List of how I think X-Factor finalists would be successful in order:

Cher - Everyone want's her, Jay-Z has promised her a successful career with a debut album that will feature him, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Will.I.Am. . I see her being very big in the U.S

Rebecca - Think Susan Boyle's success, Susan Boyle was also runner up in Britain's Got Talent. Rebecca has a great recording voice, and I see her doing a lot of cover songs. She would sell millions, but would probably not have tours. I also see her being big in the U.S

One Direction - Probably have a good career. . in the UK, don't see them being as big as JLS though. They would of course have a huge fan base of tween girls.

Matt - I honestly don't see this guy being big, as someone said he would take months to record an album, which would be mediorce at best. . . then he'll fizzle away. I yawn thinking about this dude.
TV/MoviesThe Tourist (Angelina Jolie & Johnny Deep) Flops ! by kadman(op): 5:40pm On Dec 13, 2010
Depp and Jolie suffer box office failure

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie have suffered their worst US box office performance in years.

The pair star in romantic thriller 'The Tourist', which sees Depp's everyday man becoming embroiled in a spy caper with Jolie's mysterious character.
However, film critics and audiences have been less than enthusiastic about the movie, which saw a disappointing opening weekend in the US, raking in just £10.8 million, landing it the number two spot behind the latest 'Narnia' film which also underachieved at the box office this weekend.
It marks the pair's worst film opening in the US for years. Jolie's critically acclaimed violent war thriller 'A Mighty Heart' failed to find mass-appeal in 2007 with £2.4 million, while Depp suffered a box office flop with Jack the Ripper thriller 'From Hell', earning £7m in 2001.

By comparison Robert Downey Jr.’s latest film 'Due Date' opened with £20.7m a few weeks ago, despite failing to please the critics either.
It’s a surprising flop for the A-list pair who would have expected their joint Hollywood power to earn them more film fans, but they shouldn’t worry just yet. Depp’s fantasy film 'Alice in Wonderland' was a huge hit earlier this year, while Jolie's recent thriller 'Salt' enjoyed decent numbers in the US.
'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' debuted at number one, while 'Tangled’ rounded out the US top three.

Combined performances were all awful. I'm a Christina die hard fan, but her voice and Rebecca's are much different and didn't mesh well together

Love Rihanna too but apart from the Jamo hip shaking thingy, she's really not a good perfomer. Look at the part where they removing her robe, she could not concentrate on her singing and went seriously off key  shocked also lacks stage presence.

Ell, this is a useful thread and very relevant to me !

I get through the first round of applications, but have been failing my SHL numerical tests for graduate roles. The same case with most of my friends. Although the ones with more experience have been able to secure non-graduate roles. You're so right about the Jews e.t.c helping themselves, let me not even start about that. I would send you an email, and would tell a few of my friends. Thanks !

Bawo, we only bantered once when I quoted you on a thread. But I would remember how open minded you were, and your live-and-let live approach to life. You were so non judgemental. Every time there was an anti gay thread and I wanted to respond with arguments, I never had to because you had probably already said all I had in mind much better than I ever could. You were an articulate man.

Your death has made me question how I want to live my life. It has made me realise how silly it is to think that because the internet is anonymous one can hide behind a computer and spew garbage, when one can touch lives like you obviously did. I want to live how I would like to be remembered, if not for myself but for my family and friends. . . . . RIP

I don't think buzugee is derailing the thread, he provides answers to our frustration with the neighbours and Afro American culture. I am finding his input very insightful. TV/MoviesRe: What Series Are You Watching Now? by kadman(m): 8:51pm On Dec 03, 2010
Thanks for the suggestions, I would start downloading most of what you recommended, except

HOUSE: watched Greys Anatomy, Scrubs, and just can't do medical again
90210: Compared to the original one, it fails miserably.
Weeds: Love it ! Seen it to the season finale !
Entourage: Would start again, stopped in season 3 I think.

Thanks !

Men, I'm watching Mad Men and it's painfully boring. I've been crying hot salt yawn tears. This is the one of the few times NL failed me.

Please you guys save me from death by boredom and recommend a VERY good series. I've watched and follow most, so . .

P.S should I watch The Wire ? I watched Oz and loved it, but don't want to watch the same thing.

I'm very disappionted with what I'm hearing about the attitute of health workers in Nigeria, like seriously WTF !

Well, I've always been enlightened about HIV but was always too scared to do mine. The one time my cousin who is a doctor in USA came back home and brought some self-testing HIV kit, he gave me about 3. Men I went in my room one day, locked myself up and used one. It came out Negative, I did a second one immidately was the same. grin

@ sarcastic people saying no one wants to confess to having HIV Nairaland, don't be stupid. .would this be the place a positive person would relieve their experience ? Besides there's a whole thread on Nairaland with positive people giving support to each other the way it should be.

CelebritiesRe: Video: Genevieve Nnaji And Omotola Jalade Ekeinde Interview by kadman(m): 10:15pm On Nov 26, 2010
Genevieve Nnaji is a true star ! Look at how she plays with the camera, how she's laid back, and the confidence oozing from Ms Nnaji. She's so articulate, I'm glad to see a Nigerian actress talking without dropping "you know" between each lines.
And her look; hair on point and liking her "chic casual".

Omotola, you might want to lift light weights in the gym to tone your somewhat flabby arms, or stoping wearing sleeveless tops. wink
