Yes and i still stand by that, if you are married then use your husband's name or use it plus your maiden name like many married women do, it saves you a whole lot of trouble when completing official documents in future.

hello justwise, i have a quick question, my cousin is in the uk and wants to do a new course, she just completed her masters so she wants to switch to another course but the problem here is the maintenance fee, her guardian has the money in the account for 28 days and she needs a document to proof their relationship. she wants to know if an affividavit can be used to proof the relationship between her and her guardian?

Let the money be transferred into her account, the guardian thing doesn't cut it

I'm confuse mehn! Need your help, and if I put the tax clearance of 3 years back and my cac certificate shows that my business is registered in 25 January 2015 wouldn't that arise suspicion

Pay your tax from the date you registered your company.

Morning. I get it now. I think the major thing is to be confident and calm. dont give any reason for a POE officer to doubt you, get your facts together and pray well. I've not had issues in some other countries, i guess because of God's grace and the fact that I have nothing to hide or lie for. I pray for God's favour for everyone.

Best believe that as long as they have cause to doubt any information you provide, they will search any and everything on you and there's nothing you can do but be pissed off.
It has nothing to do with criminal offenses, they have the right to allow you or not allow you into their country so some of the take that right a bit too literally and misbehave!

i seriously dont get this. Does a POE officer have the right to check through one's things? I've been to other countries by Grace and a POE officer only requests for anything he needs from you. On no occasion has my phone or bag been checked for information. Anyone with key information, please let's know. Maye it's the confidence you show them that matters on this issue or what? @Justwise, any idea?

Sadly they have the right to go through your stuff including your phones, the UK, Australia and US does that.

Not asking for money upfront is normal with hotel reservation.

Yes Mr Wise, I have a personal saving where I save part of my profit but not all of it because sometimes I reinvest my profit in to my business to strengthen it but like I said earlier I use to deposit 200k every month into my personal saving.

By law are you expected to pay tax for a business running less than a year? If yes then do that else get an account to evaluate your business and attach the document to your visa application.

I have just found this forum a couple of days back and read discussion up till page 110, interesting I must confess. But I would love response to my ff questions:

1) I applied for visa B1 B2 in October ''14 with my husband and daughter and was successful. It's a tourist visa and we were meant to visit my sister for her wedding anniversary in November, I did not state i was going to give birth since i was not pregnant and had no such plan then. But unfortunately we were not able to travel cos my husband had biz to do at that time.
2) Now we are planning on travelling in March 2015(a couple of weeks time from now), and I am also pregnant abt 16weeks now and not too visible. I and my husband has agreed I stay back in the USA and put to bed there and we are ready to pay the hospital bills as i already contacted the hospital at El paso TX and cost breakdown sent to me via email.
3) My plan is to wear a cloth not revealing and since I would be going with my husband we might not have difficulty at POE has we would state we are here for tourism and visiting my sister. My fear is if I am asked at point of entry if I am pregnant and I deny it since its not obvious, what would happen
4) My husband's plan if asked if I am pregnant would be "yes but just 16weeks and no plan to give birth there" (Lied though).

MY PEOPLE PLEASE ADVISE ME WHAT BEST OPTION WE HAVE GOT TO PASS THRU THE POE OR ANY OTHER THING I AM SUPPOSE TO DO HERE IN NAIJA BEFORE EMBARKING ON THIS JORNEY. GOD BLESS YOU IN ANTICIPATION

Bad idea, it will all end in tears, you are giving immigration officers at POE more reasons to treat Nigerian pregnant women with no respect.

Use the visa for the holiday first, come back to Nigeria then go back later for your baby delivery.

Hello all a quick question my wife is about to apply for spouse visa but her passport is in her maiden name does she have to change the name on her passport to reflect my name ?or can we apply with the passport that bears her former name and back it up with our marriage cert .

Let her get another passport that will reflect her married status.....it makes things a lot easier.

You should be happy that they did not ask for money upfront just in case if you don't get the visa.

Not asking for money upfront is normal with hotel reservation.
