derbylicious: Lmfao..ok this cracked me up! Lolz You are agent 46!!!
Anyway, now I have an idea on what to do...lol
Meanwhile, Justwise et al...had my interview on Friday...want to know if it's necessary to activate Internet banking (to open an account there and transfer) or just handle monetary issues with a master card(when the hard bills run out) Please do if you can it will save you a lot of problem but...check the exchange rate before you start transferring. Notwithstanding...its a good idea. I'm beating myself up now for not opening back account in Nigeria the last time i visited because sending money home through western union or bank is an expensive exercise |

FrontPageLawyer: @Justiwise can he be sponsored as an adult knowing fully well the purpose of travel is for tourism? It depends on who is sponsoring him and his relation to that person. If his host is paying for everything and he can proof that they are related with evidence then it increases his chances. |

ezychris: Thank you for your response. I'm single and have no child. I'm currently working as an instructor in a school of health technology where I'm being paid 22k monthly. The only problem you have now is to prove your relationship with that family friend inviting you, financial you wil be ok because you are only going to be spending money on ticket while accommodation and feeding is taken care of by your host. |

Mubarak39: Then how can someone go about paying for his accommodation, i thought the maximum limit of ATM transaction is $300? it's not even up to £200 I guess That is a day limit, you can withdraw the money in 2 days or go straight to your bank to withdraw above £300 |

el2015: A BIG thank you to you all.
If I can be scolded on a faceless forum, I wonder how it'll be in the real world.
She didn't come up with the idea, I did thinking it was best she's far away from me even though I'll take responsibility for the child. But no point trying migrate illegally.
I've decided to shelve the American Plan. She'll give birth here in Nigeria. she can always apply for visa after childbirth if she so wish.
Like you all said which I agree 100%. She doesn't deserve the privilege my wife never enjoyed.
I'm done. Will have to delete this account and move on.
It's good to be on Nairaland With this post we have come to the end of this discussion. Please let's move on. |

I guess am so mad, sorry for the rant!
I have always wondered why people use agent or agency for flight booking while the airline website is there. Agent can't sell you ticket cheaper than the airline |

Annalise: hmn. Thank you. I don't think the amount in the salary account is up to that. Even if it is there could be some irregularities within the last 6 months. How low can the balance get? Exactly! So why not present the account as it's rather than asking how much you need to have? I said 10m obviously to emphasis that it doesn't matter if you have 10 or 100m in your account what matters is the source of that money. Since she is a pensioner her income is fixed. |

chiinj: Thank you so much for your help, guys. I didn't even have to ask a lot of questions. This thread (from part 1 - now) is so informative. A big thank you to justwise for starting it.
I can't stress the importance of telling the truth with regards to visa refusals when applying for a visa. I applied on the 26th of August, had my interview on the 28th, got my decision and collection mail on Tuesday and I got my visa on Wednesday. I applied at Abuja VAC.
All the best to everyone hoping for a positive reply. You all will get it by God's grace. Congratulations! |

Annalise: Hello and thank you. I went back many pages and could not find the question that applies to me. I had many options for source of employment and had to choose only one. She told me to pick retired from the list. I want to know the average amount that needs to be running in the account. What if sometime in July it went low to about 200k etc. That doesn't matter anymore because as a retired person you don't expect an active account activities apart from her pension money coming in. All the financial burden concerning the trip will fall on you. There is no point trying to move money into her account that you can't explain the source. |

Poetchi: Hmmm, Thanks for the prompt response JustWise. Just a bit of background, he has been to the UAE and returned before visa expiration. Does that make any difference? It doesn't. He has to qualify on his own merit without your input. You can't take an adult along to a foreign trip like a child. |

Poetchi: Hi people,
Pls I need a bit of guidance.
I am planning to travel to Canada with my family (wife, son, and sister) in December. We all have valid USA visa's and have been to the UK together. I also plan to include my bro-in-law in this trip so as to give him some exposure. He is working (though very meagre salary, not up to 50k per month), 30 yrs of age but he does not have a US visa. My wife and I would be co-sponsoring this trip for everyone.
Now, my question is this? Without a valid US visa and no statement of Account, what are my brother-in-law's chances? Need your urgent and expert advice pls. Close to zero. |

I stay in a house with 2 ladies. I put it on the form she'd stay with me. Do I still need to book a hotel? I want to know all other documents she should include to submit at the application centre. It's Abuja. - Who does your mum do? Employed or running her own business? - 6 months bank statement is a standard - book hotel for her since you are living in a shared accommodation. - many questions you asked has been answered here over and over again |
