Romance › Re: 5 Major Mistakes Nigerian Men Make In A Relationship by justwise(m): 6:43pm On Feb 10, 2015
ilotriouzAY:
1. You Don’t Fight For Her.

No matter how much you love each other, disagreements are an inevitable part of being in a relationship. Men often make the mistake of fighting against their partner rather than fighting for her. A man who fights for his partner makes her feel safe and cared for.

2. You Never Took Time To Study Her.

Though men are often all-too-aware that the women they’re in relationships with are complex, they often make the mistake of relying on surface knowledge in the way they relate to their partner without really understanding her.

3. You Ain’t Trustworthy.

Nothing destroys a relationship more quickly or more thoroughly than doing something that breaks down your partner’s trust in you. Nothing cultivates a relationship more than being dependable.

4. You Never Made Her A Queen.

Many relationships suffer when the woman begins to feel either unimportant or less important than something else. The best relationships are often cultivated most by the value a man places on the woman he loves.

5. Your Didn’t Take Her To Different Places.

Relationships can grow stale when dating becomes routine by doing the same things over and over. Studies have shown that couples who spend their time trying out new activities are generally healthier.

What do u think??
Study a woman? How many years study will that be? Talk is cheap, the outcome of your study will probably change completely when she becomes your wife, just pray long and hard for God to bless you with a good one, forget about studying...women know their game too well

Thanks do you think he can get it back. if so How can he get it?
He needs to write the embassy first to know if it has been sent to the authorities, if yes then he has to visit the immigration office to request for it. Its up to them to decide whether to hand it over to him or not.

Good afternoon @justwise, My brother was refused visa and was told he has limited right to appeal. He was given ten years ban because the date of arrival stamped here in MM airport is different from the official date recorded by the commission. However, we noticed that his old passport ( the one that contained a 6 month visa and two 2 year visa, all expired) was not returned. Only the renewed passport was returned. Here is my question, Do they have the right to withhold the passport. Thanks
The passport will be returned to Nigerian immigration

Bros justwise, is something like this possible without an interview at the Us embassy...huh

Paying someone a sum of money to process a 1 or 2years US/Canada visit visa without the traveller coming for an interview...huh
Not possible with US visa but it's with Canadian visa, they are not going to give you 1 or 2 visa though. Agents use that term to get more money from people.
People who use agents deserve to be scammed. If you are qualified for visa then you don't need an agent to complete a form for you.

I think he means that he will spend out of the money in his account thus when they want to verify, the balance would be less.
Yes and that is misrepresentation, which means he lied about the amount available to him for the trip.

@justwise please I need your suggestions urgently..I'm currently in london on a 6months visa if you could remember , I'm staying with a relation of mine at the moment.. I'm thinking about staying in the country but they were recommending i have to stay that you must get a student visa which will help you in terms of jobs, accommodations, freedom etc... I'm a kind of football loving person I'd love to take that as a career as well.. So the debate is now on if should apply for a school with I'd love the course to Sports Science ( na that wan my head fit carry) well it sound silly, but I'm being honest here, I don't want to be among the students that misses classes or stop studying while staying in the country... Studying in the university can even give me the chance of being in the sch team which who knows you might lucky enough to get teams from top or little divisions that loves the way you play etc.. So ill need your thoughts towards this thank you
Pato231 has said it all, type the course title in Google it will link you to schools that offer such course, apply, make payment and get your CAS then return to Nigeria for your visa application.

The bank statement is official and genuine. However, the closing balance may not be the same if they verify amount, though not below what i intend to spend on the trip. That's why I asked.

Hi JustWise

My wife (we've been married for 2 months) intends to make a UK visa application to travel with me on Easter weekend. It's her first application. I have a 5 year visa, which I have used to travel once every year since 2012. it will expire 2017.

1) Does she need to have a leave letter from her office since good friday and Easter Monday are puplic holidays?
2) Would stating that she will spend 3 nights only in the UK sound suspicious to the ECO?
3) Given that it is a very short stay, would an account balance of N1.2 million satisfy the financial preparation requirement. I'm the one sponsoring. The main expense would be flight return ticket which will cost us about N300k (using Arik at least). We plan to stay with my sister who lives with her husband.
4) She started work October last year. They don't give payslips in her office. How best can she present her income situation?
5) What advise do you reckon will give her application higher chances of success?
6) Do they verify account statements submitted from the issuing banks? If 'yes', is the verification just for the authenticity, or are they concerned about whether the amount in the balance has changed?

Thanks
1. Yes she does.

2. You could state one week and stay only 3 days if given visa.

3. That amount is not bad as long as you budget moderately.

4. If payment from her company goes straightway into her account then she will be fine.

5.....

6....if you are submitting a genuine bank statement then you should not be asking that question.

@justwise after 42 days, my mum got this message
UK Visas & Immigration has now assessed your UK visa application and made a decision. Your documents and the decision will be sent back to the either the UK Visa Application Centre where you applied, where we will contact you by email over the next few days to collect them, or if you are using the courier return service, will be sent directly back to the address you provided.

Please note that Teleperformance does not know the outcome of the assessment and has played no role in the decision-making process.

I hope this is not a refusal because i have heard people say they will say the visa is processed and ready for collection if they have granted the visa. Hope to read from you. Thanks
Unfortunately one can not really say if she has been given or not until you collect your package.

Hello @lalavita and @justwise.
Went to see the consular officer today and all went well. He only needed to see our burden of proof and I had bank statements and also a quote from the US hospital. He did however refer to last year's interview and I told him I wasn't aware I was pregnant at the time and I was only renewing for my vacation in December which I've since embarked on. He then proceeded to tell me about not using the public healthcare system etc.
Thanks a lot!
I'm glad it worked out just fine for you.

If he intends doing a Postgraduate Course he can get the International Merit Award which is £2000 and get better attention as regards Visa support etc if he applied through the regional office than if he applied directly to the school. Not that he cant get all this if he applies directly to the school but the regional office will give him a much better service/attention. I am saying this from experience.
He wants to apply to a school in the UK and you are talking about regional office in Dubai? What is difficult about getting admission and visa? Any student who can not do simple admission and visa application should not bother leaving Nigeria, all the info you need is online and why would you pay an agent to complete a form for you?

When you have such transaction in your account use the blank space in the form to explain it as an additional info.

That should be enough, you don't need to move money around from/into your account, if you have 1 or 2M in your account present it like that and attach a letter explaining how much you will be contributing towards the trip.

she has cac certificate of registration, local government annual levy receipt for last year and this year, invoices from her business except tax clearance, but she has tax receipt for last year.
do you advise that she should sponsor the trip alone? should i go ahead to give a letter indicating that i will pay for my kid sisters ticket?
should i transfer 200000 to her savings account so it will reflect on her statement or should i add my statement to hers?
knowing that i am not one of the applicants, will i be asked to prove source of funds in my account?
please what is your advise?
Let her get an updated tax certificate to increase her chances.

Rather than transferring money into her account you can add your bank statement with a note attacked explaining that is for your little sister who you will be sponsoring

I helped her with the application. I submitted the following;

1. My six months payslip (approximately £1500/ month. I work with nhs professionals as a flexible worker)

2. NHS bursary notification (£800/ month. I'm a psychiatric student nurse.
3. Students finance (£760 paid quarterly)

4. My daughter's evidence of child benefit.
5. Evidence of childtax credit (£270/ month)

6. Tenancy agreement ( 2 bedroom flat)

7. Evidence of university enrolment and council tax exemption.
8. Data page of my british passport, daughter's British passport and wife's spouse visa.
9. A letter of invitation stating I will be fully responsible for all expenses.

10. Mother in-law's nigerian passport.

For re-application,I'm considering getting the first son and in-laws to write letters and provide their bank statements, father in-law to swear an affidavit to say he is happy for her to travel for 4 months, state that they own their own home in the village and no document to show, include a family photograph of her family, list names and marital status of all children, grandchildren and in-laws, get the village clergy to write a letter of introduction and to state that she would return after her visit. I have also booked a BA flight with return.
How about her 70years old husband? He is her strongest tie to Nigeria because they need each other, that and the section in bold should have been added during the initial application. Explaining how close they are and that she will not leave her husband in Nigeria and overstay in the UK. 4months is far too long, 1-2 months should have been better considering her age and that of the husband.

Please advise.

Could the experts advice please.

Wife is expecting a baby and I am inviting mother in-law for 4 months. I am providing accommodation (in a 2 bedroom flat) and all expenses associated with her travel. Mother in-law was refused because she is unemployed and has no property to show.

Problem is, she is 60 years and has a 70 year old husband. They own their own home and farmland in village but no document to show. She is a farmer and lives in the village and doesn't operate her bank account. She saves her money under her pillow.

I have asked her to print her bank statement all the same (which has just N40k in it), get my father in-law to do an affidavit saying he is happy for her to travel for four months, asked the village vicar to give a letter, included a family photograph with her family (7 of them of which 6 are in nigeria), drawn a list of all children, grandchildren and in-laws, got the son to give a letter stating they support their mom financially and include bank statement, got 2 sons in-law in nigeria to do same.

On my part, I have booked an onward and return flight with BA, included receipts and pictures of gifts items we purchased during the christmas sales in preparation of her going back (worth over £1000). I previously supplied evidence of income (bank statements, payslips etc), employment, data page of my passport, wife's and daughter's passports, invitation letter and tenancy agreement.

What else can I provide to show this people that mom in-law is not running away from nigeria and she is provided for in nigeria?
Who helped her with the application?

Can you list documents submitted?
