anonymousmum: Mehn! this is something. Was it not on ML home page about a guy too that was profiled in Poland abi na Netherlands.
When women with toddlers will go and be shoplifting ...
Per JFK story, it does not have to be fake correspondence. I suspect that what may have happened is that when they called the hospital and the following ensued:
a) the person that they spoke to does not know jack and gave a wrong quote; or b) the person gave undiscounted quote over the phone to POE i.e like 15k , wen the quote that was given via correspondence was discounted, maybe like 8k. Hmm overzealous POE official. I hope this is not their new modus operandi... anonymousmum: Ogo Justwise! Your spam bot raptured my post for no reason and even banned me since yesterday God knows I have been on my best behaviour these days...hmm pls release my post oo |

SmartMugu: Not sure I'll move back to Nigeria, it however pays me to flip-flop between both countries. Both places have opportunities. When one however finds himself entirely immersed in the system in a foreign country, it's difficult to know what their home country has to offer.
So, in my opinion, the smart ones are the ones that choose to leave the comfort of a foreign country sometimes and explore what they can do to make their home country better, or better still setup something at home. Then that makes you a hypocrite, somebody reading all you said about US and living there will think that you will be taking the next available flight back to Nigeria. If US is that bad for foreigners and got nothing to offer you then why are you still there? |

SmartMugu: What happens after getting your US citizenship? I know tonnes of people who already became US citizens and can't even use their US passports for anything. They are simply buried in their bills to think of traveling anywhere. All they can brag about is being a US citizen, which is crap when they are stuck with working for 35-40 years in someone else's country. They eventually return to Nigeria waiting for their social security checks and possibly be buried in their motherland when they eventually die. Many of them never own anything in Nigeria, yet their nephews and nieces own homes they built. In return, the returnees will brag again about the huge homes they have in the US, technically owned by the US banks for the 35 year mortgage they agreed to.
#10 is just the beginning of the journey bro. All the homeless people we see in the US no be US citizens? It could have being from their choices though.
Those that diligently went through the steps you highlighted to become US citizens and end up with good jobs still know modern-day slavery when they see it. They just don't complain because their home country aint any better.
You may be new to the US or just don't get the full picture yet...
I live in the US too, and I do have US citizenship as well, I just look at a bigger picture than what the system attempts to make me think. There is really no where like home, let's keep that on our minds before getting in too deep into what the system wants us to be. When are you moving back to Nigeria? |

Qc1: Dude!
Homeboy was 100% right! Before you doubt my claim, I lived in Staten Island NY. Park Hill (NY 10306) to be precise. I had a house on Wright street / Van Duzar, not far from Stapleton (NY 10305). I moved to Canada about 2 decades ago and I'm loving it.
Unlike homeboy, If I can get just 40% of my salary gross in Naija, I will forever be happy. Why? Because Naija is the best place to live! Pure and simple! That is why you preferred other places to Nigeria. So Nigeria is not the best place to live |

Gerrard59: It's only Nigerians I have seen complain about paying taxes, how else do you expect things to work functionally without taxes? You want constant electricity, but you don't want to pay taxes? You expect motorable roads, and want to evade the only means government would make money to provide such amenities? . It's your type of person that Nigeria should avoid; physically indolent, mental shiftlessness that you possess. Wanting the best in life without working for it. Awuff lovers.
Better kukuma stay there, Nigeria doesn't need your type Tell me why any Nigerian should pay more tax to Nigerian govt? |

qstomiwa: @all, thanks for the great job being done here, this forum has helped a lot of people in one way or the other, I got to the UK lastweek, (Heriot-Watt university), I started lectures this Monday, and it's not easy just this few days, am doing 4 courses this semester as an MSc , I was surprised when I got to know there won't be exams for 3 courses, as Assessment is 100% coursework, which I prefer exams, I need advice on how to get good grades and which one is more likely to get A in btw the coursework and exams? And advice on getting a part time jobs, will part time jobs in Semester 1 not affecting the chances of getting good grades? Get handout from your school or online on referencing, citation and journal article reviewing because you will need that badly to be able to pass any course work. To get part time jobs you need to register with job agencies online and in town centre in your city. University job boards also advertise for part time jobs as well |

Emmyadeey88: Hello y'all, I'm a transfer student to university of Brighton. I've been away for sometime so basically I'm in nigeria for the visa application and internship placement. I have questions for you guys. I have issues filling the maintenance section of the online visa application. I have a scholarship worth 7.2 m naira (£23100). My tuition fee is £13500 with a balance of £9600 for maintenance. My error was, i wrote the monthly stipend of £800 in the maintenance section which covers 12 months, but I did state the bulk meant for maintenance in the other related section for maintenance too. I did corrected this differences in the self assessment form while submitting my application. I also submitted original copies of evidence of scholarship including the bank statement of the body which awarded me the scholarship. I hope the factor won't be a set back for me ? Your kandid comments will be appreciated. Thanks You did the right thing, but have you submitted at visa centre? |

jayfierce: Hello Everyone,
Thanks to the encouragements of this wonderful house I was able to visit the UK and return in April 2015 after 3 weeks holiday.
I need some advice again, my 6months visa has expired and I was thinking of applying for two years. It's targeted at saving cost and reducing stress due to frequent visits to the embassies i.e every 6 months.
I don't know if they will consider it because I heard they prefer to issue 6months visa for visits. Also I hear they've included medical fees for visas above 6months.
Thanks for the help! There is no truth in that. You will be issued 2 years visa if you met the requirements and medical surcharge is for those going to live in the UK for more than 6 months |

Portsmouth86: Hi all
I need some advice on the bank statements I will need to supply to Sheffield for hubbys spouse visa application
My bank statements are online PDFs ive printed, and I seem to be just going over everything like a million times.
I have seen conflicting information
in the immigration appendix it states this:
(1) on official bank stationery; or (2) electronic bank statements which are either accompanied by a letter from the bank on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are authentic or which bear th e official stamp of the issuing bank on every page.
All my pdf have headed paper etc.
has anyone had to get these stamped, my bank NatWest have said they do not stamp statements.
Please advise
thanky you Compare the printout with the standard bank statement we get from post if they both contain the same info then you got nothing to worry about. |
