1. What’s the weather outside your window doing right now?
Weather is on snooze. Quiet & cool morning; drizzled at night, I guess.

2 What are things you can’t go without?
Laptop, Phone, boombox/air pod & wallet

3 What makes you happy?
Progress; no matter how tiny. Especially if it leads to a credited account; no matter how small.

4 A recent conflict that you dealt with.
I can't remember. People are passive-aggressive these days. Can't really tell when you're resolving a conflict when passive aggression is involved.

5 What movie made you cry?
Not cry per say. Dropped a tear or two. Movie was Tararumpum. Scene was when the baby boy of a once wealthy racer pretended he wasn't hungry in class and later hid to go through the trash to see if his classmates dumped any crumbs there so he could feed... Saw the movie 7 years ago and I could relate...

6 The first thing you do when you wake up in the morning.
Phone wakes me. So I touch phone first; WhatsApp, Mail, Nairaland, Music.

7 What inspires you to be your best self?
I can't afford to be powerless when those I love are in need. It inspires & drives me.

8 If you could have a superpower, what would you wish for?
To be able to read minds. The possibilities are endless.

9 How do you get yourself out of a bad mood?
Music, Funny movies and "expensive" food I wouldn't buy regularly.

10 Do you like to be alone or do you like having company?
I mostly prefer solitude, though, occasionally, I love to have the company of friends and family.

I see you folake4u ✌🏾

Would love to see same from;

it doesnt have to be if you have 20 million to waste on a uk trip. find an american woman and be her friend online and ask if she has financial problems. then send her 5000 dollars cash to help her out. build that friendship then one day tell her you wantt to come to america. she would come to naija to marry you. hopefully you keep her

Baba, desperate people do not rely on hope oh. It's more practical to migrate to the UK and then explore other options from there.

Also, (and this is ogogoro statistics) less than 50 percent of Nigerian migrants to the UK had to liquidate 20million to travel...

what I am saying brother is ? Try to migrate to the USA or forget it. UK is sapa land. UK is somewhere to go spend money , not to make money. If you are looking for money ? Go to America

Moving directly from Naija to USA is HARD currently.

People move to the UK (at least those I know) for leverage. At least, you'd get decent living in Preston compared to Ilorin.

Then, you can shift your focus to the US. The money is definitely in the States...

Now you see why we are different ? It’s the background. I don’t see any salary in the uk as great because truly ? It isn’t.

I'll assume that you've come from a background of relative wealth.

Are you saying that you see those who earn 200k
in Naira per month as "slaves" for migrating to Europe (or even the "shitty" UK)?

Are you saying it doesn't make economic sense?

In a country where majority of people do not even see up to 150k per month and minimum wage is 33k?

I don't want to believe that you're thinking that a lot of people spent "20 million Naira" to relocate...not when greater than 80percent of the Nigerian population have less than 500k liquid in their accounts...and a large number (which I cannot remember) live below the poverty line..

If you are scared of losing doctors, then fix the system! Make your system competitive against developing countries at least, not even the West!

Why are they not sponsoring bills to better the working conditions of Nigerian doctors? Why are we wicked in Nigeria for God’s sakes!

Even with the lack of data, our clinical outcomes are shameful, now imagine if we had reliable data! The poor are already living in bondage, this bill will not resolve anything just like the new Naira policy..

The bill is not a logical attempt to solve a problem. It's simply the usual way these political elite show you to your face that they're gonna mess you up and there's nothing you can do

It's like when rats were accused of eating millions
Or when Twitter was banned Or when Cryptocurrency was banned...they just spit on people's faces and DGAF.

My kid sis is a nurse. I know how much she was earning and her standard of living when she was working in a TOP hospital in Abj. She never do six months for UK and I can tell you for free, you can't beat the reach.

They should restrict doctors ehn. Shebi they said our healthcare professionals lack empathy.
The number of professionals that'll be hawking liver and heart to augment and survive, e go shock them.

The thing be say, na the bloody masses wey dey cheer on these folks for whatever reason; a good number of them no go fit afford to fly abroad for good healthcare. Na for their teeth e go gum.

wealth is like maths. It has its own formula. Apply it to anything you do, be patient and consistent, and you'll be very okay.

In any business you do, make sure it's scalable, and not tied to your time. So don't be a barber, or a Uber driver. It's a dead end JoJob that can't scale.

Look at all the wealthy people, they are wealthy because they cover a huge population area. It's why Uber as a company is rich, but not a bus driver even if they are both transport companies. Uber is global, a bus driver is not.

So don't be a salary earner, And no dead end job/handwork (eg barber, painter etc).

Have a service or product that can scale. Then see how to sell it to more and more crowd. Doesn't matter what you sell. Cigar companies sell poison but are billion dollar companies.

So if you sell groundnut, or a software developer that can generate millions of downloads, then you'll be forking wealthy.

Where the work is, is in your consistency, managerial skill, and applying principles of business such as economy of scale, increasing your market share, strengthening your dominance, etc.

Of course this is an oversimplification of an extremely intense and complex business process and wealth creation. Hence few people are entrepreneurs. But it's rewarding, and if you want to lift all your families from poverty, it's the way to go.

It's a principle of "cause and effect". A tout chief that collects money from all commercial drivers in Lagos will be a billionaire in a month, compare to a pastor that has a small church where the members combined are not up to 2k usd in combined capita.

So if you can for example open a restaurant, then start having a new branch every three months for ten years straight, you'll be freaking wealthy. Chicken republic, dominos, kfc are all under this principles.

I repeat, being wealthy is not hard, it's if you understand the rules, and play to it. Dangote is a billionaire with this principles. He started small, now has lots of products from cement, to flour and sugar and all of Africa.

Exactly what this guy said. Obrigado. It's over-simplified and obviously not that straight forward but yeah, same principle.

Self-consolation.

I know few honest, naira billionaires in Nigeria, and they are they most hard working, honest men you'll ever know.

They are so lowkey, dressed in rags (I know them at Ladipo market), but bro, it is when you enter their house you'll marvel.

There are lots of honest business people, and their wealth last long since it's legal. If you went to be a billionaire in ten years time, I can tell you what to do. The question is, will you do it?

Speak Lord, thy servant listeneth.

This is not true and I am surprised you and Kaycee think this way. We all know how diasporans are hounded on this Nairaland whenever they share insights on careers and maximum achievable pay. It is better they keep quiet and mind their businesses. Maybe keep washing the plates and toilets they are accused of.

Maybe I haven't come across threads like that oh. It's always those abroad either complaining that conji wants to kill them and they can't bed white girls that easily or conji wants to kill them, yet "importing" a Naija girl to their base is a no-no.

Or they'll complain and complain about how, there's no place like home and how Canada is full of snow, cold, loneliness and boredom.

But then again, NL can be a cesspit so I can imagine if people decide to lock up. Na so one guy dey post e waka for different countries; one dunce was asking him where and how he got the money to be vacationing across the globe.

Sounds fake to me, although the sentiment expressed is true. Every politician will try to maximise their religious base.

The way the audio went straight to business sounds contrived. Expecting a lot more of this with AI, and knowing Nigeriana who share anything they see on WhatsApp without vetting, our polity will soon be overtaken with fake news, more than it already is.

..and their tribal affiliation & sexual orientation & pretty much anything that is perceived to give them an advantage.

Politicians are usually the very worst form of humans; since power is the most corrupt and debased human phenomena.

This applies to every human society across the globe. The Negroes just happen to be bottom of the barrel. The worst of the worst. They don't even make an attempt to pretend to do the least of what they should do for their society.

Whether Obidient, Batist or Atikulated; same same.
Na the other person shit go get offensive smell; no be ya own.

From the view point of an employee in a Nigerian Organisational Setting, this your view is alright...in order to avoid "stepping on toes"

From the viewpoint of an employer/entrepreneur/CEOs, this viewpoint is like telling the new intake to observe the ills/corruption/lack of enthusiasm and whathaveyou in the organisation and systematically fall in place.

It all depends on the the side your audience is taking.

It takes a person of depth to view both sides of the coin from the edge.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Find A Job Or Start A Business, Which Is Better? by Kaycee54321(m): 11:23am On Mar 29, 2023
Find a job.

A job is basically working for someone else's business. Find a job relating to the business you'd want to launch into, that way, you'd see the pitfalls and learn the business environment; and you'd have nothing to lose if you eventually find out that the particular business is not your cup of tea afterall.
