Bambamzzzz: @ justwise i have been searching for where that was found but still cant get it but will post it here as soon as i find it, and if you can remember that there was a lady on this trend that also said her kids visa was refused and hers was granted and the reason the ECO gave her was because her spouse did not apply with them.

I pretty much doubt that, only if there was no arrangement made for the kids...things like child care, nanny etc

Bambamzzzz: @ kemkem30 if you are applying with yur kids then your spouse need to apply with you or else they will just grant only your visa and refused the kids please take note of this nformation
I'm not sure that is entirely true or do you have any official link to back that statement up?

binhozie: Please does inter-school transfer work in the uk?

Like can I use my first year credits and transfer to another university in my second year?

University Of East London is really at the bottom of the rankings (121/122) and a lot of negative reviews about the place so I wish to transfer after my first year

I hope this will be possible?

Cc justwise
That is possible, some schools allows it while some don't, you need to find out from your department first.

I understand that, like somebody pointed out before that its difficult to strike a balance between those who are here to market and those who genuinely trying to help with info they have. I know some people have good intentions but may come across the other way round.

735i: Okay..Thanks a lot. One last question please;
Would i encounter the same challenges with entry if i decided to visit Nigeria instead? I mean; give the circumstances i mentioned earlier...
Not really, i know some friends who did just that after their dissertation and still return back to the UK, some were questioned at the POE and they said they were coming back to pick their stuff....result, look for possibility of doing Phd etc and were allowed in.

dsaynt: Hahahahahahahaha......I like that statement....Logged in but not here. The guy no be wintchi o! But e dey try sha. Kudos to u.
I'm pretty sure it ain't easy moderating a forum as intense like this...cos this is something we are all passionate about. Our families.

Exactly my point....i mean i'm not married but it worries me when people come in here to drop contact details of some doctors, anybody can claim to be a doctor but not all doctors are good especially when online check failed to review any profile of that doctor, this is about the life of somebody's wife and unborn baby and should not be experimented with.

Sometimes cheap and cheerful deals are not always the real deal

735i: I did ask them and they said it shouldn't be an issue. But i haven't paid though. I'm just wondering why it should matter. My UK visa says; multiple entry.
Yes it's multiple entry but you timed your travel wrongly, it's always good to travel when you are still an active student using your studies as a tie but since they said it's not an issue then you will be fine, just printout the email exchange between you and them just in case you are stopped and asked why you decided to get your visa from Nigeria and not from the UK.
Travel › Re: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by justwise(mod): 12:33pm On Sep 11, 2014
735i: Because the VFS agency in UK says; my UK Visa must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
Meanwhile, the agency processing it in Nigeria says i can get the VISA irrespective of the validity period of my UK visa.
Please before you pay for the visa from Nigeria find out from them if visa by proxy is allowed since you be traveling from the UK and returning back to the UK. That may be an issue when you are trying to re-enter the UK.

735i: LOL…Nice one… Didn't know you're coming to Medway…it's not too far from where i am. If you play enter Canterbury…Holla me!!

@ Justwise; I need your opinion;
My Tier 4 Visa (multiple entry) expires in January 2015 and my MSc programme ends on the 20th of this month. I want to visit Dubai for about 14 days and come back to the UK. However, as at the time i would be returning to the UK, my programme would have ended officially.
I'm processing my Dubai Tourist Visa from Nigeria. My question is; will i be allowed back into the UK given the fact that my programme would have ended by the time of my return?
Why are you proceeding it from Nigeria while you are in the UK?

I'm afraid you may have to travel without her and invite her after settling down. She can apply for visiting visa then.

nkkystel: Pls Justwise, who should apply my husband or myself. His bank account is that of US and not Nigeria.
Thank you!
You need to apply for your visa in Nigeria, it doesn't matter if his bank statement is that of US, he is the sponsor and traveling with you.

pholareen1: So, as suggested to go to the Teleperformance office. I did today without receiving any mail. Lo and behold, my package was already there with them. Approved!

By the way for those who are still waiting, I applied on the 13th of August, got no mail from them but just decided to go there today since I am in Lagos. Today makes it 19th working day, fair enough on my part compared to some others.

And if by any chance anyone here is going to University College London (UCL), that is where I'm headed!

All the best.
Congratulations!

LazzyH: Thanks once more.
@ justwise...
How much do I need or what is the minimum amount of money do I need to have on my personal account to apply, assuming I work for my company and do I tender a salary account statement and a savings account statement too. I want to believe its thesame cos I do not have a savings account other than my salary current account.
I transfered a million from my company account into my salary account simply for this purpose.

Sorry for the continuous probe. I am curious and need to be well informed.

justwise: You also need to write a breakdown of how much the trip will cost you.
Transferring money from your business account to salary account because of this trip is not going to do your application any good. Money in your other account supposed to be your profit from the business and not your business capital transferred purposely for the trip.

The point is this...this trip should not affect the running of your business financially, you should be able to proof that you can afford to visit the UK from your savings without touching your actual business capital.

The problem you have now is that you don't have tax certificate because that piece of document will state your gross and net profit.

Make a budget of how much this trip will cost you then that will help you determine how much to feel in the form.

Jehovahshalom: @justwise,please I need your contribution on what I need to do,I apply for tier 4 general student visa for myself and tier 4 dependent partner for my wife...my own visa is granted while my wife own is refused...reason for refusal is because my course of study is not post graduate level but HND level, though it is 12 month in length ,and we are been given full right of appeal if we are not sastify with their decision before 28 days
Sadly that is the rule, you need to be studying a course at level 7 lasting 12 months or above to be able to bring your family, HND is level 4/5.

Yes you can apply from Nigeria with his bank statement though you need to explain that he will be traveling with you.

LazzyH: I would like to visit my brother and my cousin @ southampton & cambridge and i am not working at the moment but have a small company(Business) that I manage. Please educate me on how to go about getting a visitors visa or the best way to go about applying. I intend visiting for a week or 2 and how much do I need to have on my account + I just registered my company August. Do I use my company accnt or my personal account. I do not want to be addressed as a business owner. What doc would I ask for from any of my brothers can both of them invite me? And my staying der for 2weeks will give me enough time to do a 4days crash course on offshore drilling as that use to be my old profession. There are some other info I can not expose here and I will very much like to share these info so it would better help you to give me the best advice... Thank you very much... I am wondering how I am going to know wen you reply on naira land. It took me days to figure out how to write you here... May God bless yoou. Thanks...
Your tie to Nigeria matters a lot and being a business owner gives you more advantage but your business has to be a healthy one that will persuade you to come back to Nigeria if given a visa. Since you just registered the business you are not expected to have tax certificate.

You need to submit both bank statements but your spending budget has to come from your personal account, your business account will only act as your tie to Nigeria.
They both can invite you, send you proof of accommodation and you make a list of things you tend to do in the UK.

You also need to write a breakdown of how much the trip will cost you, forget about mentioning the 4days course because that will not help your application.
