the national assembly only consumes 3percent of the nigerian budget-totally dissolving the house would not solve a bit of our monetary problems.i know they dont deserve it but part time legislature doesnt change anytin.

The power of the PDP dominated NGF is a very powerful tool which can achieve a lot of things in unity.

Goodluck won-Goodluck had a 2-pronged attack;1.Either he takes overy the leadership of the NGF and uses this powerful tool to pursue his agenda OR
2.He destroys the unity and consequently the power of the NGF so that it could not be used against him

The opposition won-They hav succeded in contributing to dividing the house of PDP greatly against itself...This event that weakened the NGF has shown the great disunity in the PDP...A divided PDP Govs cannot work together to take over the non member states for PDP

Musiwa,leave our oil alone!!!!!, Delta state cannot become a minority to the yorubas.We cant leave Nigeria as a minority and join the yorubas as minorities again, We are done with parasites

Musiwa, The itsekhiris are a very small group of people in Delta.Itsekhiri and yoruba are related but the Urhobos are the majority.

The Niger delta doesnt want to be part of Nigeria because they dont want parasites to join them in enjoying the oil money.Consequently when/if Nigeria breaks the Niger delta would not want to form a new nation with the non-oil producers.

Stop being stupid!,why do you think the deltans will agree to be part of a Yoruba empire where they will be marginalized?
This will be Nigeria all over again where the parasites enjoy the oil money due to their sheer size and the oil producers are sidelined as a minority.

Mind you there are no Yorubas in delta state and the Itsekhiris are a very minute people in Delta and have the least amount of oil.The majority in delta are the Urhobos.

The SS has as little to gain from the SE as from the rest of Nigeria.The other regions remain parasites.

The problem the SS has with the nation Nigeria is the fact that all other regions are parasites.Any break away country from Nigeria including the SS with any of the parasites will not change this fact and consequently there will never be peace.

Learn to look past ethnicity-The current criticisms that have been directed at Goodluck have been motivated by the need of all Nigerians to hold our government accountable.When the price of fuel is increased,it is all Nigerians that suffer it as we have suffered from time immemorial while our government officials keep feeding fat and we the masses make sacrifices to fund their allowances.This was what the protests were about.

By the way why is the SE trying to form a coalition with the SS?, The oil? and you think the North and the West are the parasitic ones! btw I am from the SS.

ACN has neither reprimanded nor expelled governor Oshiomole of Edo state too, This is a Nigerian protest not a political protest.

And if our government cannot bring to justice a group of people outside the government who have stolen billions in the name of subsidy and make them repay what they have stolen,how can that government make sure another set of dubious contractors don't cart away d monies allocated for the proposed subsidy reinvested infrastructure?

   We will probably see the same thing as another powerful cabal of contractors will steal the money and go Scot free,

The problem Nigerians have with the subsidy removal is that our government lacks money and needs to borrow because of its lavish life style .7O% our budget is devoted to running the government and this not subsidy is what makes the government borrow.

Nigerians want the government to first look inwards to raise funds before coming to collect ours cos the truth is that even after subsidy removal the government will keep borrowing to maintain its lavish life style.

Can anyone give us the break down (with source) of the proposed 2012 budget so we can understand the situation better?

Before the conduct of the presidential polls the power supply rose considerably and many even had it in mind that GEJ was trying to pacify Nigerians but ever since GEJ was declared winner of the presidential polls the power problem in many areas has gone from bad to worse i.e from as low as 8hrs a day to 2hrs and man areas are now recording days of no power supply.

Is it just the areas i am seeing or is this happening everywhere?
