TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by KaptainAfrika: 10:27am On Nov 13, 2017
I really need to change my profession, 450k per month salary kai. Back to ze matter:
1. Its good that folks from his company have gone to the US for the same training and come back, it should count for something.
2. He will be asked some questions, e.g. why the US?, what he intends to do after the training?, why was he picked? etc. He should also be weary of tricky questions such as "what will you do if you get a job in the US?", "What will you do after the training?", "what will you do if you win the lottery in the US?".
3. He should be confident and bold, and look into their eyes.
All the best...ehhmm is that Orijin non-alcoholic? grin grin grin grin grin

concho:
1. working for 2 yrs and some months .
3. last people that went for the training used b1b2.
4. single
5. has only traveled to our village *SMILES*
6. maritime society of Nigeria
I await your reply sir , while i cool off with these bottles of orijin.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by KaptainAfrika: 10:21am On Nov 13, 2017
Okay, its not an F Visa then. Geez. Na wa o! grin grin grin grin grin
Mbamto:
I disagree @the bolded
Do you know how long the training will last it the nature ?
My colleagues have gone to America on a training that lasted for weeks, days etc in a B1B2 Visa, sponsored by my Office. Infact I have lost count of the number of beneficiaries, but well above hundred and at different periods. Purpose of visit clearly disclosed to the VOs and so far, nobody has ever been denied (both singles and married) All went and are back successfully, many more are prepadvise to go next.

Wetin carry F visa come here , let's try and advice based on what we know not what we assume please.

I will advise concho to read all parts of this thread very well and fill the form correctly pleaee
Only God knows your chances
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by KaptainAfrika: 7:35pm On Nov 12, 2017
To be honest, no one actually knows his chances (was spoofing with my response) but lets look at his profile

1. He is working, for how long?
2. He earns 450,000...that's good
3. Maritime training in the US...that will be a study visa, like F1...please check the student visa thread.
4. He is single.
5. His travel history, where has he travelled to? (not required though, "virgin" passport owners have gotten visas)
6. Who will be sponsoring the training?

concho:
boss,
thanks for the response . We will be glad if you can tell us the reasons behind your verdict sir?.
NB, this is not a protest against your opinion please.

I think it will save you a lot of heartache and headache, by going through immigrant route. The VO's are on here, and are daily sieving for people like you. What story are you going to tell them, that they have not heard? Also do the right thing. By the way, there is a forum for US Visa immigrant category.
Rep01:
Ahhhh Ahhhh why are you talking like diz, I join dis forum simply bcoz I want 2 have more knowledge about how to travel down to USA, but I was so embarrassed with your respond towards my move @ otunOba15.. pls note dis, this forum is to educate one another not to embarrass each other.. if I may ask, can u plz tell me d illegal aspect of it.@otunba ? I need better respond from better and reasonable nairalander... THANKS

They may not be performing for money, but such competitions involve cash prizes...like I said I am not sure. cool
OmoBendel24:
That's a P visa! Are they artist performing for money?
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by KaptainAfrika: 3:13pm On Nov 09, 2017
If this is the case, you guys can still reapply. I think the visa category thats relevant to you, includes the organisers applying for visa's on your behalf, then you attend the interview. Its like the one they do for musicians, coming to do tours in the US.
beezyblaze:
Yh exactly.... Twas after the denial.. The organizers started calling and mailing the embassy........something they could have done before the appointment date.
Smh.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by KaptainAfrika: 11:31am On Nov 09, 2017
Okay lets reason as a VO together.
You first appeared with your family, for vacation, denied.
You then reappeared alone, for vacation, denied. The VO is probably wondering why go alone, why not with your family (just a guess).
- Either they are not satisfied with your family travel history
- Or financial ability
- Or both
How about you and your family travel out, especially to countries, whose visa application processes are "not easy". And then much later, reapply?

okanla:
Both times are on Vacation

TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by KaptainAfrika: 10:54am On Nov 09, 2017
Sorry about that. The US Embassy dey craze atimes e.g when they denied visa to the Afghan girls going for a recognised competition. Maybe you guys applied for the wrong visa? I know its not a B1/B2 for a sporting competition, I may be wrong. Sorry again about your denial, they are other countries willing to support your dreams. All the best!

beezyblaze:
Yh yh... Ikr... But the team have traveled to Germany and Denmark for competitions...in which they won... We even took the trophy along....but we weren't allowed to take it in....
Well what I'm after now is a link or connection that will get me an academy or amateur team.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by KaptainAfrika: 10:09am On Nov 09, 2017
IF THERE IS ANY ISSUE WITH YOUR APPLICATION, IT WONT BE BECAUSE OF "PRINCIPAL SPONSOR".
- YOU APPEARED WITH YOUR FAMILY, FOR WHAT PURPOSE?
- YOU APPEARED ALONE, FOR WHAT PURPOSE?

okanla:
Good they House, I would like to know if it is possible to change the principal sponsor, l had Appear twice and was denied first time has a my family wife and two kids which l was principal sponsor then.

Second time alone also denied, but is it possible for me next time to to change the sponsor of the trip to her since she is civil servant while i have my own business.

"now I'm home tho...thinking of my next step.... I just really want to be out of this country before next year.... Even if its an amateur team or football academy."

THE VO WAS RIGHT TO DENY ALL OF YOU. EVEN IN COMPETITIONS ORGANISED BY REPUTABLE BODIES LIKES THE IOC, ATHLETES HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO ABSCOND. WITHOUT A STRONG TIES TO NIGERIA, YOU WONT BE GIVEN A VISA.

beezyblaze:
My interview was on the 6th 8:30am... At Abuja.
We went as a group..... Soccer team..from lagos . 16 players and 4 officials....to participate in a tournament on the 20th of this month at Houston Texas.. .... Copa rayados.
We all got denied flat....i wasn't even surprised... With the way pink slips were flying about...i already lost hope...with about 30 people that were interviewed before us... Just one white slip was issued.... And i was already calculating how millions of naira was burning In matter of minutes... Smh .....my coach was the first to be interviewed...by a young African American Lady.....he told her its a group appointment...she said its none of her business... That everyone must be interviewed individually.....well.... It didn't take up to 5 minutes for us all to be interviewed and denied. ...we all met outside... Entered our bus... Straight to our lodge.... No one said a word....some were almost crying while some were already crying. .....phones were ringing... our parents calling.... No one could answer. ...we were all heartbroken.. Thinking about it now.. It's kinda funny.... But trust me... Then.. It wasn't one bit..
now I'm home tho...thinking of my next step.... I just really want to be out of this country before next year.... Even if its an amateur team or football academy.

YOU WERE ASKED IF YOU HAVE A RELATIVE IN THE US, IN THE FORM, YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID YES, EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT GOING TO STAY WITH THEM. MOST CASES THESE ARE A DISADVANTAGE, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ENTERED ILLEGALLY. OTHERWISE IT IS ALWAYS ADVISABLE, TO ANSWER THE FORM QUESTIONS TRUTHFULLY.

KEYWORDS: "Vo: madam are u pregnant" +
My opinion:
1. This VO feels that your family should have gone on a vacation to other places, before applying for the US Visa.
2. But, if you re-apply again as a family, with the same purpose within the same proposed time of travelling, you may get it (unless the next VO feels the same way).
3. VO's have biases that influence their decisions.
4. For no reason, should your wife re-appear there and say she's now going for childbirth, because you were asked and you said no.

You won't even be able to watch that station, it would be scrambled because it would be illegal to view. Support TSTV. DSTV didn't start out perfect, but it had the support of the government and people of South Africa. But supporting our own is very hard for Nigerians to do.

We once had such a case. This respected principal came from the private sector, to take over my nieces school. There was this girl that kept on being reported for discplinary action but she was always let off the hook - the principal complained that she was a big man child, which was true.
One day, they did head-count and she was not in the hostel, sharply they went to report to the Principal...only to find the girl holding onto the desk, while her grandfather's age-mate was behind her...

Great transcripts so far!
Please can you let us know if this is your first time applying, or you have applied before, or you faced a ban before, or you came clean before. I think it helps people understand the context of your transcript. For example, I was banned for 10 years, I applied for a waiver, got approved, attended the interview got my visa e.t.c.

First of all, all western countries now share data. So no point hiding anything from them. That being said, you have to first apologise for the oversight, and in detail list out the denials and the corresponding legal references. If there's anything else you guys have hidden from them, this is an opportunity to let them know.

pappy0080:
Hello House

Please I need urgent advise on my Canada TRV application. I submitted a family package on the 29th of September 2017 online. I got a letter today : Procedural fairness addressed to my wife stating that she did not disclose her previous visa refusals at US embassy in June and September this year. Though she answered "yes" in the section 2b & 2c on the form for visa denials but she only made comments on previous Canada Visa refusals only. The Visa officer gave us 15 days to respond to this letter with any representation. She has got US visa before but renewal was approved. She didn't withhold the US visa refusals intentionally, she thought since it was Canada visa application and after answering "yes" to the question, explanations concerning Canada refusals should be ok. My question is: After responding with reasons for non disclosure of US visa refusal , will our application be automatically denied ?? Has anyone ever encountered this same circumstance and visa got approval after sending reasons for non-disclosure? I am very worried, please anyone with experience about this matter should advise. Thanks.

TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by KaptainAfrika: 6:36pm On Oct 26, 2017
It doesn't mean that you don't have a legit reason to go to those countries, but a lot of people have "disvirgned" their passports by having these countries stamps on them - fake or real, fake as in having agents stamp on them, real as in travelling to them because its cheap, there's no visa required and it gives them some sort of travel history. If you have no travel history, you can still get the visa. IMHO.

LadyGuinivere and all the kind contributors please advice. My wife and I plan to have our babies(twins) in the US due in may 2018, we got married in this year so our passports bare single status. For our honeymoon we traveled to Dubai (our only travel experience ). I run a training agency, while my wife works in a bank.

We are told that we can either apply now for Christmas vacation, make the travel before the end of December. And then travel with the same visa in may for delivering.
Or
Apply for medical visa, providing proof of contact with a doctor(which we don't have) and wait till may to travel.

Please which is better? Traveling in December is not very convenient, but if its a better option we can take it.
If the medical visa is better, please can anyone help us with doctors and requirements we should have handy while applying.

We have family in Houston Texas, should we ask for invitation and if yes, what should be the format?

Thank you
