1. If you are travelling with a nanny/housegirl/maid etc. Do a contract between you and the nanny/housegirl/maid, print and sign. I know its rare for people to travel with their nanny/housegirl/maid but its asked for, to ensure he/she is not being 'enslaved'.

2. If you are travelling with your relative's kid and/or friend's kid, please get a letter of approval from their parents...this tackles the child trafficking concerns.

1. In the form, put your skye bank income.
2. At the interview, mention you earn x with skye bank in addition to y that you earn in your side business.

ayinkala:
Hello Gurus,

Please I need your advice......

*There is a space on the DS-160 form asking me to quote HOW MUCH one earns monthly in local currency (if employed)?

My own case is this, I work with skye bank and I do other side business as well with my registered company. Should I quote monthly income from Skye bank with the amount I am earning from my other business? OR I should just quote my Skye Bank Monthly income?

Please Advise as my interview is Next Week Friday and I need to complete the form and submit before Friday.

Thanks and I do hope to read from you in due course.

A VISA IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT.

Infiosa:
Asking if my travel history are geniuine sound insultive as I have never gone through any agent in my life. I usually read through each country's visa requirement and apply accordingly. Yes, there was mark difference between the las DS160 form and this one but it doesnt's matter. That's my real linkedin profile and it's real not built and I am still stuck to my point that US's VOs grant and deny people at their discretion. It seems you really want to know about my first denial ? It was in 2015 when I was going to write my CCIE practical lab and I decided to write it in San Jose as one of the few centers in the world and it was four us who were preparing for the same exam in the same office. I started the preparating two year before every other person joined when they all saw my determination as the exam is said to be one the most difficult IT exam in the world . one of us chose Brusel in Belgium and the rest of us chose San Jose in US. I slept in the office for four years preparing for the exam. As it was time to write the exam, I applied for US visa first being the first person who was very ready to go and I was denied and ther rest of my colleagues who applied affterwards were granted. It now became worrysome in my office as the exam has been paid for (1600 usd) and one can only reschudeule with additional 500 usd to another location. Rescheduling was not the case but getting another exam seat was then big issue and Cisco was retiring that version (version 3) to version 4. Do u know what that mean ? Automatically I will have to go back and start preparing for the new version for at least another 2 or 3 years. At this point, those with visas to write their exams could not express their happiness and it was five months to the retirement of version 3. I eventually got a seat through an online study Indian colleague who felt I have helped and contributed immensely by solving difficult tasks in the group . I was meant to be first to write the practical lab but i was forced to be the last to write the exam in May 14th 2015 in Bangalore, India . I passed the exam on first attempt and I decided to take my family round the world for their support. Honestly I am not frowning at their denial but their generic reason for denial (214b). My first Irish visa application was denied but reasons highlighted , I appealed and my family and I were granted in less than 2 days . So bro, I read through each country's visa requirement thoroughly.

Yes, I partly agreed with you that the situation is a bit over-pushed by putting my linkedin profile out here which has been corected but I didn’t agree with the letter part. It is said the way it is and just as I have said in the letter to them. I will take my family to Disneyland Paris and focus on my CCDE preparation next year. When I am through with d CCDE , I will then apply for Canadian visiting visa for the family vacation where documents are properly investigated and verified. Thanks anyway for your words and concern.

Less I forget, prior to 2015, I have never applied for any visa appication because I didnt have any reason for traveling. I was then buiding a professional profile so as to earn more and be recognized for professonalism. I can categorically say I have always been handling my stuff.

Regards,

if your boss who is more qualified was refused two times then something is wrong with their process. I think we should call a spade a spade.

Better. A VISA IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT. If they don't give you, go to where you are given.

Infiosa:
Thanks bro for seeing it from my own angle. I have decided to take them to Disneyland Paris in France. I am sure it will be more fun as they will be to see other European countries.

A VISA IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT.
kay50:
@ infiosa you are very correct alot is wrong with their system indeed I was refused this month too after two refusals with good job, travel history and all their so called ties. So you just wondered what is the problem again. I read your script and that suppose to earn you the visa without any hassle but those vo prefers to give the visa to applicants with cooked up stories, documents and intentions. They only use thumb of rule in taking decisions on applications without any reasonable verification on individuals.

The immigration law gives them that discretion. Their country, their rules.

Hi all....our transcript., 10:45am, 02/02/18, Lagos (me, wiffy and and our 2 children 6(son) and 4 (daughter) I was denied in 2015 based on 214b and it was unbelievable.

Vo- Good morning waving at my children
Us- Good morning.
Vo- why and where are u going to the US
Me- We are going to New York City for family vacation
vo- why New York?
Me - I said that from the research I have been made to know that it's one of the finest tourist centers in the world.
Vo- ok, and what d u do?
Me- I am a senior IP Design Specialist with xyz Telecom and I wanted to explain further but she stopped me
Vo- ma, what do u do?
Wife - Homemaker
Vo- have u traveled out of the country before
me - Yes, I have traveled to India 2015, Belgium and Netherland in 2016 and My family and I also traveled to the UK
the same year, I was in Dubai in 2017 for self-sponsored training and I just returned from the UK and Ireland trip 2 weeks ago.
Vo - She asked again if we have traveled together as a family
Both of us- yes. December 2016
Vo- scrutinizing our visas with an instrument.
Vo- she started typing for 2 to 3 mins
Vo- The next thing from her was sorry you are qualified for the visa this time... you could.......

I didn't bother to listen to the rest of her speech...Just right there I concluded that American embassy does not have a
right visa application process. The so-called VO just grant and deny visa at their discretion

Please i will like to ask this... any answer will be appreciated.

My cousin got married to his friend after he won the USA lottery like 4 years back, but they were both denied visa at the embassy. Then few years later, her( my cousin) parent's petition was approved to immigrate to the USA since her parents are citizens through naturalization and she should be going with her spouse. But along the line now she is divorced because they are not both happy, he has left her and both separated and divorce certificate issued. Now, she had to re-write the NVC that she has divorced and she began afresh with the whole application process. Fortunately or unfortunately, she has been invited for an interview based on immigration (green card) as single and unmarried, since her parents are citizens of the USA. she has submitted all documents and a date has been fixed for her interview. my question is will she be issued a visa, and what kind of questions will she be anticipating. Does she have better chances? All documents are intact. Thanks any valuable answer will be appreciated.

hello guys, thanks for this thread. please i have some very important questions. i study here in Germany (masters) and i intend visiting the united states for my aunty's graduation ceremony and the school has sent me an invitation letter already, i still have two more years to finish my studies but in Germany they give one year renewable visa till i finish my masters, please would that be a problem?

my second question is, about 5 years ago i tried applying for visa i got denied and i stated that i have a brother working as a doctor there so about a year ago my sister tried to apply to the united states for studies but she was denied and the vo told her that the reason was our brother who travelled for studies over 20 years ago finished his studies and got married and divorced just to become a citizen. so my question is guys must i indicate in my form that i have a brother? and if yes how can i avoid that question?

Great idea! Shut up and go read previous posts, and if your case is different (you see what I did there?), ask your question. How hard can that be? As University graduates, research is a skill that one should have.

gemcn:
very funny cheesy

maybe the thread should be closed or used for gisting and sharing experiences. because the rate at which its going, it seems all possibly questions have been asked in previous threads or posts. so invariably people should shut up and go back to read previous posts and stop asking questions right? There is no chance at all. You may have a chance if you spend time reading all the relevant posts but until then, you have no chance at all.

Please I need your advise.

I was denied F1 visa twice in 2010 for not having enough ties and went ahead to study a different course in a private university in Republic of Benin. I went for my national youth service in 2015, after my service year I secured a job with a construction company as project officer, also I'm married with a kid.

I want to apply for a US visa to attend an Annual Meeting of an organization, which I'm an international member. The organization has to do with my major and the annual meeting is scheduled for August. What are my chances?

My opinion:
1. Both of you don't have employed work, I mean work that pays a regular salary with "being in that employment for a long time", both of you engage in activities that can be conducted outside of the US -Your physical presence might not be required for it to run.
2. Your finances - have you travelled as a family on a holiday, outside the country.
3. Previous US Application - if you or/and your wife have applied before as a couple or single.
4. Concerns about your travel history.

vanod:

It is clear that most so-called Christians, are Christians in name only o.

1. Comparing a fig tree to a human being
2. Forgetting that Jesus rebuked Peter for cutting off a man's ear
3. Forgetting that Jesus told Pilate that if his kingdom was of this world, his followers would have prevented him from being arrested. meaning his kingdom is not of this world.
4. Jesus that taught us to pray saying "...forgive us our trespasses, even as we forgive those who trespass against us."
5. Jesus that was called worse things, yet he still died for those who cursed him.

1. Fertility treatment, without the sperm donor?
2. Fertility treatment, that can now be done in Nigeria?
3. Did she tell the VO, she was going for fertility treatment in the US?
4. If she was going for fertility treatment, why didn't she apply together with her husband and/or her husband apply and get a visa for this purpose.
5. These could be some of the reasoning of the CBP Officer.
6. Re-apply with your husband, and let the VO know that you both are going for fertility treatment in the US.

My friend was issued a B2 visa last June but didn't travel till this January. She was supposed to be going for fertility treatment, which is what is told the entry officer at POE at d airport but they still denied her entry and cancelled her visa, saying dat she is lying and actually wants to come work, otherwise that why wld she want to stay for two months.

What are her chances of reapplying and how can we tackle this issue?
