If it will affect the traffic that brings in the 'ounje oojo' abeg, make we leave am like that!!. We just have to be serious with issues and not affect prospective students with foul discussion here. Not possible, a good number of registered members here with numerous IDs are visa/travel agents pretending to be genuine applicants. You can't stop pple from reading

Ricky Rozay: How true is this, Pls can you post a link, so we can read the guy's post on the dv lottery section of Nairaland.

I guess if this is true and this truely happened at the Embassy, then i guess the VO got to know through the guys email address which he used to register on Nairaland. Because that same email address he used for nairaland will have also been used to fill DS 160 form and other US visa application forms which made dem track him down...
I guess they extracted it from Nairaland.. I guess u guys now get the scope..

If this is Really True, I will say there is No need for everyone to start panicking because I can see u all are beginning to get very nervous..

We will still get the Visa.. I dnt knw when it has become a crime to join an educative forum like Nairaland. If it is a crime, den let the VOs call the cops.. Lol

The only thing we need to do is to be security conscious. Be Mindful of whatever you post here and always take note of your email address.

Your email address is the only tool which I know they might use to identify your true identity here. So be careful guys...

And also watch what u post on a Public forum like nairaland..

I'm not so surprised that the VO knws Nairaland, becos sometime ago, I went for the British Education Fair in Eko Hotel and suites, and an admission officer from University of Greenwich UK, told me he knows Nairaland and he recommended nairaland to me and said I could get useful info from dis site. I was so surprised dt day ooooo...

So, if you have anytin personal to say, which u know might not be cool to display on here, please request for someone's contact here and contact the person privately either thru emails, yahoo messenger, BBM e.t.c and discuss issues dere.

But that doesn't mean u guys should just abandon Nairaland oooo. We still need you to discuss issues here so others can learn from it as well.

ONLY if you have something veryyy Personal to ask, I repeat again, veryyy personal to ask, then I will advice you do that privately.. But any other things can be posted here..

It's not everytin you can put on here...Becos most of this tricks and strategies for US student visa you guys are using here is beginning to get too overlapped and no longer effective anymore at the Embassy.

The annoying thing Is that some peeps and Agents who are not even a member of this forum and don't even have any Nairaland ID here will just be reading dis our tricks and strategies and enjoyin the fruit of our labour here.. Lol!!!! Seriously..

Cheers to you all!!!!!!!
People who need to worry are those who are looking for a way to cheat the system, those using fake documents.

Genuine students got nothing to worry about, nairaland is a raw info depot, this is the true morrow of Nigeria. Any embassy will be interested to monitor activities here just like facebook.

There is nothing like privacy online.

hi,im wondering not having decision at the end of my oral hearing of my wife visa appeal on the 24th june,is that bad indication,or thats normal, thanks.i havent receive any reply uptill now.
Not in all cases that the judge will tell you straight way that you have won, if he needs to make further inquiry then you will not get decision immediately. Wait until you hear from them, i know its not easy to wait.

spazio: Justwise, i am having a hard time convincing my uncle to transfer the living costs into my account.i am toally confused and was told if that is the case,it better i ask him to swear an affidavit and provide other documents to show he is my legal guardian.i am confused and don't know what to do.Pls justwise, can you pls advise me whether to use the option being proposed by colleagues and how do i go about it ??

Thank you
Your uncle is not ready to sponsor you yet, if he really want to sponsor you then putting the money in your account should not be a problem.

The process of legal guardian is not just the issue of affidavit, anybody can get that and claim legal guardian, it will look suspicious that you decided to get those legal papers now you want to apply for visa.

James121: Nairalanders, JustWise, I hail una ooo. I just got admission into UCL London but the fees are out of this world. Please which scholarship can I apply for to be able to resume in October. Also is there anyone that has studied, is studying or that is a prospective UCL student
Scholarships are not readily available anymore, home students are the propriety now as economy bites hard.

Look for cheaper school according to your budget, UCL is an expensive school, you may give scholarship interns of fees reduction when you are paying full.

Kollingz or so, asking about living in Swansea. Well, you can let him know that its better for him to stay off campus as it is out-rightly cheaper, having lived here for the past 18 months. He can get more information on private accommodation on Zoopla, or simply send me an e-mail. vansa.126170@students.smu.ac.uk

albuquerque: He's extremely rude........if you want a straightforward answer you re better off asking Justwise.......He ll answer you with respect at least. I noticed this with several of his responses to other ppl over time and not just yours
Please can we give this a rest? We are not perfect here, surely we do make mistakes but i doubt any one of us deliberately want to insult people. When any of us sound rude in our replies you can politely point that out without going off rail.

Vicjustice has been extremely helpful here, he started helping people even before i joined nairaland, if you found his post rude then explain that to him and he will apologize as i have seen him do in the past.

Please we are all volunteers here and sometimes we don't get it right but we are doing it with right intentions, i will feel bad if a single incident is blown out of proportion over shadowing all the efforts made in the past to help.

gabbytabby: You can be supported by your husband/family the immigration rules allows this. I argued this point some years back and the family member was issued a visa without the need to go to appeal.
With spouse visa application is either the wife earns the 18.600 pounds a yr or the husband, no family member can support their application financially

Ebeano49: Unfortunately for us my wife's application was refused!

Reasons:

1 - She didn't include the original marriage certificate; she submitted a photocopy.

2 - We didn't include all past 6 months payslips. (Incidently they retunred the application pack and right in there are my 12 payslips AND P60).

3 - We didn't include 'enough' evidence of contact. (I was only able to retrieve 3 months chat history from whatsapp and few Skype conversations. I mainly do Skype video calls with my wife and Viber voice call when data connection is too poor for skype, not quite sure how to retrieve 'enough' evidence right now).

I am too tired and dejected now... don't know what to think/do!

@ Justwise and all,

I have asked for the rejection pack to be sent to me so I can submit an appeal from here myself. Hope that's OK? Does she have to submit the appeal herself?
girlfio: So sorry to hear about your refusal, this whole system is just so frustrating.

Now, I would have thought that it would be a lot quicker for the UK sponsor to submit the appeal in the UK since that's where all the documents are going to go anyway. I'm sure someone will speak up if I'm wrong about that.

I know its difficult right now to think about what you have to do next but the best place to start is in producing the documents that will satisfy each of the points raised by the ECO. Source the original marriage certificate. Provide the 6 month payslips [again!] but this time if you can arrange for them to be signed by a senior manager at the place of work and accompanied by a letter on headed paper from your HR department stating that they are authentic. I had to do the same for mine because my payslips were refused cause they didn't have the name of where I work on them [ridiculous!]. In terms of proving your relationship, this will be where you want to get as much evidence as you can showing consistent communications. I'm sure you can upload your whatsapp conversations on to your PC, it might even be worth printing these off.

I'm trusting God that He will make the way ahead clear for you.
Sorry to hear about your refusal, girlfio said it all, you can submit the appeal from the UK, just like others in this forum have done in the past.

Please take your time and put together those documents like girlfio pointed out and then write your appeal addressing every single point raised by the ECO.

spazio: Justwise, i have an uncle, who happens to be my guardian and is willing to sponsor me.i am actually using his statement to apply for my visa. Can you pls advise what sort of documents i need to put it in to show he is my legal guardianhuh

Hope to hear from you soon
kem000: Another question please, a friend of mine wants to know if her uncle's wife who has been taking care of her since childhood sponsor her for her masters as she already has admission and the woman is ready to sponsor her because her uncle is late.
nanie89: You can only use your biological parents bank statement to apply with the back up of your birth certificate showing that they are your parents. Your uncle can't be your sponsor,he should transfer the money into your personal bank account and then you leave it in there for 28 days. It is either your account or your biological parents. Hope this helps
presiade: It is allowed for 'LEGAL' Guardian to sponsor a student. It however means you have to go to court to register him as your guardian and you have to do some notarisation I think.... But the best is let him transfer the money into your account to avoid all the stress

@kem000 & spazio

Those are your answers there.
Travel › Re: Foreigners To Be Charged To Access UK's NHS by justwise(mod): 2:52pm On Jul 04, 2013
shallow minded is the person who goes to a foreign land and expects to be treated the same way as citizens. It's common sense by making foreigners apart from asylum seekers pay the NHS charges it lessens the burden of taxpayers. It reduces the number of people that will depend on free medical care and it will reduce the number of health tourists that come in for the purposes of getting free medical care services. The NHS has been abused hence they decided to introduce a new policy that will be in favour of their economy more than it is for outsiders. When u are discriminated against because u so believe in figuring out the best way to exploit their economy, u start making noise about how u are hated. It's sad u even have to boast abt it in the post I quoted undecided if u have problems with England doing what's best their budget more than it is in favour of outsiders like you, why don't u move elsewhere. It's as simple as that
This is funny, what a plonker you are, listen..this policy will not work and very soon they back off like every other headline intended policies they have come up with recently.

People on 6months tourist visa don't need to pay the 200 and they are free to use the NHS, EU nationals can come in and use it as much as they want and go without paying the 200.

So at the end this policy will not save jack for the govt because the targeted group is so negligent.

Nobody is asking for free stuff from your govt, don't charge people for what they did not use, let people pay per use.

Charge me if i want to use NHS, don't make me pay for service i don't use. I don't want to pay for job shy benefit career claimers, junkies and binge drinkers who got flattered all weekends and keep ambulance busy all day

Who want to be treated the same in foreign land? This is coming from somebody who her govt ruined countries around the world, British colonised more countries on earth than any other country ever.

Where did they apply for visa when they were busying invading and loathing countries around the world?
then you complain that some of you are hated for nothing undecided
Hatred by some closed minded British like you is nothing new, asylum seekers are not breaking the law by claiming what they are entitled to by your own law.

I feel sorry for EDL-minded people like you because you are in minority.

Keep living in your dark corner with BNP mindset, people like you are being isolated on daily bases and if you think foreigners will stop coming here because policies like this then think again, there are enough loopholes for they to exploit

honey86: What happens to people who don't make use of hospitals, for example, I've been here for almost 10 months and I haven't visited the hospital once even though I'm entitled to free medical care. If I am now forced to pay this money, wouldn't that be a bad investment for me. Also foreign students pay double of what home students pay, why should they pay extra.
Exactly!! Thats my point!!
