KingEbukasBlog:
Ok .. Ive heard you ... so where is your evidence that the universe needs no creator ?
Because of the absurdity of the Universe requiring a Creator. If the Universe had a Creator, then there must be a point where nothing but the Creator existed. Now if nothing existed, then the Creator must have had to create the Universe from a pit of Nothing!

Which is ridiculous and daft.

Also since time is part of the Universe, then there can not be a creation before the Universe because that would mean an event of creation flows into another event of fruition which implies time passage!

Joshthefirst:
I don't see how the bolded addresses anything I've been saying.

The role of culture is not to make living possible. Culture is only the way a certain person lives his life. That said, culture itself has to be given definition by belief or else it is senseless.

Living is senseless without the depth of God and love and good and evil. We all believe and accept and walk and think and act in line with this, whether we deny it or not.
Don't you think religion is a subset of culture? Don't you think culture sets goals for human achievement. For example the modern culture promotes mass materialism as some sort of achievement.

They probably did not consider the free speech implications. Rather than bring up a bill, a telecoms regulation with precise conditions can be used to bar the unsolicited calls and messages. It will apply only to the telecoms coys.

Is this Supreme Creator the immediate cause of the Universe?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Atheists Test by Kay17: 8:44pm On Mar 09, 2016
I think it is irrational for any human to believe that the beauty and orderliness we see all around us are unplanned
Each and everytime you say that, you should add except The Supreme Creator

Dlionsheart:
But you must understand that NNPC, it's operation is set up by law and the law must be appealed before any restructuring. In a democratic setting all over the world, the law of the land or the constitution is supreme to all and the president is not above the law. The best you can do is to lobby relevant stakeholders like labour, NASS, etc. Let him follow due process and he will have my support
The law allows for NNPC to go as far as create its own subsidiaries. Nobody is denying the constitution its place.
Politics › Re: Senate Probes NNPC Unbundling, Says Buhari’s Action Illegal-vanguard by Kay17: 8:29pm On Mar 09, 2016
Reference:
So if the NNPC can be restructured at the drop of a hat how enduring will these heavenly changes be and will it not be better to pin these changes down with the weight of the law with 170million Nigerians on top of it so that some scoundrel doesn't toss it into the bin tomorrow. At the end of the day it remains the same argument. What Nigeria needs most to develop are strong institutions. Democracy is not a one man show no matter what one's feelings are. The solution to dysfunctional arms is not to relegate them but to develop them because a nation's strength is the weakest link.
Wouldn't it be unimaginable difficulty to consult the National Assembly each time administrative restructuring takes place? With the turbulent oil market we have today, an oil business like NNPC should have the flexibility to adapt as it sees fit with little time lost.

Besides you have demonstrated a poor understanding of executive powers and how broad and powerful they are.

Go back and read again. They aren't subsidiaries. They are new units. The NNPC have been unbundled. These new units are run by CEOs and not just Managers. They are going to operate independently. God help us... If they go through with this, there won't be an NNPC no more. Let's leave politics behind and face the reality of governance. Please take this message to your grandpa PMB
Your description of new independent units is ambiguous. Do you mean these units no Group Managing Director to report to? Do you mean that the NNPC has no ownership of these units?
Politics › Re: Senate Probes NNPC Unbundling, Says Buhari’s Action Illegal-vanguard by Kay17: 7:11pm On Mar 09, 2016
Fit2Rule:
You gotta learn to write like a literate and sane creature. Where on earth does a President wake up and "unbundle" a corporation that was established by law? What act is enabling the establishment of these so-called units and subunits? This is a democracy for God's sake. We use laws not decrees! Tell your dear Buhari to get this into his head and wake to governance. Being a Buhari fanatic should not make you display your ignorance and foolishness in public fora. #No offence intended#
The NNPC Act creates NNPC and a Petroleum Inspectorate and grants powers to the corporation in respect to its functions.

The Act did not create subunits or administrative components of NNPC. That automatically gives the executive the discretion to design the corporation operations in a manner which it runs efficiently.

The key questions to ask whether the unbundling act is illegal or unconstitutional;
1. Does the NNPC still exist as a body corporate?
2. Are any of its powers curtailed?
3. Has the NNPC board membership changed?

My answer to all above is no! The NNPC still exists with all its powers and functions. What changed was its administrative units.

Irrelevant questions.

Smh.

You look like the beast shaa..

Dont feel intimidated.
These are obvious questions you ought to ask yourself. You can't accept any random girl, do you think your ideal type of woman will accept just any random guy?!

You have to know what attracts her, otherwise you are gambling in the dark.

Now, women with different qualities will have different expectations. A prostitute and other of such basic ladies will want money, sex and be needy; your beautiful intelligent ideal woman ought to expect more than these from you, otherwise she is basic as well.

It is simple logic.

In order of relevance

1. BEAUTY. That girl must be a stunner. My first attraction.

2. INTELLIGENCE. She must be bright and her tenses must be right. You send me text message and i cant read the meaning. NO.

3. CHARACTER. She must not answer every jack that says hello. I love girls who have shame and can say NO. When i am there or not.

4. SEX. She must do well in the department.

5. HOME KEEPER. Dress bed, sweep, clean and cook well.

If she has these, bro she is good. Not exhauative though..
May I add confident beautiful woman? Since a beautiful woman without confidence wouldn't have that beautiful carriage that men love.

Now such a confident, beautiful, intelligent, neat girl is smart enough not to associate herself with a beast, right? What type of man do you think such women go for?

The truth is, nobody went to a school of love, we are amateurs at finding life partners. Why can't men be choosy, why can't they pick mates with the highest values. Most people lose sight of the goal -- a meaningful relationship.

For bad girls, LOVE is attached to SEX.

Ask them.

Most girls will deny you were dating them because you never slept with them. She will dump ur ass ones the bad guy comes knocking and tell you where you failed.

Infact, let me tell you, for an average Nigerian lady, LOVE is made of MONEY and SEX.
But strangely enough, you are willing to spend 35+ years with a person whose values are not beyond sex and money, right?
Politics › Re: Soyinka And Falana React To Ese's Abduction by Kay17: 10:28am On Mar 08, 2016
The trick is, the definition of a crime is within a law either a secular law or religious law (Islam). The Criminal Code governs southern Nigeria, and it does not permit carnal knowledge with an infant below 16. But Northern Nigeria laws are influenced by Islamic jurisprudence. Hence a similar prohibition of carnal knowledge with a child is absent or restrictive.

Soyinka ought to have consulted a higher realm -- Morality. Morality transcends laws, and penetrates the heart. However an infidel or atheist or pagan like Soyinka can hardly stand on any moral ground.
Christianity Etc › Re: What Is The Definition Of Evil? by Kay17: 8:42pm On Mar 07, 2016
PastorAIO:
My contribution is to give you my definition of evil. What the bible has to say, or whether it exists, are not points that I care to address.
Stepping aside from theology, my understanding of Nietzsche's thoughts on evil:

Slave morality through its resentment converts what's its oppressors find to be good to themselves, into evil. For example he makes the analogy of the eagle and lamb. The lamb expresses slave morality by resenting the strength of the eagle. Such strength is interpreted as evil. Therefore evil is a subjective construct of the slave moralizers.

While the eagle finds whatever means to exercise its energies as good. Hunting and flying are good. Bad is now a defective state. For example physical weakness, poverty, impotence. These states are condition of the slave moralizers who worship their impotence, poverty and weakness as good.

Good is passive for the slaves while evil is active.

Good is active for the nobles (eagles) while bad is passive.

From his Gay Science, he says Evil men are the different expressions of the same instincts shared with other men. So I think eventually he takes good to be some refinement of one's instincts. Rather than the raw fulfillment of the same instincts.

Is the OP saying he can't afford to take care of himself and needs to lach onto a woman to feed?

That's one of the fastest ways to lose respect.
The question is whether a woman in a marriage owes her family any financial responsibility. Not whether the woman is to cater for her man absolutely. Don't confuse both.

and the guy determined what happened to the remaining money. This happened for 3 Good years. There was happiness in d family and d wife never refused to do her primary home duties for that 3 years,
despite wrong advice from friends that 'you can't be paying the bills and still be doing all the wok'.There was a particular month d guy used about N70,000 2travel frm state to state for different interviews. He finally got a job with a good firm in
Port-Harcourt. His salary was N800,000
monthly 4 a start. He bought his first car (a brand new) for N4.5m, he gave d wife the car key,& continued to take public transport to work for about 2yrs.
Then he bought the 2nd car for N6million, took d key of d first car & gave his wife the keys of the 2nd car. They eventually moved into their own house after few yrs.
One day, d wife was looking 4some documents. She stumbled on a file neatly hidden, when she opened it, she saw her wedding picture when she was very slim in d first page of the file. She then saw dat d document 2 the purchase of the land and every other thing in the
house were all written in her name! At d last page was the husband's wedding picture and a note written by him:
''MY WIFE IS ALL I HAVE GOT. NOT EVEN THIS HOUSE WORTH N24M AT THE TIME I BUILT IS MINE''. Tears started to roll down her eyes. This couple got married in
2008.
True LOVE still exists till this day. Are you sure the Love you have for ur partner can be compared to this one you just read?
No matter what, remember u chose each other. It doesn't matter who puts food on d table or who pays d bills. Always know that, NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT.

False. The Church fought against slavery. Never endorsed it.

So what should King Richard have done to the 3000 jihadists?
Was there any papal injunction against slavery? Any excommunication against slavers?

These 3000 people are said to be prisoners of war albeit jihadists. The tag jihadist used to label is not enough to murder them whilst defenceless and unarmed. It is true King Richard had no Geneva Convention to guide him on how to treat prisoners of war, yet it is criminal to justify their killings.
