Extremely tight game and not the like you need lad like Theo(i hope Eboue comes in for him).I hope Cesc runs off his knock as Nasri is not the one to bring his A-game to an away game.Expect to see Arshavin too comes in for Rosicky so we can run at them and peg their flank players back.

Lads please do let me have a wonderful weekend.

Cagey opening so far. . . .Birmingham having a few chances from set pieces, Arsenal trying to work the ball around but to no real effect yet.
We are not direct enough and i wonder why Eboue and Arshavin are both left on the bench at the same time.

Walcott almost got a goal

The line up. . .

Birmingham: Hart, Carr, Johnson, Dann, Ridgewell, Gardner, Ferguson, Bowyer, Fahey, Jerome, McFadden.
Subs: Taylor, Larsson, Phillips, Benitez, Michel, Parnaby, Vignal.

Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Campbell, Diaby, Clichy, Denilson, Song, Walcott, Fabregas, Rosicky, Bendtner.
Subs: Fabianski, Nasri, Eduardo, Vela, Arshavin, Eboue, Traore.

Arshavin and Eboue are both on the bench.Also good news Silvestre is not in the starting 11.Lets just pray Sol pulls through so we wouldn't have agent Silvestre against Messi et al.

Suffice to state that in our run-ins,this particular match with our journey to Ewood parks are the matches i think are most difficult.I pray we win.

Kit,

If there's anything Vermaleen has learnt from Sol's case,it is that the officials in EPL are inconsistent.Let's assume they were both guilty of same offence,why did the former get a red card and Sol just a yellow card?And i am sure Vidic against Agbonlahor was worse off. . . i just hope the appeal will just be thrown out and not termed frivolous anyway.

As per Arshavin,i am not one of his greatest fan really and i believe he needs to buckle up as we need fighters at this stage,not moaners.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (In Arsenal We Trust) by kaypumpin2(m): 1:20am On Mar 23, 2010
@Kit.

I do not know how it is a red if Vidic's sumo wrestling against Agbonlahor isn't one.Plus Westham player never had the ball under his control.I think a yellow would have been OK.

@A-40
I don't want to sound pessimistic but what if we even win the appeal and he cops an injury against the Brummies walahi i wont forgive Wenger
Were you the one in my head 5 mins ago?Cos you just posted what i mused then.

As per RVP,ANYTHING from him at all this season is a bonus and Arshavin does more talking on his personal website than he plays on the field. tongue

@ Loyika

The reason I take it the way I do is that I come to an Arsenal thread hoping to meet fans with likeminds and maybe the odd antagonist and do not expect to see my fellow fans rubbishing our own players in front of the many enemies lurking around. I remember on one of the Arsenal threads about 5 games ago an Arsenal fan was blaming Denilson when he wasnt even playing. It was just convinient for him to blame Denilson as he is one of the fall guys. It is attitude like that I dont like.

Have you ever been to the Emirates? Moving from a 38000 seater stadium to a 60000 seater means there is a new type of fan that is able to get tickets to see an Arsenal game. He is called the glory hunter. Real fans do not boo their own players, just watch an Arsenal away game and you'll understand what I mean. The fans who are able to get tickets to away games are the most hardcore fans and regardless of what the situation is on the pitch, they,ll never boo their own players.
I have read this EXACT same line on an arsenal blog before(not sure which one),but i am sure i have read it somewhere.So it's either you are the one that wrote it there,you plagiarized or you just seem to have the same thinking pattern as the other party.

But whatever way it is,that line of reasoning is ludicrous.

Very wrong move by Arsene! Verma has started every game and is due a rest i hope it doesn't come back to bite him in the derriere! Why not just stick with Song and Big Daddy Sol at the heart of defence at Birmingam with Silvestre on the bench as a last resort. By the way where is Djourou? Where does Arsene get these sicklers that can't even guarantee you two months a season
I am on the fence on this one and my fingers are crossed till i see the outcome.I love Sol but of course he wouldn't give you 2 runs of matches within a spate of 3 days.And El-geatrico against Chucho and Jerome? grin shocked I'll rather Sagna is drafted into the CB.

The key on Sat is scoring an early goal or two(that's unlikely since it seems we court drama nowadays) and avoiding injury to our KEY men(Cesc,Diaby,Song,Vermaleen if cleared and Sol if he plays.

I don't think Wenger does frivolous appeals. . . .I remember the detailed and focused rebuttal of Dudu's suspension by UEFA.

Not too sure that the mongooses at the FA will see reason, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.
My initial reaction was that it's a straight red.But after seeing the replay,the "touch" was non-existent.I doubt he stands a chance though,Gerrard ain't his last name.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Messi Vs Rooney: Who Is Better For 2009/10 Season? by kaypumpin2(m): 12:18am On Mar 23, 2010
The fact that it was Messi against C.Ron last season and it's him(Messi)against yet another player this season again says a LOT about Messi.

He's a consistent performer that boy but i hope he catches a hammy in his next La Liga that will rule him out till the El Classico.

Just read the news about us appealing TV's red card and that the hearing is for tommorrow?Is this a great news or isn't there a possibility of missing an additional one match if the FA deems the appeal frivolous and trash it?
