Boldruby: Praise the lord! I got my 6 months visa today after being refused last month. Thanks to everyone in this forum who have contributed one way or the other. I took my time and read from the first page of this thread to avoid asking unnecessary questions and it really paid off. I can actually pass for a visa agent with the wealth of knowledge I gained here. *wink*
Special Thanks to Justwise for taking your time to answer questions here patiently. May God bless you immeasurably. I really learnt a lot. Thanks to Iblaw for responding to my enquiry. Would also like to acknowledge 3sha4lyf for the wonderful format for cover letter to the ECO. #Godwin Congratulations! |

eniboi: its not UK , its ireland Sir and my is paid by hand not directly into my account , but i make deposit into my account. sir pls can you explain what social and economics ties means? and in the past years i have also applied for UK student visa 2007 and ireland visit visa 2009 which both was refused. i will be glad if you can be of a help in putting me through on how to package my application. Social and Economics tie in a broader terms looks at your family and financial conditions Cash in hand payment is notoriously difficult to prove when applying for visa, so it's not going to be easy. Maybe you need to start getting your salary paid directly into your account by the company but at the moment it doesn't look feasible. |

queen47: Hi Justwise
Just a quick question.....please, do you know if students still get the 20hours work permit.
I know i read on UKBA site that the new rule affects college students but someone told me his friend wasnt given.
Wanna know which is true really.
Those that were issued visa after the new rule, were you all given 20hours work permit? Yes students are still allowed to work 20hrs a week during term time and full time during summer holidays. Though only university students. Not the same with college students |

I'm planning on travelling on the 21st of this month. is that still feasible depending on the level my visa application is in. It means that your application is yet to be processed. If you don't your visa this week then 21st is not feasible |

ezychris: Yes i ve @frontpagelawyer. Thanks @justwise Please your answers have generated a few questions. 1. what are the required documents i should get from my family friend showing that they invited me and are capable of accommodating and feeding me? 2. What documents do I need from my sponsor who is my maternal aunt showing she is related to me? 1. That is the least of your problems, proof of relationship with paper evidence is important...email exchange, chat history/phone call, prove that you have been in contact with this person for sometime now. The person you are going to visit is not directly related to you so you need to convince the ECO why he is inviting you. 2. Your aunt sponsoring will be a problem, why does she wants to spend thousands on you for a trip to the UK? What will she gain from it? How much does she earn to be able to spend that much on you? Those are questions you need to answer. |
