But if i masy ask, justwise do u have any problem with agents?

They are doing their job and making research to earn money from the lazy Nigerians that dont want to do things themselves.....do you expect them them to rent offices and do job for lazy people for free in a country with no work.

Well to me as long as they are not scamming people and really doing what they are paid for, then i see nothing wrong with being an agent. If you think they are fraudulent people then good to expose them but else i see nothing wrong in being an agent to lazy people.
I have problem with: scammers/fraudsters/thieves...does that answer your question?

@Deyanju...i am triple sure. Its not a big deal to change ur status. The first time i helped a friend with the procedure was 10 years ago. Today he is a US citizen. 2 years ago i helped my aunt with same procedure. But my aunt had to come return to Naija due to the expenses of paying for her fees and that of her children who would have to continue their primary and secondary school in the US cos i made sure her 4 children and husband were included in her form I-20.

So you are going for an undergraduate course in US this year while 10yrs ago you helped a friend to convert visiting visa to student visa? When i read that i actually thought you are an American citizen or a long time US resident.

So how did you managed to perform that miracle 10yrs ago but can't help yourself now?

You don't know what you are talking about, point out one insult in my post. Don't deceive yourself, ask honest and genuine question and you will get an honest answer.

The question is: If you can sponsor yourself as you claimed then why do you need to work for sometime first before starting your course? Is that an insult?

I am in the health sector. Whoever ever has a visit visa has nothing to fear. If you re in doubt call up ur school and ask. And if you think going through the hustle of visa interview is your best bet then good luck. Ibwould have loved to help such people call their schools and make arrangements but i changed my mind cos some.people will see it as an agents strategy. Good luck guys in your endevours
So no interview with visiting visa? If you can't afford to apply for student visa in Nigeria how will you afford it in US after couple in weeks there?

VisaOfficer:
It sounds to me like you are traditionally married.

I'm going to quote a response I posted a long time ago: This is an area where Nigerian law and U.S. law don't dovetail neatly. Traditional marriages in Nigeria do count as marriages and make people ineligible for K visas -- and if your fiance gives the bride price, that's a marriage under customary law. But because such marriages are often undocumented, the Nigerian spouse can't benefit from the IR1 or CR1 petition, because there's no piece of paper to submit to NVC. So people who have had traditional or customary marriages, but not a registry or religious marriage*, are stuck, unable to get either a fiance or a spouse visa.

The obvious solution is to go ahead and do the registry marriage in Nigeria, then apply for a spouse petition. The only reason that takes longer than a fiance petition is that you can file a fiance petition any time, but you can't file a spouse petition until after the marriage.

We do like to hear that people have met each other's parents... but if we know you've had an introduction ceremony, we'll be very curious about whether it was actually a traditional marriage, or just an introduction. Whatever the case, tell the truth, and you'll end up with the visa you qualify for.

(* Religious marriages are recognized for spouse petitions if there's a certificate from an established religious institution involved.)

Absolutely!!! That is just the issue.

And your last line is just the solution.
