Chinom: It appears you do not know the difference between Classes, Tribes, and RACES. It's regrettable to see you mix up racism with tribalism. Until you can tell the difference and the level of PAIN associated with each practise, it's pointless going further with this debate. The closest term to racism in Nigerian content is tribalism as a Nigerian can not be racist to another Nigerian but can show deep tribal behaviors as seen here in nairaland. Non is more painful than the other, a white man may not like you because you are black just as yoruba/igbo or hausa man will hate because you are not from his tribe, they are closely related. You obviously got no point hence bringing race into this topic. |
Chinom: UK is the founder, originator and creator of Class distinction. I'm talking about England before the white man ever knew Africa existed. 1st and 2nd class citizens exist in all cultures since the begining of mankind. But, please do not confuse class distinction with RACISM. In the West, lower class whites still consider themselves better than Upper class blacks. I'm sure you've heard this phrase before " i may be poor, but thank God i a'int no Nigger ". I have seen White beggers refuse to accept money from a Blackman. Please stop jumping in and out of frying pan, you are just muddling issues here. Its called racism in the west, in Nigeria is tribalism, so the three major tribes in the Nigeria hugs and exchange flowers? Igbo or Yoruba man can move to North and live happily? Don't give me that shabby social analyses because it doesn't hold water. How much does blacks love each other in London? What is the percentage of black on black shooting and knife killings as compare to white on white? |
superior1: @Justwise,Vicjustice. I have a 6months multiple entry UK visa that will expire ending September but I intend travelling 1st week in October. Can I apply for renewal without waiting for the current one to expire?Since you are going by Oct...yes you can apply for renewer. |
Saintp: @ Justwise,Have you tried to schedule an appointment and was refused? Since you were given a number to do that then go ahead. |
Folafad: @Justwise,johnwray and girlfio and all forum, pls my problem is dat in all my Applications i stated i did not have any body in uk as friend or family member.my prob now is dat i have a friend and a family member who want to give me invitation and neccessary Document,so i dont know if dat will be hold against me,becos have already stated i did not have anybody b4.pls really need ur advice. It will definitely affect your application, you have stated in your previous application that u got nobody in the UK and suddenly you are changing your story. Post this inqury here https://www.nairaland.com/823855/general-uk-visa-enquiries-part This thread is not the appropriate one for it |
Chinom: Bla,bla,bla...balderdash. How many times have we not heard and read such trash from complete LOSERS who cannot afford to return to our beloved Naija. People who are content to play second fiddle and settle for less. Lazy bones, who cannot hustle in Naija knowing fully well that they can always collect the dole ( welfare cheques) if all things fail.Is funny when Nigerians say that as if Nigerians are treated as first class citizens in Nigeria. People who are entitled to dole in the UK can claim it because their govt cares for them and will feed them, can Nigeria govt do that? |
Blower46: My wife's application was also granted yesterday after a 2nd fresh application. Thanks for all the advice I have been reading on here since the start of January. windseeker: I had been really anxious reading this forum but I'm happy to say my spouse visa has been issued, which is such a massive relief. Best of luck to Ebeano and others on your appeal.Congratulations!! |
mastersr95: Age doesnt have anything to do with this... The truth is if you are ''RICH'' you wont have time to be on here posting topics unless you are a blogger or something like that. Take it or leave thats just the truth.Asked about your age because you are sounding like a teenager, not only bloggers who spend time online, a lot of people spend majority of their working time online. How many hours will it take such person to reply a post? logging on here does not mean that the person is seating in front of his or her desktop at home posting. People who do night-shift can spend a lot of time online during the day and still make millions a year in naira equivalent. |
mastersr95: Ofcourse thats not what i'm saying... But common we are all Nigerians if this guy truly make millions like he claim with a genuine job, his not going to be on here posting topics.Sorry what is your age range? |
mastersr95: Lool i'm actually laughing right now, The reason why i comment on your post is because i know people like you. I have alot of liars like you in uk. i make thousand of pounds in a week but i can honestly tell you is the source of the money. i know few people that are contractors and are living fine, but i know hundreds of people that go overdraft before the next payday. That is really primitive view, so people who spend time online got no job? or earn little? |
masperano: just wise I just submitted my application today but dey only demanded my originals certificates I was not asked for photocopy am a bit worried hope it wont affect my application. your swift response will be appreciated. They will return your original documents, not asking for photocopies will not affect your application |
@mastersr95 There is no need for insults, your post is hidden because of that. |
hash0017: Anglia ruskin universityThat is good, contact the BHC now and see what they will say |
devour129: it's sad ! Why would you stay where you are not appreciated ? Can you be your best in that environment ? They say every other place in the world are better than Nigeria but a lot of us still succeed here. devour129: tell me how ? Because am sure everyone one sees the elephant from a diff view pointWhat has the topic got to do with appreciation? He was not appreciated by who? |
greatest man: their is no place to stay like Nigeria so many opportunities and couple with respect. nothing exist like racism I love naija we gonna make it hereYou must be making a wish list there. so many opportunities and respect in Nigeria? |
devour129: it's sad ! Why would you stay where you are not appreciated ? Can you be your best in that environment ?They say every other place in the world are better than Nigeria but a lot of us still succeed here. That got nothing to do with the topic |
Folafad: @girlfio just wise and others.i send message to you and you guys did not reply.i said can i use my daughter to get my visa? i want to renew her visa Your visa application will be treated on its merit. Even if you applied together with your daughter she could be issued a visa and you will be refused. |
bubblygirl78: Hello all.Yes you can have both going on |
Dude, his visa might not be fake? That's why he wants to get it verified. $30 doesn't get him a Korean visa without a korean guarantor to provide the necessary documents :tax clearance, signed guarantee form, employment history, publicly notarized invitation, ID copy etc. All forgeries are not pointless and useless, because many have used them to board planes and seek "aduro" on arrival. Is right or wrong? Well, ask them dudes who used ''em in early 90's to Japan, Europe and America, chop "aduro", now either permanent resident or citizen. What are you going on about fraud? Having someone at embassy check if visa is valid or not is fraud? Please! Having someone in jamb/waec check your result is fraud? Well, the truth is there are visa agents. Some help you get a valid visa for a fee, some put a fake visa for a fee. Op has a korean visa in his passport. We don't know if his visa is valid. Op doesn't know if visa is valid. He paid for the visa. He wants to travel out of Nigeria. What does he do?
Must one travel out of Nigeria if you don't meet visa requirements? If he can't meet Korea visa requirements then he should look elsewhere. Did you just say 90s? How can you compare decades ago to present day? Yes its fraudulent to approach some 'guys' at the embassy and pay them to check the validity of your visa 'unofficially' |
zoe iyke: @ sunny Thanks broAsk the question in the link provided. |
Dude, someone sold this guy a Korean visa with his name and passport number on it, and, as I assume, valid for 90 days. Now he wants to know if the visa is fake or real. All Korean visas have the same generic watermark, hologram prints, and stencil prints on them. So forgers won't bother these features. If that visa is fake, then all the forgers did were to clean the names, passport number and issue/expiry date of a used Korean visa, and type the op's passport data onto the cleaned visa leaving the visa number intact. It's simple! Thats how it's done in TBS. When I mean "clean" don't think of photoshop gimmicks. They phyically clean the typing on the used visa and retype on it with new data. If you put it under mercury light, it will pass. But how they detect this reprints is with a magnifying glass to check the prints, or at port of entry when they put the visa number in the system.
That just means all the forgeries and cleaning are just pointless and silly, if the holder can still be caught at the airport.
Well, only at the Korean embassy and at port entry can he check the visa number validity. Since I am neither a hacker, nor with access to embassy database, the best I can suggest is going through the guys working there to check if he has a visa application file. They keep mOst the visa application files. At the consulate in banana island, they have huge stacks of applicants file at the reception room. Nigerians are working at the reception area. They can help him check unofficially.
That is exactly why its difficult for some Nigerians to get a job in the position of trust, we always look for away to by-pass legitimate system. The whole thing is ridiculous, why would anybody buy forged visa then pay some fraudulent individuals at the embassy to 'check' it unofficially while applying directly to Korean embassy cost as little as $30? |
Visman: Recently i have read from various sources on the internet that the US DIVERSITY PROGRAM also known as GREEN CARD VISA LOTTERY has been cancelled by the US government as a result of pressures from the congress insisting that the program does not seem to bring the best skilled personnel needed to grow the US economy. If this is true, what is now the fate of millions of young nigerians whose best chance of making it abroad is through the LOTTERY?. Visman: read d post very well, its a question i wanna know cuz i read them on the internet if any other person saw it also. You said you recently read about the cancellation from sources online and i asked you where. |
Ladapo: I am trying to convince a friend who has a well paying job in naija not to relocate as the grass is not always greener on the other side but the guy won't hear any of my reasoning..this guy earns about N 150k per month and just got a student visa to Canada. What would you suggest?I will take the student visa to Canada, part time work will earn him 150k equivalent a month. |
My friend, it's not about the security features. All forgers have to do is use old/ used visa, clean the name, issue and expiry date, re-type op's data on the used visa as a new one. But where they will have a problem is typing Korean fonts. That's what I want to check, if they scanned it or they typed it. Secondly from the visa number (which is not typed), it's possible to know when it was issued. Typical visa number NJ8006167 - visa issued in 2008.. If all these checks and others pass, he could then go to the consulate. Simple!
You still don't get it, if the forgers clean the name and the expiry date, how about the visa number and the water mark? Will the forger be able to change all that? Go to the consulate to do what exactly? |
A copy of the visa, just to compare with the ones in my passport; check the remarks (mostly written in Korean). If the sticker is the same with what I have in passport, he could further verify the visa by visiting the consulate. @ op. read the pidgin english part of my post.
So from the photocopy you will be able to see even the security features? |
