Religion / Re: Chris Oyakhilome's Malaria Vaccine Conspiracy Theories By BBC by Kaycee54321(m): 8:00pm On Apr 21 |
Kobojunkie: Lol. Well, my own perspective was that the men of old had many wives and children so they can help with labour as things were pretty manual back then; tilling the soil and such... Also, I think I've also seen families who are well off who actually have many children. Some families with money flowing are actually quite large with tonnes of children, nieces, nephews, etc. I think it looks like the rich have fewer children in general because, those you'd call rich are far fewer than the poorer folk...and then again, seeing people birth and not being able to cater for them brings this irritation that drives the general opinion that "poor people breed like rats"; whereas na the usual 3 & 4 kids wey dem born. But I do get your point. It's not far off to assume that people would intentionally birth children to fight the odds of them getting killed off due to ill health. |

Kobojunkie: Saw it as sex being the cheapest form of entertainment for most poor people...not necessarily because they want to have more kids so some won't die due to ill health. The worst I've imagined is birthing many kids so incase some are useless, some will "lift the family". And poor na relative term sha - most of us here are quite poor but let's not go into the semantics... |

Kobojunkie: Hmm. Very interesting perspective - People birthing many kids to beat the odds of some dying off...Never imagined that scenario, to be honest. |

Celebrities / Re: Dayo Amusa Reacts To Bobrisky Winning 'Best Dressed Female' Award by Kaycee54321(m): 9:32am On Mar 28 |
Lol. Funny thread. Well, it depends on context... Best dressed female could be open to anybody biologically born female (including/excluding hermaphrodites depending on superior gender exhibited physiologically). Or Best dressed female could be anything that has mass & occupies space, that happens to dress as a female... meaning that a German Shepherd dressed as a woman has every right to win. Really depends on context and specifications for eligible candidates... I sha fear for the future generations unborn. |
Health / Re: Lady Contracted Molluscum Contagiosum After Purchasing A Wig Online by Kaycee54321(m): 1:27pm On Mar 21 |
DIVINEEVIDENCE: Seconded Bruh. Most ladies say they wear wigs because it's easier than brushing, plaiting, weaving their hair...and it protects their hair from breakage - can't fault their choices. But I no just like wigs. Especially that hand movement when it's coming off the head to expose scalp covered in that nude coloured cap 😠And then hung on a nail or over the head of a mannequin 💔 2 Likes |

Make my wife to be don begin drive before I marry am or make her people do as this woman people do, Oluwa. Because I can't imagine my wife and kids, entering danfo or her quarrelling with Uber driver. If her family can run it, I will dance more than the bride. I will dance like David danced. Because millions for wedding and millions to start family; I come see person wey help reduce expenses , which dirty ego I wan get to feel bad ? 1 Like |

larride: On the flip side, I think it all made sense because it made no sense - I like movies that feel like real life. Real life is when there's a whole lot of fantastic events that you think is leading up to one electrifying spell binding grand finale and then flop , everything just ends in an anti climax that absolutely doesn't make any sense. The fire spitting dragons controlled by a fragile woman irked me, I only completed the series because of the depth in the storylines - eg Tywin Lannister, with all his hardness and class he oozed, was murdered by his dwarf son who has near zero combat experience while he was taking a shit; over a slave girl. I think it's why I also loved Breaking Bad. Walter died in the end without even knowing for sure that all he worked for got to his family. Fantastic storylines where the character development goes as planned and ends in bliss, dey tire me. But that na the other end of the coin. 1 Like |

Fryx: You have a point - a very well trained boxer can beat a bigger untrained guy in the boxing ring. If portable has some street boxing training pedigree and the bodyguard has just been pumping weights and guzzling protein shakes, portable could beat him in boxing...but if na one on one fight and the guy grabs zazu, then, o ti zeh oh 😂 2 Likes |
