Drusilla:

1. Every African child can eat.
2. Every African child can have clean water.
3. Every African child can have adequate health care.
4. No child is suffering war, refugee status.

Don't forget adequate shelter plus a means of getting proper affordable education. Free if possible, compulsory if implementable.

Exactly, so well we can discuss from there, shall we, smiley
Politics / Re: Nigerian Constitution Is Harmful To Igbo Presidency by kazey(m): 9:58am On Jun 21, 2006
Rather its the illiterate that actually go to the polling station, which means that most of Nigerian votes come from the North especially from the village districts etc, The educated Nigerians rather seat at home and watch the result on tv.

Business / Re: Why Is Africa Not Developing? by kazey(m): 8:22am On Jun 21, 2006
When we talk about Africa "developing", what are we inferring?

Having high rise buildings? Good transportation networks? Stable electricity? Job availability? High cost of living? An average GDP of 1k USD +? Poverty Eradication? What exactly?

I really didnt get that answer by reading through all the threads, would be greatful if someone could help explain that smiley

Politics / Re: Igbo President: What Will Nigeria Turn Into? by kazey(m): 11:19pm On Jun 20, 2006
If you refer back to the history of Nigeria in regards to the Biafran war, you would have your answer to why an Ibgo man would never be elected by the Northerns or even the Yorubas. To be honest the presidential seat is not for any race.

Did I strike a nerve? Get over it.

You really don't fail to amaze me smiley You are very predictive. Let me give you a word of advice, for it seems this is your first time in a forum, when someone is trying to say something, calm down, read carefully and surely you wouldn't need to start trying very hard to provoke that person, to win an argument. If it is really something to fight for. Peace. smiley

My percentages were based on my own online selling experiences.
@misanthrop
Was I suppose to assume that?

misanthrop:

And please use spellcheck, as your misspelling are appalling and embarrassing.

Thank you for the sentence of caution, for I never realised that I was making mistakes in regards. To err is human, besides whats embarrasing about spelling mistakes? Are you less guilty of such? Dont you know the difference between Spell check and Spellcheck? Or rather let me guess, you forgot to press the space bar. My bad.

@mochafella
Thanks for putting it in more explicit terms for I can't still get to understand how I can relate her so called shops or internet prescence with her experience in regards to understanding the basics of online scams or frauds.

misanthrop:

Over 80% of the scammers/thieves, derive from Nigeria.

That does really speak for your knowledge and understanding smiley

misanthrop:

I assume that paltry sentence was your reply. Please stay on the subject discussed. Thanks.

When you accuse someone without any basis or supporting fact for a crime or a stance, does that mean you are sticking to the subject being discussed? Pardon me?
Webmasters / Re: Nigerian Internet Scams by kazey(m): 8:02pm On Jun 20, 2006
misanthrop:

So you condone thievery, and blame the victims? Hmm, that says alot about you.

Quote me, do you really understand english?

What a lot of you sympathizers fail to understand is the basic law of fairness, justice and equality. When someone sends you a spam mail for example, its not scam yet , its an offer for you to participate in a particular deal (Whatever the nature might be), which is not necessarily defined in the content, its a business proposal.

Now the spam mail only becomes a scam, after you are a victim of the deal, and lets say for example, someone offers a deal for a mutual "bank theft", you get involved, when actually that bank nor such activity exist. After a while because the capital you laid down for purchasing the equipment for robbing that particular bank was stolen. You shout SCAM !!. How smart is that?

I do not support scam, dont get me wrong, but I guess we are taking an unfair side in our judgements. The reputation of Nigeria today online, is mainly caused by the ramblings of its own people.
Webmasters / Re: Nigerian Internet Scams by kazey(m): 7:43pm On Jun 20, 2006
Have you ever read the incidents that occured in Ebay?

For example, Why would you ship a product to someone when you haven't received the funds? Thats not even the issue right now, we are talking about the occurrence ratings, Credit card frauds from New York alone in a month is much more than what the entire Nigerian fraudsters can boast of in a year.

The issue is how much revenue comes from Nigeria in relative to online transaction to be able to accommodate for the possible risk that would occur in accepting payments from that country, Nigeria?

Its more than just the word BEWARE!! its a precautionary measure.
Webmasters / Re: Nigerian Internet Scams by kazey(m): 7:30pm On Jun 20, 2006
Nigerian fraudsters excel in email spams not necessarily scams. Check the world ratings on online frauds. cheesy
Programming / Re: Show Me The Script To Automatically Refresh A Webpage by kazey(m): 7:28pm On Jun 20, 2006
You dont need a vbscript to do that.

A header meta tag would do. <meta http-equiv=refresh content="0; URL=http://">

change 0 to the seconds, and the url to what you want.

Business / Re: What Business Can Invest Into With N2,000,000? by kazey(m): 10:35am On Jun 20, 2006
When I say "Sell yourself", I am not directly meaning you go and display yourself in the market and put a price-tag on your body. What I was infact saying was in regards to the pre-requisites, in the ability to develop something that could win patronage, selling your concepts, models, ideas?

In the realms of a career person, he is not selling himself because, if I were to apply that in that relativity that means I am inferring that anybody that works is a slave to his employer, which is not true in any regards. Slaves don't get paid for their activities or services !!

So in my explanation I was not saying that Selling yourself, means you should turn into a slave. I hope that is clarified.

pcywar:

Yes, I a type of Ponzi as you mention, I only hold a very big responsability in handling the account.

A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that involves paying abnormally high returns ("profits"wink to investors out of the money paid in by subsequent investors, rather than from net revenues generated by any real business.

The system is doomed to collapse because there are little or no underlying earnings from the money received by the promoter. However, the scheme is often interrupted by legal authorities before it collapses, because a Ponzi scheme is suspected and/or because the promoter is selling unregistered securities. (As more and more investors become involved, the likelihood of the scheme coming to the attention of authorities will continue to increase.)

rotbog:

PLS CAN U CADIDLY LIST THE BEST BIZ TO GO INTO WITH >500,000NGN?. I MEAN WHERE WOULD YOU PUT YOUR OWN MONEY?

When we talk generally about management of funds in regards to investment, this is a very critical aspect of the whole process of entrepreneurship, because it ends with generally two result, either you make profit (be successful) or you lose your entire investment, there is nothing like just being ok, because breaking even is within the margin of profit. Now to earn that certain profit in regards to being successful in any particular idea you get involved in, you really need to be ready for the effects, every idea is risky. There is no perfect business or venture.

As I said to a friend before, Entrepreneurship is a religion that you have to embrace, its not about just following the standards or guides or even becoming a professor in reading Entrepreneurship 101. It’s far more than that. It requires faith, believe besides patience and experience. It’s not a one day process, it takes years of trial and error to master.

Now what I am exactly saying is, if I recommend an idea to you now, that doesn’t mean you would strive in it. Ideas or business concepts are very vague. They do not guide you into achieving a particular success; rather they give you an opportunity to play with your money. The question is, are you ready to play with your money?

If you are not ready, then you should leave your money at the bank, its safer that way.

You must be ready to embrace that religion Entrepreneurship, and that means the idea would have to be built from within you, that is "How about offering to sell yourself?", Crazy as it may sound, the fact is, the moment you are able to achieve convincing people to buy you as an asset, then you have embraced and took the pledge in the religion Entrepreneurship.

So the question is, are you ready to sell yourself?
