLD / huge font sizes / ALL CAPS / distracting imagesspaces, etc.
Seun made it clear that he is against ALL WORDS being in BOLD. It doesn't mean subject headers cannot be made bold while the body is in regular fonts neither could stress words not be written in bold. He made it clear: ALL BOLD WORDS are not allowed.
Moreover, I don't see why you're arguing this with me or still dragging on this issue. As a moderator on this forum I am very conversant with the rules of this forum and I state it clearly that Darklight has not gone against any of the 22 rules of this forum as Seun has instituted it. Please let go of the argument and move forward. No one is above mistakes. bigfrancis21? Can you point out where i accused Darklight of breaking any rule? |

bigfrancis21: In my opinion, Seun allowed or included all the formatting tools on the message reply feature of this forum to allow users have diverse and unique writing styles. To the best of my knowledge, it is not against any rules on this forum to write in Italics, smaller fonts or bigger fonts. As moderators, we work to implement the rules as instituted by its owner, nothing more nothing less. Nobody should be reprimanded for writing in a different or unique style as he so chooses. Are you sure about that? |

DARKLIGHT: Oga Justwise, a lot of people derail the thread in many ways and neither have they been reprimanded or cautioned. I'm just introducing my style to bring a little bit of variety. As far as I don't derail the thread or become insulting, I think I haven't done anything wrong. In an essay filled with a particular form of sentence makes the essay boring. Style matters a lot in life. I think I will stick with my signature; I'm sorry if you don't like it. I really don't know what you are banging on about here, I did not accuse you of derailing, breaking any rule or insulting anybody here, I asked you politely to consider changing your font size or style but you have decided to make a big deal out of this. |

DARKLIGHT: Hello, boss! Did you try to write to the school or call the school? It will be wise to get in contact with the school's admission office to explain to them the dilemma you are in. They might advise you to defer or they might reconsider and send you an extension letter. You really need to get in contact with them as quick as possible so as to avoid having issues. DARKLIGHT: Ok, boss. It's just my signature. But I didn't know my former font size flouts any rules until now. I can still italicized, right? Did you notice any difference between these ^^ two posts? |

slimmy05 : You will be arrested and detained for days. It not acceptable, the system now don't compromise. Go and get a Visa if you don't have the time to renew. Remember you have to be stamped in and your details taken down. NB: Your passport is now invalid and no longer documented as Nigerian passport. That will not happen, she can enter Nigeria with that expired passport and leave Nigeria with her US passport. Her Nigeria passport will not be needed when leaving Nigeria. |

TheCongo2: Justwise, shalom brother! Does this rule been applied by all the countries in the world? Residents of Canada who aren't Canadian citizens are required to hold a US transit visa when returning to Canada through the US even when when the stop over is less than 24 hours. I'm not sure about the scenario you painted but transit visa is only needed when one will be staying more than 24hrs and needed to go into the country for hours or a day or two. |

TheCongo2: To be safe, I would advise you to contact the embassy of Ethiopia or the airline itself and explain your situation in full details. Sometimes, the law and regulation can be very complex and not always easy to interpret. One day I was travelling by road from Canada to the United States. At the US-Canada border, I came across a lady from the Bahamas who was detained momentarily as she was also trying to enter the US from Canada. The reason for the detention was that she didn't have a US visa. Normally, people from the Bahamas don't require a visa to enter the US.
The lady had left the Bahamas 2 weeks earlier to visit an american family in Pennsylvanian. At that time, she was let into the US without any issue given that the Bahamas is one of the countries that is exempt for US visa. The host family took the lady for a short visit to Canada. On their way back to the US, the lady and the host family were shocked to find out that the Bahamian lady needed a visa. It turned out that Bahamians didn't need a visa to enter the US only when they were travelling directly from the Bahamas. Given that she wasn't coming from the Bahamas, a visa was require for her to re-enter the US.
The laws are not always easy to interpret. That is why you never speak to a police officer without the presence of a lawyer. The same thing hold true for travelers, never travel without contacting the embassy of the country you are planning to visit or the country of transit for the most to date visa info. Actually that is not true bro, stopover not longer than 24hrs and you don't intend to leave the airport into the country then you don't need transit visa neither do you need to contact the embassy |
