Please take it easy on indirect/unintentional advert for accommodations here because its not fair on companies that pay to place their ad here while others are getting it free in this thread.

Bros, sharing it here in a problem but the problem is how he will succeed.

Portuguese is the spoken language there and if you don't know anyone there you won't not find it easy at all.

I recommend that people look to that destination for child bearing for so many reasons.

Giving birth using the public hospital is the best as you would not spend any kobo.

With the birth certificate, documents likes CPF for the child is instant. And National Id, called RG takes a week as well as the passport but they are obtained in different departments.

The parents Documents takes less than two months but definitely you need a help of a professional to help you out to avoid delays.
..and your next step now is to recommend that 'professional' who will help right?

Did you see how MRBrownJ answered that question without dropping his contact details for 'professional' help?

VisaOfficer:
Nothing on the internet can by itself cause a case to be either denied or approved. But sometimes things we see on the internet (including here) can open new lines of questioning. For instance, a quick Google search of someone's name can often lead to the photos they've posted of themselves and their families, including spouses who are not the petitioner in their IR1 visa case! smiley We wouldn't refuse to issue a visa based solely on that evidence, but we would probably conduct a field investigation, etc.

We also know that people post a bunch of stuff that isn't necessarily true, for all sorts of reasons, so we wouldn't refuse a case just because someone posted "I'm married to someone who's not the petitioner." But we would take a very close look at their situation.

The only times I personally would sift through the Nairaland posts of a specific member were when I knew an applicant was a Nairalander, and when I also knew that he or she had a fraudulent application. Justwise will remember our friend from the DV thread who maintained a very spiritual online persona, but turned out to be an imposter with a fake marriage... I totally went back and read all that guy's posts, because he kept announcing that he was praying and fasting for a successful interview and I knew he wasn't the person in the original entry photo. But that guy got denied because he was an imposter, not because he posted to Nairaland. (I wonder how he's doing now...)

Oh, and sometimes people ask questions here that assume that I remember things they wrote in the past, so I'll go back to see if I can figure out what they're talking about.

But in general, we don't go looking for online information. Only when we think there's a reason to do so.
grin grin he is probably here with another ID because i banned that ID for a long time.

Justwise and LadyG,

Like NanaF, I do think that a true representation of my average monthly income is the sum total of all upfront allowance paid+ monthly salary divided by 12 (at least for visa purposes smiley )

Let's paint a scenario. Ms A and Ms B work for company X and Company Y respectively.

Ms A's monthly payslip after tax is:
Basic Pay: 200,000
Meal allowance: 30,000
Hazard Allowance: 20,000
Housing allowance: 150,000

Her take home for the month from Company X is NGN400,000 and annual is NGN4,800,000

Now, Company Y prefers to pay the Hazard+Meal+Housing annually as an "upfront" in January. Ms B's monthly payslip after tax is

Basic Salary: 200,000

But she gets N2,400,000. (30000*12)+(20000*12)+(150000*12) as "upfront" every January.

Ms B's monthly take home is N200,000 but she does earn the same N4,800,000 as Ms A, just that company Y decides to pay a bulk sum once a year.

If Ms A can "claim" to earn 400k monthly, I think MsB should too as this will be a true representation of her average monthly income.

If it was UK visit visa application, Ms B can explain it in the "additional" statement space and attach payslips+upfront payslip. For the US application, there is no space for stories so, Ms B will NOT be telling a lie if she fills that her "monthly" income is N400,000 as long as she can defend it if it comes up during the interview.

Again, this is solely my opinion... I'm not a VisaOfficer smiley
I'm not disputing that, my point is...when asked about your salary state it clearly as it appears on your payslip/bank statement then explain other incentives/bonuses that adds up to your annual income. The analysis you outlined above is not on payslip or bank statement and if by any chance the VO requested for your payslip/bank statement that analysis will not be seen.

Yes you earn that amount but the way you answer questions can lead to unintentional-misrepresentation.

I get an upfront of say N3m and then earn maybe 180k for the rest of the year (except months of leave allowance and 13th month). 180k per month as a monthly income is not a true representation of my income, I'm sure you'll agree with me.

My leave allowance is part of my annual salary of let's say N5m, same as my 13th month. It's stated on my offer letter. The true representation of my monthly income is to divide my net annual salary (after tax) by 12. I can choose to get my leave allowance at any month in the year. If I leave my company abruptly, I will have to refund that money to them.
NanaF:
That's about 6 months salary paid in advance in January
You need to be specific with your figures, if you are paid N3m 6months salary in advance then call it 6months and not about 6 months

If you get paid 180k monthly then that its 180k monthly and not maybe 180k, how do you expect the VO to believe you when you are not specific with your salary?

State clearly how much you get paid as stated in your payslip then explain any other additional income that adds up to your annual income

Still on salary issue, my annual salary on my pay slip includes my leave allowance+upfront+13th month. I divided by 12, deducted estimated tax and arrived at my monthly take home which I filled. I also got a letter from my company which stated my my total cost to the company but this, of course, wasn't looked at.

Jennytbell used the wrong expression but I think Omooloriredade summarized it nicely.
Your leave allowance is not part of your monthly salary, your monthly salary is fixed and should be stated as its. If you are paid 1 naira monthly then that is your salary.
Travel › Re: Usa Visit Visa by justwise(mod): 10:37pm On Sep 24, 2015
Omooloriredade:
It was the wrong expression to use by the poster. Cozybunch understood this and gave the appropriate response. We all know that some organizations pay certain lump sums upfront as well as allowances which when considered reflects the economic situation of the applicant. However, you only have a portion to fill your net income. Applicants who so desire, can come with other documents, payslips, statements, offer letters, investment advice (like statement) that capture these incomes. The fact that VOs seldom check docs is another topic entirely.

Do not latch on to a sentence or word and respond to a post. Read and try as much as possible to understand the poster before you respond. He/she might just be innocent. Most are just confused and seeking guidance. Do not see it as an opportunity to torn them to shreds. Respect the vulnerable in the society cheesy cheesy

cozybunch:
@jennytbell, any type of alteration that is falsify is misrepresentation. You need to state clearly
1. Monthly salary
2. Allowance (quarterly, bimonthly or how you earn them)
3. Any other type of income you earn.
4. Show the total figure. It shows you are worth such figure annually.
Please note profit sharing is not considered as income, it is an investment. You don't need to include those.
If have any other meanfull information or document that can help prove you are a legitimate traveler, take it along.
The whole idea is for you to prove your legitimacy or your credibility. That burden is solely on you.
Good Luck.
Keep that preaching to yourself and call a spade a spade. cozybunch and LadyGuinivere are basically stating the same fact and there is no point trying to pick a fight with LadyGuinivere.

You have problem with LadyGuinivere giving her view here without massaging the truth and you are looking for any little means to pick on her and that was why i removed your post

However, an appropriate response has been given by another moniker. So it's okay.

Yes you need UK bank account for that.

Why not go to their shop in the city where you live?

In any town centre you see shops like Topshop, Next, Bank, primark, and many other shops selling winter jackets at affordable prices

Even Asda, Tesco and sainsburys sell winter jackets of different sizes
