A consumer is an entrepreneur of some sort.
The lack of infrastructure or security or power or proper transportation is a business opportunity. Business opportunities are accented by lack. Drug dealers and arms dealers are entrepreneurs.
It is no surprise that the biggest economies control the biggest commodity -- Capital. Lots of capital is what makes Coca Cola and Pepsi sell sugar water to hundreds of countries.
The real discussion should be about capital or the lack it. |

Toks2008: Issorite but I will advice that you ask the international firm you work for to understand that THIS IS AFRICA and its time we stopped imbibing the pooh pooh of a foreign culture that has decapitated our people both mentally and psychologically.
Ladies say marriage is not the in-thing yet they crave to have a child and they also say they can live without a man yet they always keep male sex partners or at worst become lesbians.
See my lady,i repeat, its high time you rid yourself of your perpetual foreign mindset and emancipate yourself from mental slavery to foreign ideologies.
Today white ladies get scammed endlessly by guys and these white ladies are mostly in their late 40s and 50s looking for that same love they have probably rebuffed while they were younger.
Snap out of it..a lady may not know the worth and importance of calming down to build a family until she gets to her 40s and 50s before it dawns on her how important a nuclear family setting is.
Let me stop here. Everything African is good whilst everything foreign bad |

No kidding, it won't take me 10 minutes to sweep you of your feet.
It will be in your own best interest to consider my "rantings" before it becomes too late. This is an ego speaking. You really believe you can seduce every woman regardless of her background within 10 mins?! |
Romance › Re: When Your Beauty Becomes a curse. by Kay17: 9:57am On Jan 20, 2016 |
Toks2008: Every lady is outwardly beautiful in her own unique way but this piece is about ladies who know they are endowed with outward beauty and i mean ladies whose beauty will make heads turn.
I have seen many ladies flaunt their endowments yet no man is willing to have most of them as wives and I kept wondering what could be wrong. I have come to know that guys are wiser now and a reasonable man will not mind marrying a humble respectful reserved super ugly lady rather than have a manner-less and sharp tongued sex symbol as a wife but would rather bleep and dump such.
You get several likes in no time whenever you display your pics on social media and they call you Hot girl’, pretty girl’, sexy girl’ yet no man can stay with you neither can you stay with any-man because of your lack of manners and regard for men. Of what use is your outward beauty if you are still single at a marriageable age when the assumed less beautiful ladies are settling down happily and quickly?
This has nothing to do with mockery in anyway but let's face it. Is it not funny that a lady so endowed with physical beauty will remain single in her thirties or even late twenties? Definitely something must be wrong somewhere and most times if checked we will realize that these ladies are the cause and has nothing to do with men.
Most hot chics are arrogant, proud, impatient.too picky, disrespectful and always eager to turn down men or break up promising relationships because their beauty easily controls them and they believe a new man will always come around in no time.
More pathetic is the fact that many hot chics seem to believe they can achieve more in life with their physical beauty rather than hard work or even academic qualifications. We can see such in many tertiary institutions and business organizations whoring their way up their career ladder or to get good grades.
Most of these hot chics as they call them are intellectually dumb and i begin to wonder if their hotness is actually an exchange for their brains. Many of them can not hold up intelligent conversations but are always mostly concerned about fashion and very eager to expose their body shamelessly for the world to see forgetting that by so doing, they are shutting the doors of their life to responsible men while attracting those who are only interested in sampling the product they are advertising.
And after it dawns on them how reckless they have been, they usually come up with these defensive consolatory lines that "Everybody has a past,They are happy the way they are, marriage is not for everyone,i don't need marriage to be happy" but they secretely cry inside and wished they can turn back the hands of time. Yes your looks will win you so many men; both the good, and the bad, but your inner beauty, your character and manner are the things that will determine whether any of those men would stay or run after accomplishing their missions.
The dumbest thing i have heard a hot chic say is "I'm so hot that at least 10 men approach me in a week"
NEWS FLASH!: A thousand men can approach you in one month yet none of these men will be interested in walking you down the Aile but will only use your sorry ass and dump you.
On the final note please let this sink into your brain.."If you think you are too hot to be with one man then be ready to be sampled by many men..the choice is all yours.
Be reasonable and understand that there is a thin line between when your beauty becomes a blessing or a curse on you...be wise.
Hope this makes a little sense. The undercurrent in this OP is pure bitterness! Your failure and inability to seduce "beautiful" women is converted into a false morality. Women are aware of the discriminatory eyes of men. And how men coldly categorise women into beautiful and ugly entities. So the feeling is mutual. Besides not all "beautiful" women suffer the fate you think they deserve. True beauty means perfection. Perfection of wisdom, physique, compassion, holiness etc. If you are attracted to physical beauties then your problem is within yourself. I think you need to worry more about your disability. |

What I see so far is flowery colourful and general language glossed over the details. The Bill is actually vague on what it intends to do that the other posters are left to guess it's contents and effects.
My fear is these people might create legal atmosphere hostile even to startups and possible competitors. And antitrust legislations are intensely complex that cover the entire economy. With the ease in which the bill sails through it's stages and it's vague aims, I am afraid not much preparation and research was carried out. |

KingEbukasBlog: Oh not all . If you believe God did it through evolution , good for you . Because evolution makes more sense with someone on the driving seat . Instead of crediting it to serendipity , we can say this designer was trying out different possibilities - trial and error - and through gradual change He can achieve that design .
There are new earth creationists and there are old earth creationists - which ever you are - it does not tamper with your faith . Because whichever side you wish to take , only through your salvation that life after death with Christ is assured .
That's why I danced through new earth creationism , evolution and then to old earth creationism . It just broadens your knowledge on different possibilities of how the universe and life came into being off course with God as being in charge . Its fun I wasn't asking about whether it made sense with someone on the driving seat, rather the concessions Christians are forced to make. The adjustments they make in their beliefs/convictions due to an external factor like evolution. |

crownprince102: Interpretation of the Quran is a big issue on it own. Interpreting the Quran has recieved a widespread arguement among scholars.
Like Hebrew, Arabic words has range of meanings in terms of context. They are sometimes ambiguos and needs proper undestanding with literary, cultural and historical content before interpretation.
I dont think their are specific guidelines un translating the Quran but their are indeed way in which scholars do in interpretin them. Interpretation of Quran is known as "Tafseer".
On muslim fighting their grounds in other countries. This must be done in some certain legal ways accepted by the nation.
Upon entry into a nation or granting of visa, you have been binded by a convenant. A convenant of security. Their are certain obligations you must oblige urself to eg paying tax, etc. The Quran say; "Oh you who believe, fufil ur obligation."
Being inside the country, you have being binded by oath or convenant. The Quran says: "and fulfil every convenant. Verily you will be held accountable to it." this clearly show Muslim must oblige to the law of foreign land they resides.
If at all they are to fight for their grounds. It must be done in a legally acceptable ways by the government of that nation because they ae already binded by convenant. The difficulty involved in creating a consistent guidelines for interpreting the Quran, makes a value judgment on other Islamic sects subjective at most. Dont you think so? Imagine a corrupt State with decaying institutions and laws like Nigeria, incapable of delivering justice. How effective would a Muslim's efforts be under these circumstances? Also wouldn't Quranic law override secular laws? |

MORALLY, that might be true but LEGALLY, there is a world of difference. It won't make sense for us to go into all the nuances of Morality and Legality on this platform.
The Constitution is more than a mere. It is to Law what the Bible/Quran is to Morals. It maintains order in the society else if everyone has his opinion on issues, there will be total chaos. Law is an expression of morality. The ideals of individual freedoms and human rights are justified as moral values. Laws prescribe and proscribe behaviors based on the moral value they have. Ergo it is impossible to split law from morals. It is a hair splitting exercise to try to separate both. |

Bevista: I firmly believe that the President goofed wrt his comments regarding flouting court orders. A simple explanation that they were held on other charges would have been a lot better than the president's explanation. --- For those hailing the president because of "the end justifies the means" mentality, there is a terrible danger of precedence. PMB's intentions might be genuine and patriotic, what if a dubious president comes in and uses this precedence to outrightly flout laws and the Constitution? --- For those comparing this with Guantanamo Bay, what you need to realize is that the American Presidency did not flout court orders or the Constitution, they simply acted smartly and figured a way to workaround the Constitution. They went to have a terrorist detention facility (gitmo bay) in Cuba where the human rights laws of US is not binding. The Nigerian govt needs to start thinking and acting intelligently rather than resort to brute force due to lazy thinking. --- I strongly believe that the presidency should do everything within its powers to jail NK, Dasuki, et al, but outrightly flouting court orders is - in my book - way out of line. It is important not to weaken democratic values in the process of doing the right thing. --- "Power corrupts! Absolute power corrupts absolutely" There is hardly a difference between cynically manipulating the law to a dark motive and acting outrightly to serve the same dark motive. The Constitution is a mere book which records the attitude and spirit of the people. Arbitrary arrests are still against our values regardless of the legal gymnastics used |
