tito1717: Thanks for your reply the question asked if any visa has been issued in the last 10 years. The visa was issued 11 years ago from now (2004) but was valid till 2006. If it was meant to be a yes, what do you advise now? Can we withdraw the application? Please advise
Her appointment is on Monday, please advice on what is best we do. Thank you so much She can correct that mistake in the paper version and make a note beside it. |

peddy007: Hello gurus I will like to confirm something for a good friend of mine. He's being helping a British friend he met online with African cultural studies ,this british friend would be in Nigeria in October for a week and would like to invite him also to UK (not for dating), the British already made all necessary inquiry with the embassy about inviting and sponsoring him,she already has all the required docs but my friend has got no job to prove as home ties. The embassy said all the British docs are OK to sponsor him, Can it be that the embassy is deceiving the British despite knowing that my friend got no home ties? thanks . I doubt that, maybe they contacted an agent or immigration lawyer. |

tito1717: Hello all, I have a question about travel history in the visa application. My mum got a two years multiple visa that was issued in November 2004 and was valid till November 2006, she travelled last in December 2004 and that was her last time till date. where it says have you ever been issued a visa for the UK in the last 10 years , what should be filled - a yes or a no? We filled a no. Is this correct? Another question do we have to declare a passport that was issued over 10 years ago? We did not put the passport details that she used to travel over 10 years because I assumed the information required was restricted to 10 years ago. Is there any danger with this non declaration?
We have already submitted the application on line and her appointment is on Monday please advice ASAP.
Thanks a lot for your advice You said no? Your mum was issued visa in 2004 and you were asked if you have been issued visa before and you said no? You be lucky to escape 10years ban. |

How much do you think will be okay for this trip? Nothing extravagant oo. Thanks Your chances are slim, give yourself the next 6 months with your new salary range...spending 400k in 10days on your current bank balance is crazy. |

TYPOP: Truth is, some people already have it set in their minds that you cannot get visa without agents. A lot of those guys have stuff to hide (not all of them). For instance, I know this guy who didn't have any form of invitation to SA and only gave his passport to an agent with 120k. Guess what, he got his visa in 2 days.
However, if I know I have the right documents, why would I want to pay an agent 60k? For what? When the embassy has stated I can gather my documents and come apply myself.
Let's be clear, corruption is high in Nigeria but you don't have to join the bandwagon. I got my visa without paying anyone. I have helped people outside of this thread without them paying any dime (at least 4 in December only). People have come back to this forum and said thank you because they got their visas based on advise from people on this thread. And finally, I DO NOT know anyone in SA embassy.
Peace.
PS: This is not an invitation to send me PMs. I will not open your mail.Let's do everything in the open. ...with forged documents of course because you can't get a visa with just passport a lone. |

TYPOP: @Samtol4, where are you? Did you see this? LOL.
ATTENTION everyone, this is not true. Check the bolded part (I made it bold for emphasis). Ask all the people who have been coming back here to say thank you whether they paid a dime to any agent.
We preach Do It Yourself (DIY) on this thread.
Peace. Thanks for correcting that false information |

VisaOfficer: Nairalanders: I understand there is at least one cultural group here in which the couple isn't considered married even after the bride price / dowry has been paid? Which group is that, and what has to happen next for the couple to be considered married? Educate me!
We spend a lot of time in the office talking about these issues with our Nigerian colleagues here, but I'd love to hear from you, too. VO the member you quoted[Euma] is right...couple is considered married the moment the bride price/dowry is paid...in Igbo culture the dowry and the traditional marriage could be done the same day and the wife officially go home with her husband....marriage done. |

Usernametaken: Hi everyone.. Please I need some advice on how to go about a work training in the UK.
I have been working online with a UK company since 2013 and the CEO (a Brit) has offered me the chance of going over there for a few weeks on work training. All this while I have been paid through Western Union only but the CEO is willing to show western union receipts, provide a letter of invitation for the training and also add a supporting letter from his accountant. I will also be accommodated in his residence for the duration. Please I'd like to know how I can go about getting a visa for this category of travel and what will be expected of me.
Mr Justwise kindly help, thanks a lot. Who will be sponsoring the training? |

My woman just got admission into SAIT, she has been refused visitor visa once (Dec 2014) and I need a professional to work with her during this process that's why i came to this platform to seek advise about them. Bro, i am kinda offended tho but its all good. Tell that to a year old baby, i know better. |

Mockingjay7: hi @justwise or anybody with proper info...please I need clarity. I'm applying for a special visitor visa (short courses), I have my admission, paid the tuition. But the problem is accomodation. I intend staying with a friend who is on a Tier 4 visa, since the school doesn't provide accomodation for short courses. The friend lives in a rented flat and has a roommate. The short course is for 10 weeks. Now the issue here is would it raise any suspicion to the ECO or is it a must I stay with someone that has a proper job? P.S my dad is my sponsor. Accommodation will be an issue, 10 weeks is a long time to be accommodated in a shared student flat. |
