Excuses !and  nothing but excuses, that's what we like to give for everything, I wish those who are defending Mrs Jonathan's  on this thread that they make no efforts at all to correct their children and make them read properly . We know English is not our native language, we all learn it but when you are becoming a public figure you become a source of inspiration and reference for other people below you.

She knowing this when she was  adeputy governors wife ought to have started grooming herself for public life which includes speech deliveries but offhand and on paper. however because there would be this same old lame excuses , she care not to do that. It would not take you 6months of real hard work to do the grooming ordinarily and given the amount of resources available for that.

Salawa Abeni was a good example of a lesser educated individual that did self improvement on her English in a very short time with realisation of the need to, coupled with the determination to do so.

Truely.,it is obvious that she's not well educated and cares less about her position and what it means to millions  of both young and old females and the whole of in Nigeria and Nigerians. A typical Nigerian politician with circumstantial providence bestowed on him will mostly not care about what is placed on his laps but will eat it and smear his whole face with the broth

Some of us grew up in the village with heavily accented english nonetheless we could read and speak eloquently still heavily accented however lol! because we know we are going out to struggle with city boys for a living and we cannot rep our village with ill constructed and spoken english

Some one has not answered the question, why do the Igbos hate Yorubas this much and will at any given time be very ready to prove their superiority. Well I gues that's the reason why you have many more Igbos in Yoruba land and else where being allowed to thrive ( live, do their business, settle have properties, living peacefully and even in some cases plotting and succeeding in displacing some of the indegenes from any business they have interest .

It is of note that these kind of stupidity ( except the last one ) is not reciprocated in Igbo land and w will allow you to come and develop and when you feel like going as some wise ones amongst you have been drumming, will go with the investments and we shall go back to our peaceful self.

The Igbos fear what they do not understand (Yorubas) and Hate what they cannot conquer (Yorubas). The more you do that, the more the equation moves away from you. This is a natural law "you don't bite the fingers that feed you". The more the general Igbos become less appreciative of what The Yoruba race and other races in Nigeria but most especially the Yorubas (emphasis) have contributed to their self professed Superiority and successes, the more the leadership or ruler-ship captain-ship and other -ship -ships of and in this country will elude them. This attitude has been and still engender mistrust of your race , and this is what you see everyday in the attitude of majority of Igbo traders,businessmen, professionals and even pastors of "Igbo churches". You better Wake up my Brothers.

All adherents of all major religions in Nigeria will rather have their religion to be visible in every aspects of the society, and as a christian, I have no objection whatsoever to any kind of religious laws as long as it is only restricted to the adherents of such religion , however, when it violates the constitution and it is applied unto people of other religion as it is liable to happen in Nigeria judging by the antecedents of an average Political Muslim especially from  the North and lately in the south! Then my objection.

It is of little or non significance what he (Buhari) wished to be institutionalised 10 yerars ago because he has good reasons then which is not the same reason those state governors proposed and indeed effect it in their states but time has te Buhari has the right to say what he wishes and you have the right to either vote him or not, I asked which is most important, sharia, orkija shrine or good governance and country?

In christianity, are there suppose to be priests( PASTORS,PROPHETS AS WE HAVE IT TODAY,), and if they are to be, are they supposed to be fulltime or part time?. WHAT DO WE OFFER TO IN CHURCHES THESE DAYS) IS THE CHURCH MEANT TO TAKE CARE OF HER IMMEDIATE NEEDS OR SAVE FOR FUTURE NEEDS AND WHAT ARE THESE NEEDS, DO THEY INCLUDE SALARIES WAGES OR ALLOWANCES FOR THE PRIESTS. IF WE HAVE A HIGH PRIEST WHO HAS MADE THE SACRIFICES THEN WHAT ARE THE "LOWER PRIESTS STILL OFFERING? I THINK A LOT OF CHURCHES WILL BE QUICK TO JUDGE  AND DEMOLISH TRY AS THEY CAN THE OLDER AND TRADITIONAL CHURCHES, ESPECIALLY THE WHITE GARMENTS OR AFRICAN CHURCHES SAYING THEY ARE TOO OLD TESTAMENT CHURCHES AND WORST STILL "NON BIBLE BELIEVING CHURCHES". HOWEVER PAYMENT OF TITHES OFFERINGS AND FIRST FRUITS TO ENLARGE AND ENRICH OUR SHRINES TO GOD ALMIGHTY (THE CHURCH ) ARE THE TEACHINGS AND PRECEPTS DERIVED FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT. HOWEVER IF ANY HUMAN TAKES UPON HIMSELF THE POSITIONS AND THE DUES OF ALMIGHTY GOD WELL HE IS LOOKING. WE ARE TO STUDY THE WORD AND GROW IN IT AS MUCH AS THE SPIRIT GIVES THE POWER NOT TO BE FED BY SOME ONE THAT STILL NEED TO BE FED. BUT LET EVERY MA DO WHAT IS RIGHT IN HIS CONSCIENCE AND HE WILL BE BLESSED. DON'T FOLLW WHAT YOU ARE NOT CONVINCED IN YOOUR SPIRIT TO DO. GOD BLESS. AMEN

Men are to be trained to listen though but women too need it more this days as roles and society is changing rapidly. Most ladies Don't know how to listen.It should be noted that a man is a boy forever! and will need a WOMAN to keep him not a girl. That's what most ladies these days ain't .

Psssssss , Whatever. someone is but in most cases mothers brought their son to be. I think The company (Bi-courtney ) is just lazy i the sense that , why does she decide to expand an existing road which was not dilapidated anyway but only inadequate for the traffic and cost it so much as if you are building an new 80km road. The amount spent on those toll gates is enough to build extra kms of road. They could have looked at another area and build a new road. It just shows yhat service to humanity is not what is on her mind but money and only money . Imagine three toll gates in that short distance at ( Ridiculous ! inhuman!! Devilish!!! and PDPISH!!!!

For Lagos state government , well they allow themselves in the mess and now will cost them dearly to undo. WHAT FOR GOD SAKE IS THE SANITY IN expanding and existing road and placing a toll on it. The same thing was done in along Isheri - Iyana iba road but no toll plaza and it was funded by the state and no toll is collected till date . What makes Lekki Expressway different, why your courtship with by Bi -courtney on this road why not ask their interest?

This for sure is a sore on the AC government and it's loosing if not lost it's popularity in that axis. If you didn't take the Aworis and the Lagosians and the Eguns for Granted in te execution of projects , why take the Ijebu speaking people for granted on this. To do any thing in Eko, the whole Eko people will be consulted why disregard these people.?This is the same mistake the old AD Govts made especially in Ogun and Ekiti states and they payed for it. Though the people are suffering for their decision going to the , now but not withstanding I just hope the people of this axis would not make same mistake by going to the other party.

However, suspension of payment of tolls is just a postponement of Armageddon. Fashola should do something permanent that will salvage his Govt

A Yoruba saying goes thus Araba tun ara mu Odo ngba rere Meaning  the Boabab tree be more care full as the stream is pcking up momentun i.e packing everything. The ACN is on the verge of making same mistake AD and the Governors made pre-2003 by becoming too confident, too comfortable and insulting people's sensibilities( Osoba and Former Ekiti state Government) . As much as people including self will want ACN or any other party except PDP to hold  sway in the southwest and other parties including PDP to be in government in other states, I will not subscribe to past Glories or a party becoming too comfortable thus leading to mediocre and inept Government.

At this moment in the southwest, we need aggressive development especially in the area of having "Community Wealth" and not wealth (cash)in the hands of some idiots as a result of their politicking and politics rather than through service to their people which I believe and pbserve is the fundamental principle of Power to Da People which is not and never and ever what will bring the Southwest and indeed Nigeria to the where we talk about it to be.

I hope some people thinking because alll we are hearing from Lagos could be a sign of the Beginning of the end like it happened in the pre- 2003 era. Long live Nigeria

The question is vague , go to do mosque to worship, to fellowship to pray or to distrupt prayers or worship. Whatever it is, there should be respect of other people places of worship. Yes a christian may Go and pray, observe ( if he want s to convert to Islam) ask questions on researches , join them in celebrations and like every other thing with an open and plain mind afterwards he is blessed. "The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof"

This kind of thread is unfortunate as the follow ups once again shows that spreading the Gospel of our faith is not our pre-occupation again but self righteousness and looking for who to look down on( victims) . I am christian but will not judge another's faith based on my own. there is no locus standi ab initio . let each spread His faith without comparing with other faithand leave the converts to their own judgement and decisions . To the chriastians here ABEG stop sounding and thinking otherwise and to you the Moslem sweetnctar all the Derogatory things you said about Jesus and christianity, was is it the same thing and or in the same vehement attitude it is written in the Al-Quoran. Christians I beg and implore you all again to at all time work towards peace in our land do not become an instrument for religious and intra-denominational bigotry and sentiments.

Of all these people against somebody should just please, please and please tell me what evidence do they have for their allegations , dislike or hated as the case may be.OF WHAT SIGNIFICANCE is his whatever, to their christianity. Iam so appalled at Christians nowadays , we don't talk about the Power of God in our lives and that of our community but we deal so much on intellectual arguements which brings nothing but VANITy. This is typical of the intellectually endowed memmbers of the "new christian denominations in Nigeria and this attitude of knowing it all and more than others, can explain it all and if not as educationally qualified and toooshed up , then it's inferior , barbaric, unholy unworthy and undeserving. Christians I say wake up!

Good discussion yomyukk and the rest though not a member of celestial church but of the conviction that God deals with all human beings according to their measure of faith, will relate and not put more on us that we can ever bear. C&S , Cele , CAC, Church  of the Lord a.ka. Aladura  are instruments used and still used by God to Bring Salvation tp those He created to have peculiar temperaments and experiences and that has produced tremendous results . It may look, sound, feel, and judged inferior unpolished unfashionable , however it is the lords doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. We should really look back and realise that  many people converted into Christianity by First-hand personal experience with God and His saving power from these so called churches that are now being demonized.

These churches CCC inclusive might have had charlatans infiltrated the ranks of the church and inmost cases warped the doctrines of the church  but that would not erode the fact that God is Living and will continue to live in this Churches. These churches especially C&S and CCC though need to  do :spiritual re awakening by going back to the  true Day-1 Foundations and doctrines ( not the sensational s that has been allowed to creep in) , re organization without loosing their identities and keep the flag flying , we are not Pentecostals( and not less Christians  we have our own God given saltiness which is for His pleasure  . He has been strengthening our faith by the way we believe in Him and has never failed the church.

Lastly to you members of these African churches( Aladura , C&S, CCC, etc) Revere your elders don't stop at nothing to ask questions and get answers about the admin of the church preach the Gospel of Christ and not the denomination continue to seek God as you've been doing  don't make much attempt to through speaking and writing to change their mind about  your church. The church has been under such attacks as long as I can remember (I'm in my mi- thirties) and nothing you say or write will make them change their impression. They 've been poaching and will continue to poach your members but it is normal and expected as it all in a bid to spread Christianity.
