Note how banks and companies were rushing to donate billions to the government to fight COVID-19......
They didnt bother to give to the poor people or give relief materials to the community. It doesnt matter.
They preffered to sack workers and gather the money to give the government because favour with the government is more valuable than giving the real people that need it.
The physical principle of giving is to buy favours. Even philantropy buys you the good will of men and increases the chances that men will favour you.
Giving is valuable but its not the key to wealth. The key to wealth is value
There is a spiritual component to giving ofcourse.
Either way; there will always be rich stingy people and poor givers because giving is not the key to wealth. In the Rich man and lazarus story, the stinginess of the rich man did not stop him from being rich.
The people who enjoy the giving maxim the most are those who receive this giving from others |

Even physically ....giving brings you favour with people you give to and whenever its in their power, they will try to help you. They will recommend you for jobs, promotions, contracts etc.... Thats why Dangote allegedly donated 5bn to the government to fight COVID-19. Tommorow the government will ban every other person importing anything Dangote wants to import and he will keep getting rich. Giving buys favours. Favours increase your chances of getting rich But a person can be wicked and stingy and still be rich....as long as he has a valuable skill....a valuable good to sell.... If i sing a hit song today.....i will get money no matter how stingy i am. If i get a job that pays me 20million monthly....i will be rich. Regardless of whether i give or not. The law of wealth is value not giving...... you can give and still be poor but if you have value you will be rich. I wont hire a person into my company because he is a giver....who cares !!!... but i will hire a person that has good skills that i need |

If your nephew accuses you of killing his mother, the best thing is to sit him down as an elder and tell him you didn't do it because the young man is only bereaved. Even if you are doubting the pastor, the man's wicked action just proved the pastor might be saying the truth. It is slander. If the uncle keeps quiet it will look like he cannot deny the accusation. The uncle's reputation will be damaged. The reason to respond to false accusation of this magnitude is to prove that you have nothing to hide. All the boy has to do is state his evidences/proof or retract his accusation and issue an apology. You cant just ruin someone's good name and expect him to keep quiet just because your mama die |

You can work all the hard and be stingy! You can't be blessed!
You can work all the hard you want and not follow the principle, you will end up in Struggle..
If life is by Struggle, the guys that push barrow in the sun and all that should be the richest!
All the bill gates, Oprah Winfrey, Saudi billionaires and all persons who are megaly Blessed are givers!

It has an advantage of divine Security and more! There are stingy rich people. Even Jesus gisted us about "The rich man and lazarus".... very stingy wicked person but he was still RICH. The only thing he lost was his soul. There is a spiritual and physical principle by which giving can assist a person in life. But saying it is the only way to riches is just deceit. Its sweet for motivation sha and the people that preach it as "the only way" will inevitably become bastardly rich which further strenghtens the teaching. I believe this world is both physical and spiritual..... The physical can work and does work without the spiritual. The spiritual "rarely" works without physical input.
Thus anyone that works on a well paying job/profession or sells a high demand product must be rich. Regardless of whether he gets spiritual assistance or not.
This is why any human being can be rich without sowing or doing money rituals.
If i land a job that pays me 20million monthly because i am a good and intelligent programmer or i sing a song that blows and start going for shows at 20million each..... i will be rich !!!!
It doesnt matter if i am singing about a lady's waist and weed. As long as the song blows i will make money.
If i am a talented footballer or sportsman and i get to play at the professional level, i will be bastardly rich. Regardless of if i am a christian muslim juju worshipper or atheist
If i am a good and creative actor and people like seeing my face on tv....even if its nude movies i am acting. I will be paid heavily and i will be rich.
Thats how the world works. The world is natural and anyone with value will get paid.

Righteousness89: Basic Foundation and principles of Life
These Principles were given by The Creator, GOD ALMIGHTY Himself.
These principles does not answer to Fasting and prayer
These principles does not care about if you believe God Almighty or not.
What are these Principles? Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Being Wealthy, Rich is all about who follows the rules given..
The Earth belongs to GOD Almighty.. HE makes the sun to rise on both the good and the evil and sends rain to the Just and the unjust!
Whatever happens, the poor will never cease to be on the earth.
Atimes what holds people from being blessed is the Holding on to that little that u have.
The difference between a Rich Believer and an Rich Sinner is that Security and peace of mind that comes with that of a Believer. It's priceless!
Abramham was Heavily Rich and Blessed in all things. He served GOD and is in Heaven!
Lazarus was poor and a beggar! He also is in Heaven as we speak!
It's a Matter of choosing how you wanna make Heaven! You do it based on the principles you follow!
When things are looking bad in your life... Look for Good life and a Sow a seed!
It could be that old mama who her kids have abandoned!
It could be that poor family that are not into evil activities
It could be anyone doing something that is not evil..
It could be your local church or pastor etc
Just look for a good ground and Sow away your sorrow!
I say good ground, because there are certain people who are under Curse from God due to one thing or the other! And when you give to them you attract trouble to your life..
Be led before you Sow so as to avoid some stories
I am not disproving sowing a seed to someone that can bless you.....but i think a problem with the teaching is that the teachers state that this is the only way to be rich and its not true. Anybody that works hard will be rich. Believer of unbeliever. Thus a believer that works hard and doesnt give anything just like the unbelievers will still be rich. The greatest pitfall of this teaching is the fact that unbelievers are rich and doing well in life too. There are stingy rich unbelievers just as there are stingy rich christians. Making the giving way the only way to wealth makes it all look like a big scam because there are poor people that have been sowing for ages and rich people that only sow to prostitutes and clubs. The teaching is true but it has been overstretched beyond its actual capacity |

Christianity Etc › Re: How Should One Find Out Which Religion Is The Truth? by karo93: 8:41am On Jun 23, 2020 |
LabuleofNigeria: This thread is a very sensitive one !
Hundred men will tell you hundred reasons/ways to find out the True Religion (Reason (1) because of Diversity in the nature of men.) (Reason (2) because of Diversity in the Culture & mindset of men)
Most religions claims I am Right, Others are wrong. Therefore, there is no one True Religion (Reason: For every Religion X, it will be and always be the wrong path in the sight of faithfuls of Religion Y,Z,...all others)
The moral of religion is to guide man to the right path, make us live a modest, holy, truthful, sincere life and to be kind to others (Biggest moral is "not to be a harm to fellow lives" with subject to "mindful quotient of fear for faithful compliace"
God himself will never create One right path that only leads to him & create several other wrong paths to lead mankind astray. (Because he creates the Diversity & understands that Millions of mankind wouldnt all think/choose alike)
I would have been an Atheist, but considering the fact that the Anatomy/intelligience/structure of mankind and the universe is obviously too far from being called an accident or mere bang collision (accidents dont bring planned orderlines!).
Do not waste your precious time to find any useless proof/fact/evidence because, Godliness is spiritual (not science). Godliness & Spiritualities cannot be proven using scientific thesis/medium beased on facts & physical evidence (If you doubt this, Hold your head with your right hand v early in d morning before eating, call your names & your mothers name and lay curses of your day's endeavours. Tell your day to be ruined with adversities.....then judge your outcome with science)
My take: I might be wrong or right. Its all man for himself & a free world, take your own take too based on your own reasoning
Whatsoever Religion you find yourself doing and getting Results, Whatsoever Religion you find your own "Self-conviction", Whatsoever Religion you find appealing, Whatsoever Religion you find Peace Follow it faithfully. If (no one nows) there will be any form of judgment/accountability after death, you will be judged based on your Religion.
Religions are like Subjects we take in Schools, and you will be only be examined based on your chosen subject. No true Subject, all are based on your ability/passion/interest. Students doing fine in Mathematics might be doing so poor in Economics, its left for students to find out their strenghts and choose based on that.
Thank you (I wouldnt respond to anyone )
Am not disputing the power of curses just stating that time and chance happen to everyone thus when bad things happen to the person that is cursing himself he will believe its his curses and when good things happen to the person that blesses himself he will believe its supernatural, when bad happens its a trial or a mistake. Nigerian leaders have been heavily cursed by Nigerians but their lives are not different from that of the average nigerian; Babangida Abdulsalami Obasanjo buhari are enjoying long life and riches. If they are very religious then they definitely believe God is blessing them and showering them with love. But Abacha is dead and it seems like God punished him |

Family › Re: My Sister In-law Tried To Scam Me. by karo93: 10:21am On Jun 04, 2020 |
Amya: I've been looking to get a federal agency job in Abuja for a while now and haven't yet had any reasonable connection.
My sister inlaw ( husband's sister) a lady in her mid 40s who's divorced and a hustler type still trying to find her feet called me up one day and told me a friend of hers had a connection for Civil Defence and i should email my CV right away to her. I have never discussed jobs with her before so the call took me by surprise. I wasnt particular keen on Civil Defence and as a lawyer i had my sights much higher on parastatal or agency jobs. She might have sensed my reluctance on the phone and she went on to say
"I'm just doing you a favour ooo, many people are hoping for opportunities as this"
She had this tone of urgency.
I didnt especially like how she was hurrying me as i never approach anything with desperation and as such, have never been scammed. I told her I'll get back to her. Two hours later, she was messaging me on whatsapp that she hadn't seen my CV on her mailbox. I replied her saying
"Aunty i haven't sent it ooo, is the job slot free because me i don't have money ooo"
This was a very dicey situation for me because this woman is over 10 years my senior and i wanted to be as diplomatic as possible without causing family wahala.
She read my response but didnt reply.
Very early the next morning she called me and when i picked up, she said that the job wasnt free but the price wasnt too much, just N350k. That i shouldn't worry that she'll call my hubby (her brother) and ask him for the money. When i saw she was still pushing, i opened up to her that even if i wanted to pay for a job slot, it definitely wasnt going to be a Civil Defence job as i had my sights set on agencies and parastatals. I knew she was upset by how her voice changed. "Agencies? What's that?" I told her like NNPC, DPR, NCC and the likes "NNPC? ehnnn.. Okay" She cut the call and i heaved a sigh that it was over. It wasn't.
Two days later, this woman called me again to tell me she has an NNPC job for me.
(you've gat to be kidding me!)
She said that her friend knows the director and he asked for one million but after begging him, he agreed to take 500k she started with her hurrying tactics that i had only 24hrs and if payment wasn't made before then that the offer will be withdrawn. At that time, NNPC were done with their recruitment process and i didnt even apply and knowing how stringent NNPC recruitment was, i knew that offer was impossible. She went on that if I didn't have the cash that she'd call her brother (hubby) to make the transfer immediately. I knew right then without a doubt that this woman wanted to use me to obtain her brother by all means. She can try to scam him directly and if he falls mugu, good for her but why try to use me in the scam? I went further with questioning her on the supposed NNPC job. "Please Aunty the director that is helping, where is he? " Abuja nau" she replied getting irritated with my questioning.
She was in Lagos and i was in Abuja at the time so i asked her if i could meet the supposed director one on one and pay him directly and even promised to reward her and her friend handsomely if the deal pulls through.
"No" she said abruptly "you pay the money to my account and ill give it to my friend to make the payment. All you have to do is just hope and pray"
Pray... That word. I knew then without a doubt that this Aunty was trying to scam me.
I told her "Aunty please dont be angry, i know you mean well for my future and want me to get a good job in NNPC but right now I've already paid part payment for another job somewhere and i wouldn't want to invest in two places at once" That wasnt true, i just had to get her off my tail once and for all. She was shocked. She angrily cut the call. She wanted to finesse her brother out of some cash using my future, what happens when the real slot comes around. Would i expect him to pay twice?
Her mum (mil) called me and started blasting me. Saying I'm feeling too big to be helped and her daughter was only trying to help me and now she never wanted to have anything to do with me again. That i should call her daughter and take the offer so that peace would reign. I didnt. Even my hubby blamed me and i couldn't even open my mouth to tell anyone i thought the whole setup was a scam. That's such a big accusation to make. The family dislike for me grew worse because of that incident.
Please did i do wrong?
Modified: For those asking me to talk to hubby, ofcourse i did but he genuinely believes his sister was trying to help and since i couldnt point out outright that the whole thing smelt of scam, hr thinks i rejected the offer because of pride. But i know better. It didnt cause serious issue between us though. Communication is everything....you should have carried your husband along completely....if he then chose to be scammed then its between him and his sister. But you are not at fault. Your husband is just being unreasonable |

Getting there on a Sunday, I went for 3 days intense fasting (no food or water) and funny enough,I was not in any way affected by the fast. During that week, I saw things. I saw many things, but on the end, I came out a new being...yokes were broken, secrets were revealed and all in all, I held on to worshipping at the church... My life has never remained the same. Hallelujah!!! Glory to God ! |

OloshoMan: It is really important to know that I don't care if any of these questions hurt your religious feelings. Just grow the hell up.
1. If the Bible is the inspired word of God, how come different denominations have different numbers of books?
Would a single God give different instructions to different people?
He never did. It was the people themselves who decided what should be in their own Bible
2. If the Bible is the inspired word of God, how come several books are removed?
The books of Maccabees, Tobit, Judith?
If the authors were truly inspired of God, why were their books removed from the final compilation?
Did God's word come back to him void?
3. If the Bible is the inspired word of God, how come there are glaring scientific inconsistencies?
A flat earth? The age of the earth?
Would and omnipotent God create a spherical earth and forget it was a globe and inspire prophet Isaiah to call it a circle?
4. If the Bible is the inspired word of God, how come it condones and supports the most evil acts of human wickedness?
Misogyny. Slavery. Murder. Genocide
Would and loving God demand to have women and children killed?
There is no such thing as Christian feminist btw
There is a lot more to say but I will just leave this here
I hope you have the courage to see the Bible for what it truly is. Thats easy....The people that compiled the bible were inspired by God to remove writings that were not inspired by God... The bible is a compilation of inspired writings in relation to God over many years. The bible is a compilation. The bible writers probably didnt know they were writing chapters for a best selling book of all time..... Infact apostle Paul was simply writing letters to believers he trained, teaching them and encouraging them. He wasnt writing a book of rules and code of conduct |

charlesELIKIBA: HELLP NAIRALANDERS
I will be brief with my writeup as much as possible so I can explain my connection with this lady.
My single mom gave me away at a tender age of 5 to her elder brother (financial difficulties i assume), this ''aunty'' happens to be the wife of this my mother's elder brother.
Aready they had 4 children, all boys.
The home was a tough upbringing with strict rules about socialising, we weren't allowed to bring friends home or go to friends places. It was pretty strict and my uncles wife i would say was the mastermind of it all, she was strict and mean maybe because it was a house of 5 boys.
Growing up in my uncles home, I wouldn't say I was treated diffrently because I always got matching outfits with my uncle's children during christmas, gifts during christmas, same portions of food BUT IN ALL I was always scared of doing somethings my cousins would do. I didn't feel free growing up, i felt diffrent from them. In some cases they attended the best schools than I (but I never attended a govt. school or a bad private school).
It's like if their school fees was 1m naira per term, mine would be 150,000 per term.
I lived with them until I was about 16 or 17 and one morning I woke up and they said i was going back to my mother at 15 or 16 like any kid, you would start to develop conscience (sense), maybe breaking some rules and being stubborn just like their own kids. This I assume was why they wanted to send me back to my mother OTHERWISE I CAN THINK OF NOTHING ELSE I DID WRONG OR DIFFRENT.
In all of these years living with them, I saw my mother as a strange person. I had no motherly connection with her. My anty to me, was my real mother. Whenever we went visiting my mother in very rare occasions, it was always awkward.
Well long story short, I found myself back in my mother's arms, to a new environment i knew nothing about and starting to learn to live with a woman called my mother. I was naive, had no choice but to accept realities on ground. Do you know that feeling of living in a pouch house and wake up next morning in a 1 room surrounded by thick bushes. Yes that was the change.
I was enrolled into a school, my uncle was repeatedly forced to send/ pay my schoolfees until i was in ss3 and i called him to inform him about waec enrolment. He told me on the phone ''all the exams i have been writing, how many have i passed'' and that was it. He never sent a dime anymore meanwhile at this point his children, my cousins were already miles ahead of me suddenly in education. When i left the home, the eldest son went to canada to school, the second who is my agemate was already in a private uni in Nigeria and the 3rd who i am senior to with a year is preparing to go to ukraine for school and years later the last born who i spoonfed and chewed meat for attended uni in Ghana.
Well long story short, since my uncle had failed me. My mother said it was time i go to my father. My father was old retired pensioner. My mother took me to him, as expected awkward encounter. I have never known this man, no memory of him. Well he said he would find my enrolment money and he did, he later passed on a year or two later.
I enrolled waec and pased in one sitting, thanks to miracle centres.
PS: i must say i was never an intelligent student. i wasn't even average but i wasn't the poorest and neither of my uncles children were better. We were all poor educationally.
Long story short another uncle sprang up and paid for my university diploma which i later acquiried.
YEARS LATER my uncle and aunty decided to move back to our home town, please note the home my mother stayed in was this my uncles home. It was the boy quarters, the main house was not even in sight as at the time i was returned to my mother. We did series of bush clearing and snakes killing lol. well my uncle returned home town after retirement and setup the main structure ( a 5 bed room duplex) and thats were they lived while i and my mother lived in the BQ.
I WAS very angry with myself that i happened to still live with them AGAIN, i needed to get out of their sight, my condition was bad. i was a mere teacher to some rickety school. In all of this my uncle's wife always ensured she knew what i was upto and she derived satisfaction when she knew i wasn't doing better than her kids who were all abroad. i turned to their errand boy again after years of neglect. i was very angry with myself and needed to save to get out of the house.
Well i did manage to save up and leave the house and i promised myself never to return to that house. i felt neglected, i felt they sent me away because the goodthings were coming and they couldn't bear to see me share in them because to me they were my parents.
YEARS LATER, my aunty was sick with cancer please note before i left the home, my uncle and aunty always sent me to travel journeys to get them medicines from a monastry. i attended such trips severally and ran other seperate errands but i never dared to drive their car talkless ask for the key. i always washed their car in the mornings, i would never also dare to see myself in the living room of the duplex with the remote in hand. when they moved back to the hometown, that fear in my childhood started again but this time i was mature enough to know i would never m amount to anything in life if i continued this again hence the reason i needed to move out.
So my aunty sickness grew worse, the husband flew her to india and back but the sickness grew worse. in all of this cancer times i never went back to the house to see her. I only heard of her conditions from my siblings (my half siblings, my mother was married to 3 men in diffrent years and she had only me for my father, another for another man and 3 for another man, i was the lastborn of all).
Then my aunty died. The day she died, i saw her in my dreams and she was crying saying ''she forgave me''. A day or two later i went to my sisters store and she told me of my aunty death, i went to my rented apartment and cried profusely. i later summouned courage and maybe sympathy and went to my uncles house and i cried before my uncle and told him to forgive me too for all abandoning them all this while.
NOW ABOUT MY AUNTY SAYING SHE FORGAVE ME IN THE DREAM: i did not do her any wrong neither did i wish death on her. All her life her greatest fear was maybe i would become greater than her children. She loved these comparisms, i was never wicked to her, i never cursed her, i was never rude to her unless i some instances when she sends me errands and i tell her i have other things to do.... Otherwise i never was negative to her instead she is the one nobody likes, by nobody i mean my uncles family. Nobody talks good of her, they say she controls my uncle and also squandered his money but in all of this i never spoke of my experiences living with them and somethings they did wrong that made me feel diffrent, i did not even tell you guys neither have i told my mother ever. i don't see them as anything that would stop my growth in life. i hate to talk about the bad in people.
WELL BACK TO REASON THE TOPIC WAS CREATED, why do i keep repeatedly seeing her in my dreams even after her death and its always on a negative role. its either in the dream she still plays mother, or she is gossip about me in the dream or she is against me in the dream, just think of anything negative in a dream and she will be the mastermind. This is really beginning to worry me. Why is she still attached to me in the dreams?
After she died, her husband, my uncle started his own sickness but has been sick for years now, he is bed ridden. The family has repeatedly asked him if there is anything he and his late wife did in the past to amount such sickness were he is living in pain but refused to die and he would not answer. One time they said, he said ''it was out of ignorance'' and thats all he ever said about anything.
It will also be good to note that of all my 4 cousin brothers and i today, i am the most successful by far.
i just finished my house (a 3bedroom, 2 bedroom, 1 bedrrom bungalow) january this year i bought my 3rd car. i travel round the world effortlessly. YES I DID TURN OUT FAR BETTER THAN MY COUSINS WHO YOU KNOW HAD THE BEST EDUCATION.
I don't want to talk of their conditions, lets concentrate on me.
So this is my much writeup... I had to skip many things so you can bear to read but please be free to ask me questions.
Why do I repeatedly see my aunty in my dreams.... just before this writeup, i had just woken up from another dream she was present in, she was whispering to the ears of a very good friend of mine and then the friends turned to me and was like '' ah cahrles na so you be''?...and i was angry and was like '' how can you believe something someone you just met told you against i your best friends word'' and minutes later dream ended and i woke up.
At this point i am thinking of going spiritual to know why this is happening but this will be a first in my life. There are two popular places i have never being in my life until lately last year... One is a shrine and the other is a police station. Last year was my first time to be in a police station. I was driving my unregistered car. That was my offence. IMHO @OP those dreams may just be a result of the psycological trauma you grew up with; you grew up to fear her and always believed she didnt wish you well. She was the ultimate villain of your growing up and that can account for those dreams. The last dream of "I forgive you" may have been triggerred by your own guilt. You already felt guilty for abandoning her and hoped she will forgive you. All this is obvious as you went to apologise to her husband for it after she died. This thing is very likely psycological and its not too surprising. She was basically your mum and u feel guilty for abandoning her when she needed you most. I advice you to forgive yourself and let it go. It wasnt your fault; the trauma of being abandoned by your aunt and husband wen u needed them most really affected you plus the fear that they didnt want you to succeed. All these tampered with your psych and were the reasons you couldnt visit her when she was sick. It is not your fault. Forgive yourself and move on |

bizme: I wouldn't exactly call my evolving philosophical view deism. I believe in God, I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit... What I no longer subscribe to is organized religion that makes promises on behalf of God, promises God doesn't appear to be keen on keeping.
What I no longer subscribe to is the bandwagon of feverish supplications and emotional songs that seek to deaden one's senses to accurately appreciate the way the world works.
What I no subscribe to is the recognition of the physical and social principles that govern our existence, and that God appears to have given the reigns to these principles to dictate man's experiences.
For all that keep attacking me on my change of mindset, I have nothing but pity to offer you. At least I am humble enough to acknowledge the impracticality of my philosophical points of view... I recognized the Christian call and call to Christ followership as a covenant, in other words, an agreement binding on both parties. If God called you into that agreement He must be willing to honor His part of the bargain, as long as you're keeping your parts up. Otherwise, we should simply reduce Christianity to a call to misery, to pains, to despair... I do not include the entertainer MOGs driving flashing cars and jets in my description: such individuals are not even Christians to start with. They are conmen and slaves of their own bellies, to be pitied above men because even in repulsive opulence all they seek after is to take the little that you have to further enrich their purses.
I have come to believe that the form of the gospel preached to us is probably strange to God Himself. God created the world, sent His Son, sent His Spirit, gave His grace. And that's where it ends. All that is left for me is to determine my own fate, the outcome of my life by manipulating physical and social principles to my advantage...
Yes with me your demons and doctrines die, 'cos they fail to scare me now. Na wetin you talk i dey ask you o......i am not trying to make you agree to anything. My question is...... do u still stand by this statement you made? |

bizme: I must say you sound more like you're trying to seize this opportunity to evangelize to me.
Right?
Otherwise, why on Earth are you surreptitiously asking me to make the Christian confession of faith? You asking me whether I still believe in Jesus... And then the purpose for God in the lives of believers.
I believe in humanity. Lol. Boss.....u have really gotten paranoid o....Go through my posts on this religious section and you may have a better idea about me. I am sincerely interested in your progression over the years and i believe the path you chose to take holds many answers that will be beneficial to all of us; Religious and non religious folks alike. I have no intention of convincing you to choose any path. I just want to learn from you. Pls answer the questions i posed as much as you can. |

bizme: Thanks Chairman.
I am still wondering how you arrived at the assumptions implied in the highlighted part.
But has anything changed in the last three years? Let us just say that several things around me have further confirmed the fact that organized religion is indeed an opportunity for a select few to lord control over the majority. This COVID19 situation has further exposed many of them; many who claimed to have special healing anointing are hiding with the rest of their members, just like every so-called unbeliever is hiding. I have had more time to study people, events, and the history and I am increasingly convinced the the organisation called the church in Nigeria is far from whatever Christ had sought to establish. I have also come to conclude that Christ did not come to found the kind of Church that men erected against His fame. Since my fast post three years ago, I have increasingly examined the toga of bondage that Christianity forces unknowingly upon people. I have also come to the conclusion that the majority of Nigerian Christians are in the main hypocritical, hateful, lacking in humanity and afraid of examining facts that conflict with the set of assumptions they call faith. They do not know enough about the faith they profess to have saved their own souls by that knowledge, yet they always seek to make conclusions on their ignorance while asking others to join the faith they themselves are not sure of. They are generally too lazy and/or afraid to critically examine biblical 'facts'. In short, they are too afraid of the truth even though they claim to follow Christ Who is the Truth...
I hate confrontations, so I have largely stayed away from engaging in faith-based arguments with them. But there have been very few cases of some pushing to have my opinion about these things... Needless to say, none of them was sufficiently grounded in the Bible to be able to give explanations for some posers thrown at them. They all went quietly in pursuit of their modern Christianly voodoo.
Let's just say I am too rational to be one of you guys. One needs to suspend his brain to be a proper Nigerian Christian. Unfortunately my brain is my greatest asset, and none of you has any decent evidence what lies ahead of this life. So it makes no sense that y'all should destroy the present world based on an imagined order of future times. You once made a statement in your earlier posts years ago that you still believed in God, Jesus and the holyspirit when you were accused of shifting into Deism.... matter of fact, many atheists were confident that u will eventually enter atheism with the way you were going at the time. Thus; Do you still believe in Jesus as Lord? If you do; Have you yet found out the purpose for God in the lives of believers? |

bizme: You know, two days ago I still had a discussion like this with my mom after she had issued the general recommendation to pray to God to help Nigeria as a country. I told her Nigeria is in our hands, not Gods. I sincerely believe that. That the fate of a person or group of persons is indeed in their hands, and not in the deities that we Nigerians are more often than not ready to blame for everything.
Just imagine what this country would look like by now, if all the shared delusional expectation in God's intervention had been replaced with a conscientious nationalist and patriotic readiness to make things work individually and collectively!...
I really do hope that the eyes of many more Nigerians will be open after this COVID19 palaver, that in the end, our religious obsession has counted for almost nothing. 3 years and counting boss ! Glory to God ! I really enjoyed reading this thread so imagine my joy when i saw a recent post from you. How has it been outside organised christianity? From what i read so far; You have never stopped believing in Jesus as Lord. You rather have disagreements about how God is portrayed. Have you made any additions or subtractions from your beliefs as at 3yrs earlier? Do you attend church occasionally or not at all? Despite tethering on the very edge i was amazed that you continued to believe in Jesus and the ministry of the Holyghost.....why? Have you had a supernatural encounter with the spiritual in the name of Jesus? What experiences have so kept you that no matter your disagreements with God, you cannot doubt his existence. Have you found out the purpose of God in the lives of christians? |
