Thegoodone13:Lol. The population of the whole of ECOWAS is 390million and Nigeria holds 200million of the population which is more than half.... Those cooked up firms are definitely smugglers assuming they even existed.
|
The rate at which contested and probably unverified news is gracing nairaland front page today. It seems nairaland is preparing to loose the credibility they have built over the years....... Las las na over tacha matter nairaland wan spoil so...... |
The real problem here is the MOD that took this unverified news to front page and who still hasnt deemed it fit to delete this entire thread! For God sake people tend to believe anything on Nairaland front page. What a cheap way of destroying the credibility of nairaland..... |
ordbrandco:Your points are valid under the assumption that nigeria actually exports anything.... Our exports are not much.....thats why the government is bold enough to do this. We are a consumer nation so closed borders hurts our neighbours much more than it will ever hurt us Our natural resource is our population......one-sixth of Africa is in Nigeria.....its high time we started arm twisting n milking other nations with this gift. We dont need to be fair or nice to our neighbours. We just need to make it big. America has bleeped up so many countries in the world left right centre and they are still respected. |
wink2015:Ecowas my foot......come up with a better reason. As Nigerians our duty is to Nigeria and not ECOWAS. No one blames Ecowas when things are bad |
YorubaNinja:You are a citizen too. If you havent given 1kobo to reward any hard working and smart student then you are part of the problem. Footballers and entertainers are rewarded heavily at the expense of intellectuals all over the world |
alfsalami:You too can donate 10k to the best graduating students around you. If 10 of you do such then each best graduating student can go home with 100k. The people donating money to them dont have two heads. You cant force people to like what you like. Afterall footballers are being paid like ritualists and no one anywhere cares about intellectuals.....not even you |
Imagine if the whole nigeria stood with those girls accusing davido of pregnancy. We obviously cant take stands just cos we think ladies dont lie. I hope David has learnt his lesson! |
NimrodEndOfDays:We are incompetent and myopic. YES! Maybe one day we will have good leaders. But right now the nigerian people should not continue to suffer for our incompetence alone. Lets share the burden with Benin Niger and Ghana. Nigeria is bad! Nigeria is bad! Nigerians are poor and suffering but ecowas is feeding fat and growing rich from trading in Nigeria. Because Nigeria is the biggest market in Africa. I think we should start making huge gains from our "market". |
ridbell01:He is a pan African.....and his statements should be applauded by other west africans but not nigerians. But that truth will only continue to RUIN NIGERIA!!! A patrotic nigerian will not say that We havent been able to stop kidnapping and boko haram and one person just believes that we can stop smuggling if we dialogue. Haba! We are incompetent, we cant stop insecurity and smuggling....our health and education is in shambles. Yes we know. We have accepted our fate. But our economy and people should not continue to suffer for our incompetence. Let benin and niger and ghana suffer for our incompetence for a change |
NimrodEndOfDays:We dont care about an ecowas contract that destroys our economy and favours other countries. Infact lets dissolve that contract that enriches benin republic while Nigerians are crying of hardship and unemployment for many years. Which kain ECOWAS we dey do wey don make our neighbours open ATM for our head. Nigeria don turn MAGA. breach ke |
crazygod:When hunger beats us wella ehn......we will all begin to farm...... Then suddenly there will be so much jobs. Ppl will be offering you 100k just to farm....and white collar shell n NNPC jobs will be looking for workers. Things may be hard now.....but trade isnt helping our economy.....for our economy to grow MONEY MUST COME INSIDE......and our trade with west africa only takes money outside. No purely consumer nation can grow economically If we must continue to buy and buy from west africa then we shoud kiss our economy good bye. It will only get worse |
Nigeria is the biggest market for Africa. 1 in every 6 Africans is a nigerian. Every ECOWAS free trade agreement will always favour our neighbours more than us. Nigeria is barely able to produce enough of anything for our 200million population, talkless of exportation. Our major export is oil.....and these poor west african countries dont buy unrefined oil. So we dont need them too much in trade. We cant be playing the big brother while our economy and people continue to suffer. Thats fooloshness... How can anyone be crying for the struggles of benin traders and economy. Haba! Nigerians have been suffering in poverty for many years now. Lets cry about that first before thinking of ECOWAS |
Its not all about promo endorsements and brand ambassadors. If glo can put all this money into building a network as good as MTN then they will rake in money n customers without all these promo here.....brand ambassador there |
OZAOEKPE:Rubbish! But you will complain that Buhari is ruining nigeria forgetting that your state governor owns atleast half of the blame |
fairfora:Just so we are clear.... do you actually think any transporter will pay the toll gate fee HabaThe toll gate fee will be paid by the masses by increasing transport fare. Do you think any sensible company will pay VAT? Haba....they will either increase the price of goods and services or sack workers. The struggling masses will pay the vat and the toll gate fee. The system is failing but it is wickedness for the poor masses to make the sacrifices that will support the extravagant lifestyle of the ruling class. Vat, toll gate, removal of subsidy will all raise funds. But what are we suffering raising funds for? For our politicians to drive prado jeeps? For billions to be allocated to special advisers? If all the monies used to buy jeeps for polical leaders from local government to federal level is put together wont it raise similar funds to VAT and toll gate? The system is failing. Yes. But the politicians should make the sacrifices first instead of impoverishing the masses. |
This government is hell bent on impoverishing nigerians....from VAT to tollgate while refusing to pay minimum wage. We dont want your development PMB/PYO....Just dont make us poorer than you left us. How can the struggling trader and artisan be the one funding minimum wage they wont receive and jeeps n luxuries for our politicians. This is wickedness. The solution to increase revenue is to reduce the cost of governance including largesses to traditional rulers.....if that is done and the money is still not enough then you can try and remove from the masses. Only a fool will applaud this system that allows the ruling class to retain their wealth and milks the masses dry to sustain a failing system. |
No better time for rude boy to have released audio money cos we will be hearing alot of it. Interestingly Tacha will likely not tell us those that ddnt honour their promises. Cos the idea that she has 100million in the account makes her look bigger than life. |
Hmmm...... the aim is to win the ultimate prize o....60 million.....not front row seat to the final.... Will you guys retract these screams of grace if he doesn't win it..... |
thariodamaniac:Your advice is top notch!.... Can someone on the average still make it big in the graphic design business? The market is heavily saturated and its hard to get well paid.... How about video editing and short clips for someone with average skills? |
nextstep:We find it easy to lash out at the FG and encourage our leaders on mediocrity and rubbish. Its not surprising people of this state worship Ibori. If deltans told their leaders the truth the state may have been better by now but no! We celebrate crumbs.....forgetting that its our money not the governor's own. |
Lets hold our governors accountable. This selective blame on the FG is ruining this country... Whenever the niger deltans blame the FG and blow up oil installations, more money is given to the oil producing states.....but the money never gets to the people cos the governors n leaders of the region hijack the money......but the people wont blame their precious leaders....never..... So they blame the FG again and more money is given to the region and the regional leaders hijack it again.....and the cycle continues.... Right now the Niger delta governors get so much allocation that everyone is left dumbfounded......but the people continue to blame the FG instead of their leaders..... If EFCC picks the governors we will cry witch hunt....infact right now the governors are sooo relaxed. They dont care cos they know they are leading foolish people..... Nigeria's allocation is shared about 52% to FG and 48% to states. Your state leaders should atleast get half the blame for the unemployment poverty and lack of development in the states And with the current sharing of political power in the country PDP atleast gets 40percent of the blame allocated to poverty in the states |
youngbang:Who will you prefer to advertise your goods and services? The best graduating student in your class ? Or Khafi? You will rather hire Khafi and ofcourse pay her well. That is what ambassadorship is all about. Its business not charity |
If evans was a northerner sha.... everyone will have been screaming that he hasnt been killed cos he is fulani..... But here is a full blooded igbo man, guilty as hell......but judgement hasnt been passed. The nigerian system is dysfunctional in itself, not everything is tribalism |
So what is the moral lesson or action point in all your male n female attraction theories? I haven't gotten the point anyway. Should women be worshipped as holding the key of choice to the next generation or what? |
Odinaka00:Nigeria threw Ghanaians out in the 80s and are today rushing to Ghana... Ghana has not paid us back in our own coins yet. No hard feelings. Consequently nothing will happen to the S'Africans.....if their country spoils they will join nigerians in jumping from country to country and no one will bat an eye lid. |
There are not too many facts when human behaviour is discussed.....it all depends on those involved... The average clubbing drinking not very religious person has only one fear when cheating......fear of bin caught by his patner.... The average religious person has multiple fears......fear of being caught by the patner......fear of bin punished by God with badluck or even hellfire.....and most importantly....what the church members who respect you for being a deacon in church will say.. You will be naive to believe that these two sets of people will cheat in the same way..... The average christian woman will continue forcing love in a dead rship simply because ppl will say she isnt prayerful if they get a divorce. The non religious person doesnt have such worries. Thus u cant be raising ur opinion as if its the full truth....it is heavily affected by the people involved Imagine someone telling u that you are a fraudster n yahoo boy simply because nigerians have been known for fraud worldwide. Thats how ridiculous ur opinion felt in that church group |
Who is a true bestie really? A true bestie is someone you have some attraction to but who "all things being equal" u will not date.....maybe they are not pretty enough tall enough or rich enough..... But one thing is there.....you are quite attracted to the person or you wont spend so much time trying to be around that person "for nothing!!!!" That attraction that makes u guys besties is enough to ignite a romantic fire when all things are no longer equal |
