Can't remember where I read this information, but I was surprised to learn that the same international banks that were lending money to the allied forces to prosecute WW2 were also lending money to the Germans. |
My good ol' Abia state is very well known, for some awesome things and a host of unsavory reasons: -Aba made merchandise: Not necessarily a bad thing if given the proper support from government to make original brands. - Legendary Aba crime. - Kidnapping: Even Mexicans talk say we take am too far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Orji Uzor Kalu: Such a noise maker, brought us unnecessary attention. Orji Uzor Kalu's mother: Anyi atala ahuhu okpoo! -Osisi ka Nkwu: RIP -Bakassi boys: Our little gift to the South East, turned rogues. - TA Orji: No comment. - The Abia 5: Bunch of h.orny guys that just had to make a s.ex t.a.pe!!!! Guyz, for real ![]() - PPA: Whatever happened to this little experiment? At least, Enyimba FC still dey make small noise. We have had our spectacular moments, and there's loads of potential. So Hope dey.!!!!! |
This is my understanding of the whole saga: Everything that has transpired, including the creation of man, is geared towards the VINDICATION OF GOD's CHARACTER. God knew that man would sin, but he created him with free will, knowing that ultimately some of us would embrace HIM, and some of us would reject HIM. We, humanity, are the JURORS in this case between GOD and the DEVIL. God is LOVE, and love is not without choice. So God made Man to bestow his endless love upon, and in return gave man the free will to see the magnitude of the love he has for us, and out of our own choice, love him in return. Anything short of this, would NOT be true love. The devil in his deception, in which he successfully convinced a 1/3 of the angels of God, accused God of high handedness, questioning His Holy character, HIS LOVE and the justice therein. It would be wrong, and would have proved the devil's point, if God as the accused in this case, had simply destroyed the devil and all the fallen angels. Humanity, and in particular, those of us that embrace God, and love him (the sort of Love that puts God above the self, and every other thing in this world, the Love that rejects sin), would VINDICATE THE CHARACTER OF GOD. The accused, in this case God, would not be the judge, RIGHTLY SO, hence humanity would serve as the juror. We would show that God is LOVE, GOD is JUST, and that he can be served out of one's own free will. This has always been the plan from the creation of man, to everything that transpired in the old testament, to the coming of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, to the second return of Christ to receive those that have Loved God. This is why the Devil and his agents, work so tirelessly to deceive anyone from loving God. Remember that to Love God is to keep his commands. The enemy would never stop in his quest to get man to reject God (he even had the audacity to tempt Jesus while he was on earth) because his only hope of avoiding the verdict that awaits him, is to prove that man, and indeed no creation of God would serve Him out of Love. The Bible, from the old testament to the new testament is succinct and conclusive in God's plan for humanity. I'm not a pastor or some extraordinary Bible scholar, but from what I deduce from the Bible, that plan is very much in tact, and God has not changed, neither has His Words. People get confused when they try to interpret the Bible to suit their circumstances and tweak God's Word to accommodate their sins. I'm convinced that love of self is the ultimate barrier that keeps us from God. So, there you have it, God put the Tree in the Garden, He knew the devil would tempt Eve, He knew man would sin, but would have the choice to love God or not. Man was made PARTIALLY for this special purpose; as the jurors in this greatest of all cases. Let me draw some parallels with jury duty here in the U.S, for illustration: - Remember, jurors are chosen from people who were not present at the incident. Man was not made when satan rebelled, and the angels of God, present at the rebellion are disqualified for this jury duty. - Jurors are again chosen from people who cannot be swayed by public opinion. Hence, man could not be made to be without the capability to sin against God, or without freewill, because that would swing the jury in the favor of God. THE EXISTENCE OF SIN IS A NECESSITY. - Lastly, and most important for us is that jurors are composed of law abiding citizens. So, really, the jurors in this case are those of us who love God and obey his commands. These are the law abiding citizens, whom are not compromised by sin, and have been found worthy of jury duty. So this does not sound like some figment of my imagination, I would leave you with these verses from the Bible: 1 Corinthians 6: 2-3 says: "Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3. DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT WE SHALL JUDGE ANGELS? How much more things that pertain to this life." |
@texazz Stooopid, brainless person, who told you Abians elected this fool. The powers that be, in typical Nigerian fashion, foisted him on the good people of Abia. @Dede1 are you Ngwa? |
Oldest trick in the book; whenever there is a call for solidarity among the ethnic groups of Eastern Nigeria, Nigeria's dark forces respond with the time-tested 'oh the Igbos want your oil'. By the way, how would the Igbos take anyone's oil if the people themselves do not have ownership control of the oil. The Igbos do not have control of the oil in the Igbo territories, and the same goes for the Ijaw, Ogoni, Efiks etc. The federal government controls the revenue derived from the oil, so how exactly are Igbos going to grab people's oil? |
We already had one genocide on Igbos, so there's precedence. It can definitely happen again if we keep going in the direction that we are going. In the midst of all these ethnic and religion inspired violent outbursts that we keep experiencing, all it takes is for one group to hit another or other groups where it really hurts, and things could disintegrate real quick. No one thought that the incidents that preceded the civil war and the genocide that followed, would have led us to war so quickly. Yes, Nigeria is in a combustible state, and I can throw out a couple of realistic scenarios that would surely ignite the whole thing, but I'd rather not. Let's hope for the best. |
Yeah, it wouldn't be as suspicious if the awkward silence had not occurred, and then she hangs up and hasn't called back. Consider yourself lucky, at least now you know what she's been up to, even though the cold treatment she had been giving you should have been a hint. It's tough, especially if you loved her, but man up, regroup and move on to bigger and better things. |
I would think that people would know when to put their political and ethnic biases aside, so that we can tackle an issue that threatens us all. If you actually know something that the president is not doing to curb this boko-haram menace, please say it, or do humanity a favor and shut your face!!!!!!!! |
I guess Mr. Jonathan never forgave Tinubu for calling him a 'drunk fisherman' |
Don't give them a dime! |
50% That's just rubbish. My Mom has been in the civil service in Abia state for many years, in different ministries. I'm very familiar with the system, and there's no way anything less than 90% of the civil servants are not from Abia. The few non-Abians I saw are people who are there by appointment and would leave with whatever administration they came in with or whenever the appointment is terminated. Maybe, because TA Orji announced it like it is some big achievement, people are overreacting like some big change is about to happen. There are sooooo few people that would be affected by this. I doubt you would find many non-indigenes in the civil service of other states, most can barely accommodate their own people not to talk of others. I blame Orji for making it a big deal, its pretty much the status quo in Nigeria. If you are not smart enough to grasp that this only applies to government workers, then I cannot help you.@onlytruth, clap for yourself. You are really impressed with this your Anambra, unfortunately we are NOT. It's your type that's driving a wedge in Igbo unity, with your unguarded comments. You can make your point without trying to insult the generality of Abians. |
Make she no go join cult sha! |
I keep hearing people accuse the president of being incompetent in this situation. Not saying that he is or not, but what exactly would any of you do in this situation that the President is not doing? He has deployed all the necessary security outfits, some of the best foreign agencies have been invited to help tackle the problem. The president does not have supernatural powers, he cannot wish the problem away. This form of terrorism is new to Nigeria, but every country that has faced this problem has had a lot of difficulty combating it. Truth be told, it's going to take a tremendous effort on the part of the security forces in Nigeria to quell this rebellion. There is a time to abandon our political, cultural or religious affiliations and unanimously confront a problem that threatens us all. This is one of those times. Let's not politicize this issue, it's beyond that. That's all I have to say. |
Simple answer to this proposal: It would NEVER happen. Case of jumping from frying pan to fire. |
Hahaahaha, so the whole country has to fight Van Damme's personal battles, with a young lady nonetheless. Ghana, you are messing up again. |
^^^^^Bros, take am easy with the kpoli, make we dey understand wetin you wan talk. Cheers. ![]() |
For some reason, IBB commands so much loyalty and admiration from his 'boys'. You never hear of an IBB loyalist flipping on him and taking sides against him. On the other hand, OBJ can't seem to maintain the loyalty of his own son. Even people he made ministers and governors have insulted him on various occasions. Who would have thought that Fani Kayode would make such disparaging comments against OBJ. It's like they all could not stand this dude but just put up with him for what they could benefit at the moment. He's probably the kind of guy that belittles, victimizes and ridicules you as he helps you, knowing that you don't have any other choices. Meanwhile, IBB's boys from over twenty years ago are as steadfast as ever. Not taking sides, but just observing this glaring difference in these two characters. |
Abeg help me answer one small question; where in this article did it say that the aggrieved were all Igbo people? So b'cos one i.diot comes to that conclusion, the rest of you sheepishly follow suit. This Igbophobia has really eaten deep into your psyches, at this point you are being chased by your own shadows. S.t.upid people. |
I take it back, just read Obj's statement, dude came out swinging too. Should be a good match. |
Lmao, that's some funny stuff conversation between those two. Really though, IBB s going ham on Obj and all the Ota farmer has to say is that he is a fool. We already know that they are both fools, so Obj aint telling us nothing. He needs to put his ghost writters to work before IBB does to him what 50cent did to JaRule. |
@ogugua88, U are right, its probably out of innocence rather than ignorance. I did not make my coment to spite the singer. Like I said, I like her stuff, especially the 'Lullaby' song,,,,,took me back to my childhood, and its very soulful. From my understanding, that hand gesture does have some connotations that I'm sure our innocent sister doesn't want to identify with. I know some street gang, a particular college frat, and numerous entertainers in the US affiliate themselves with this same hand sign or something similar, but some or most of them probably do not know its true meaning. Anyways, I wish the best of luck to Chika, nevermind the pathological haters of nairaland, they are as pathetic as it gets. |
I agree daroz is the FOOL of the day. Congratulations!!!!! |
-Otokoto -Awolowo -Arthur Nzeribe -Abiola |
I would like to believe that she is throwing up that hand sign out of ignorance, anybody that knows this beautiful girl should tell her to please find out the meaning of that hand gesture before she identifies with it. |
Very nice lyrics, and nice voice. I like it. But I agree, the production is not really the best, and the beats do tend to drown her voice,,,,,,,,,not her fault. It's just the quality of the production is not what it should be. |
Ghanaians are looking for relevance I guess, all this posturing and 'we hate nigerians' madness, is a all a cry for attention. Ever seen where a no-name rapper tries to lure Jay-Z into some kind of lyrical confrontation, knowing that win or lose, he emerges as the guy that had 'beef' with Jay Z. That is all this is, a desperate need to be heard. Ok, we have heard you, but you need to get your weight up so we can take you seriously. All 10 of you ( abi na 8, how many Ghanainas are there again?) mean nothing to us, so I'm sorry if we don't notice you. It's nothing personal. |
@milky Never mind the idiots, they are desperately looking for any means to down the product. Lets leave the tribalists behind and move our country forward. |
The real cannibals are these people trying to burn the dudes just because they were looking scruffy and eating 'meat'. Na wa o. When real criminals come around nobody has the courage to challenge them,,,,,,dey go just shoot for air, and everybody go evaporate like say dem drop nuclear weapon. |
