saxywale: my wife cane back from the bank to open an account, our first week in Canada and she was dashed a 1k credit card, just like that., it took me 3 years in the UK to even qualify for a 1k credit card. Lol....a friend got that when we were still studying...she took it without hesitation but that ruined her credit history because she was unable to pay back the interest and it piled up to £4000...she moved away from that city as bailiff was after her....still paying back till today |

saxywale: I don't know how easy it is in the US. UK is still strict with credit but I have also seen credit ruin people's lives there. I worked for RBS for a while and seen people taking out 25k loans to pay credit card debt and then return to the credit card. It's really sad. Same scenario is playing out in Canada nowadays....a lot of migrants are coming in and don't understand how credit works...the bad thing about Canada is that credit is very very cheap i. e a new migrant can qualify for mortgage in a year! I have seen new landed migrants taking car finance for a 30k car...crazy...The bubble is going to bust here soon too. Just like the cheap us credit before the recession. The UK scenario in waiting ... |

mizIvy: Her business is her only source of income. Thanks alot I will do as u advice. Ok..then she pays tax on the income from the business. Another thing....you need to make a list of places you tend to visit in the UK and makes a budget of that trip....e.g how much the trip will cost you, keep it as minimum as possible covering the essentials...avoid spending more than 2 months of your salary. Attach all that to your package and submit. |

mizIvy: Its a personal bank statement. She pay yearly tax but personal tax.
I submitted my personal account cos dats d only account i have .My company pay my salary into my personal account. When I stated working with them, they only pay in chaque or cash but I talked to them to rather pay in my account. So dats what they bin doing. I don't understand what you meant by personal tax, is her business her only source of income or she works and run the business by the side? As regards to your bank statement...you need to use the blank space in the form to explain the unusual payment from your company....that way the ECO will not second-guess the source of the money in your account. Obviously you can afford the trip but you gave very little info to support the source of the money your presented. |

Lilolo3: I didn't mention I can't sponsor myself I sai I don't know how to go about it, I want to work and study there, I don't know what the cost is what am expected to have and how/steps I can go through to achieve my dreams that's why I came here to ask for help, I believe there are experts and more knowledgeable people on this aspect. Lilolo3: Thanks a lot I appreciate your words of encouragement. But please if you have any idea please share with me, I don't know if I can go as a casual worker since am a fresh graduate and has no much work experience and then later apply for the studies after saving some more money since the work allowance can't cover my school fees? If you can sponsor yourself then why do you need to work for sometimes to save money before starting your course? Be honest with your question so that people will give you an honest answer. You can't travel to Canada as a causal work before starting a course, that will be almost impossible. |

I just think sending him to Spain first will be easier than take him back to the UK. I also want to take him out of Nigeria as soon as possible. That is true, if he gets EEA then he will not be denied entry to the UK. |

kayode85: Thanks for responding to my query. He has an employment letter and a salary account, but most of the money in the domiciliary account was from savings accrued prior to this present job.So his present salary will not suffice as the source of money in his domiciliary account. Any advice as to what to do,please? Should he just attach a covering letter explaining it's from his previous jobs? He needs to do that and also give you his payslip and salary account as a proof of his source of his income. |

kayode85: Happy Sunday everyone. I have a number of issues that I need help with regarding my general visitors visa.To begin,I am applying for this visa so I can attend my graduation following successful completion of the program 4 months ago. However,my dad is my sponsor n he has sent a consent letter n his bank statement to me.On reviewing his bank statement today,I discovered it's a Domiciliary account with no activity for nearly six months but with a balance of over 12 million.I am a bit worried about the inactivity affecting my application negatively. And there is no evidence on d statement of the source of income.please any advice or am I just over thinking as he said. You don't need to worry about the inactivity in his account, get documents to back up the source of that money....his payslip and salary account if he works |
