ujchief: My cousin approached me for an advice. I couldn't help much so I decided to post it here so you guys can advice him.

Your honest input is needed. The said Mr X link is authentic as he lived in the same street with my cousin before traveling and has successfully brought his younger brother and 2 other guys over to dubai that my cousin is aware of.

Thanks.
If you have this glorious testimony about that Mr X why are you here asking for opinion? Why not ask your cousin to go ahead with it?

tollu: Milked? I came up with that thread and the idea never even took off, no funds or anything collected from anybody. Just went through the thread again and someone mentioned VIP Express scamming them. That is just the name of a company, just like anyone saying wakanow scammed them.
Please read through properly. No one scammed anyone based on the idea.

@OP
Cool idea. I'm down. let's hope, unlike me, you would have time to get things off the ground though. Cheers
Sadly you created the opportunity while some bogus members here took advantage of that.

Yours started just like this one, a lot of interest but that was just about it

holladapooo: Justwise please kindly shed more light on this.
Thanks.
spikes C: UKBA accepts waec, they just don't see Nigeria as an English speaking country.

The schools are told to confirm your English proficiency, so it's left for them to accept your WAEC/NECO or ask you to take IELTS.

Uni. Of Derby, collects letter from your Nigerian school which should state that they teach in English.

@Justwise

can you please start a thread on "giving birth in Canada and it's requirements"? You know if it is THE US I wont bother....reason? You know I don't like that country. Canada is one country I love amongst a few. smiley

Will consider that.

FrontPageLawyer: Sorry to bother you again, but truly I don't want to make another mistake. @ the bolded.

I understand I have to address the issue of the passport. No problem, I will do that in the additional information space.

does that mean I have to write a separate application letter addressed to the consulate? I thought it was just the online application.

is the application to be attached to the print out of the online application form after it is signed?

Recently I have made a lot of withdrawals from my dom and current account, No problem I am ready to explain that to the ECO with paper evidence.

Can I also state in the additional information space that during my visit, I will buy from a company musical equipment and lighting for my bar? is it appropriate for a visitor's visa or can I only do that for a business visa?

Thank you.
The application process is done online and offline, you submit online and offline. When you submit online you will be given a date when you will visit their centre to submit the hardcopy of the online application with other documents.

If you want to buy one piece of music equipment and lighting then fan but buying things in large quantity will arise suspicion, you don't need to add that in your application form

FrontPageLawyer: You're richly blessed Justwise. For question 7. the other kid has no passport, but it seems it's compulsory to fill in something in the field, it can be left empty, keeps returning, maybe i'm not doing something right there.
Vicjustice: That is a flaw in the online application system, you can't proceed until you fill in something in the box, so it understandable if you enter any invalid detail just to allow you to proceed with the form... But remember to explain it in the as ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. Trust me, the visa officers are aware of the problem: I talk from experience, you won't have a problem with that
Vicjustice is right, you can also try putting the same passport number in the box just to move forward then after submission printout the application form and sign it, not forgetting to make a note of the passport detail issue in the hardcopy application form or use separate then attach it to your application form.

FrontPageLawyer: Good day. I don't mean to bore you with these trivial questions, but it is important " information is power" The questions are logical, not that I am dull, but I need expert judgment. Applying next week for a visitor's visa (general visitor). I have gone through the online form and I have little problem as regard filling the form.

4. What is the cost to you personally of your stay in the United Kingdom? should I sum hotel accommodation, flight, feeding, transport and shopping?

5. You stated that you have savings‚ property or income. Please give details and state which currency e.g. US Dollars or UK Pounds Sterling. Should I sum balance in my current account, domiciliary, fixed deposit and give figure e.g 10,000$?
its a good idea, the problem as always, remains the extremely high number of scammers, 419ers and otherwise unsavoury characters who are always on the lookout for potential victims.

its not the type of trip that should be taken with random strangers, you dont know their reason for organizing such.

in developed countries, it might be less risky, but in nigeria, unless there's a guarantee in the form of long acquaintance or something (dunno, since even that isnt foolproof), not too advisable.

however, to each his own.
Spot on! Hope this will not be one of those , each time somebody start a thread like this some dodgy characters turn-up to show interest, months later it ends in tears.

like do i apply online or in person??
The process of applying has been repeated far too many times here, just reading a few page back is enough, its not good to keep writing the same thing every page. Even in this very page the process was mentioned.
