I want to say that hardly is there anyone who has at a time or the other perpetrated or participated actively in reaping the benefit(s) of any of the afore mentioned reasons. This calls for a sober reflection and for us to really think about what we want. I want to add my own submission and one main reason is to me is that makes us live in a new world with an old mind is RELIGION WITHOUT FAITH ( mainly " Christians and Moslems" . In our country here it is hinged on the bolded. We defend this religion from not the faith in God which it ultimately preaches but on politics. Rather than access and bring the humanity into the religion, we are engrossed with knocking out and judging each other from our different religious stand points. Nobody prepares Amala or Fufu or Tuwo by stirring the pudding in the other direction but towards self. Rather than we the adherents read understand and pray to God or Allah for the the understanding of the principles of the letters and the applications in each situations and endeavors, just like the two individuals the adherents of these religions claims they look up to( Jesus and Mohammed). We take the letters in its face values and use it for the desecration of humanity rather than the improvement and THIS is very obvious from the posts here seen on Nairaland. Furthermore, we start bringing up political issues that happened thousands of years back in strange far away counties that had no bearing on us and their offspring ( modern counties) that does not give a breath about our welfare and wellbeing Economically, culturally, socially and even religiously except they want to extend their dominations). We keep aligning ourselves with such without thinking about the fact that our own destiny really is in our hands. Some parts of the country in Christianity started same some years back in this identit and allignment issue taking cognisance of our cultures and traditions ( not the religious)and today, they,ve carved their identity although not popular but it creates them different and they are nonetheless Christians. Of what political economical and social and indeed religious relevance is the issue that happened between the Europeans and the Middle East ( Arabs Persians Berbers and Hebrews) hundred of years back to me ?. Spain , Greece, Malta, Tunisia and Turkey have for long left that chapter and are moving ahead infact making money from relics of the conflicts. It is for us in Africa and indeed Nigeria to start looking inward into our humanity and ourselves first and how to better ourselves Practicing opur religions with faith and not the politics and stop Comparing prices between religion loke women in markets and as much as possible, remove thT FROM OUR POLITY, and I think our society will be better. |
Truly , enlightenment, common sense, modesty and true religion and Nationalism has nose dived in this country and believe you me if our Nigerian Moslems and indeed Christians continue in this way, we'll have no standards to behold again. There's a gradual and consistent increase in fanaticism and justification of deviant, behaviour to authority under the guise of religion and in real sense it has nothing to do with religion or better put Faith ( both Christianity and Islam) and we are not seeing the damage we are creating for ourselves. The people of Saudi Arabia, UAE , Cote D'Voire, Senegal Bahrain, Tunisia,Jordan, Lebanon, even Egypt, Iran Iraq understands what it means to be a national of a country and are indeed nationalistic inspite of their general religious inclinations and most of these countries are far better with whatever they have than we here with all that we have. I said it earlier that the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs will have to wade into issues such as this. Let's practice religion in the proper way within the ambit of the law and order and not just be unnecessarily deviant JUST TO PROVE A POINT THAT WE ALL ALREADY KNOW. These two religions are really tearing this country into pieces. May God have mercy. |
Thank you and God bless. I'm 100% for freedom of expression , religion and everything but we need to do it within the ambit of the law and authority of the LAND and if there is any reasonable dissent, then let's bring it to the notice of those who have the authority to effect the change in a way which is acceptable to the dictates of the law at the least, i guess that's widely accepted by the religions. Ileke-IdI: |
I don't think it defiles no one to obey the laws of the land. I know in the military and paramilitary there are people of different faiths and believes and they are allowed to practice their religion some are even clerics ( both Muslims and Christians ) and they conform with the general principles of the uniform and perform their religious rights in their religious regallia whenevr the duty calls but not admixing their uniform with other paraphernalia . For God sake must everything be protest and daring ? |
Please right it in full |
Truth be said this has nothing to do with religion, it's just pure unadulterated deviant behavior being expressed by these girls or women as the case may be actively challenging the authority of the country because this is a National Uniform prescribed by the Country. The provision of the NYSC prescribe the Dressing of Youth Corps Members in National service, which does not disturb anybody from performing your whatever religious rights. Imagine members of the Armed Forces, the police and the other para military organizations adding their individual religious relics with their uniform. Aside from sikhs in India, I've not heard of this kind of admixtures in any paramilitary uniforms like we have in Nigeria (NYSC) even in the Arab and Muslim countries. But what do we see here in this our country? Anybody decides to challenge this will be dubbed an enemy of Islam, thereafter your guess is as good as mine. I think the Supreme Council of Islam has to look into this and educate these people who are supposed to educate the society about citizenship civil rights that this is nothing but a crass expression of deviance and DISGRACE |
From the different comments I've read so far, my held belief that few are really Christians or Muslims is more reinforced. The way at which people made comments ( unfortunately and so sorely) attacking and justifying these religions come to speak of the simple truth that they don't understand the depth of these faiths. Just like languages culture and distinct communities, each of them has its uniqueness which reveals God Almighty plainly if the adherents really studies with no guile or bitternes within them. The faithfuls of these religion needs to understand that plainly as God may reveals the scriptures, there are issues we cannot just interpret literally. The first words in the Al Quoran I think are "read in the name of your Lord " ( If I'm wrong please correct me )I can understand, If you read you'll think and understand, you read , pray and come to the revelation of what you read , then you'll understand what God wants you to apply in the given situation, that is what makes you different, that is what makes Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) different from the others that read the same words of the Al Quoran at that time and now. Furthermore, the Prophet exhort the Muslims or adherents of the faith to do the same but did not at any point tell them to insult or debase the Faith of either the Christians or Jews or interfere with their believes ONLY THAT YOU MAY NOT TAKE PART IN THEIR RITUALS OR RELIGIOUS RIGHTS . And to each one he has given something and according to the bible, it is said you should hold TO WHAT IS GIVEN TO YOU. Seeing this I see that really why any Christian or Muslim who has read , studied and did the same thing ( meditate and got revelation and understanding of the principles and not the literal word) of what is being read should continue to engage in the unwholesome acts of not divulging the spiritual from the etheral and political interpretations given to the words on either sides and continue in the insults , hatred undue comparison and crass JEALOUSY of each other. Just a few people on this thread had shown some level of this understanding and maturity and I think these are the TRUE CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS. MAY GOD ALMIGHTY ( WHATEVER IT IS CALLED IN ANY LANGUAGE BUT MINE IS OLORUN OLODUMARE)BE PRAISED. AMEN |
In 2004, a friend of mine who earned 65k monthly got married, rented an apartment started a family and took care of his parents ( who were retired ) and his 2 siblings . All these he was able to accomplish with that salary within the year he was employed. The guy has no excuse on 90k at that time in Nigeria was like 157k now. That's well more than enough. I think one of the reason that the medical profession is no more lucrative or paying is not because there are so many practitioners but Allowing Doctors in Government employment having their own hospitals or having more than one hospitals. It gives and undue advantage and more,it chokes up the opportunities for those who are not employed by government or any establishment. Second is greed, I commented before that during my time till date, the first thing a fellow doctor asked another who just announced his or her getting a new job is " How much is the pay". As if that's all that matters. It actually corroborates the fact that a lot of doctors of our age and now are really in the profession not for the love but for the prestige, the money and not primarily the love of the job. May God help us |
Most definitely yes but to someone I respect regard and I adjudged sound because some types and aspect of discipline that are necessary, some of us as parents and individuals cannot dispense or handle adequately. To those who will not allow their child to be disciplined by someone else well nothing bad with that I just advice advise likewise that they should not ask for help or favour of any sort from someone else for their child ![]() |
Ada Nri1: That's because JEHOVAH is the GOD we worship. Here we go again with premature ejaculators who don't understand and will not keep quiet to learn but keep interjecting and intruding into unfamiliar terrain. Who says Ifa or Yoruba religion worships the idols and not ultimately God Almighty. Does write ups and the different ODUs mention at anytime the worship of ifa ? The intolerance the embers of which they fan in their places of worships in their region, is creeping if not already established now in Yorubaland. Awon obun apa sio sio. |
Me say what's the big deal in calling you a black man , are you not a black man? Or if someone calls you a monkey are you a monkey, if not, then does it matter ? However, the fine is too much now say wetin ? 60,000 PS Choi !!! That's someone entire wage bill of whole company with production engineer, accountants, technicians and other skilled and unskilled workers with change. The fine is rather bogus!!! Typical English RACIST judgement I guess. |
I am one of the few people that don't believe I have to stoop low to fair skinned ( white, arabs, asian etc) However with so much happening around in this country where even Nigerians that have gone to Federal Universities and are gainfully employed still have this disdain, dislike and comes with repulsive comments and actions about this country, then seeing and Arab o or Palestine, Persian, or middle easterner or even white taking up the nationality of this country , went to school abroad and came back to do serve under the NYSC (which we all know given opportunity , most guys will rather do something else), then it should be commended. The fact that he was referred to as white instead of whatever race does not matter and I think that's the problem here. We seem not to appreciate the lil' tings around us including our existence, that's why I think is the reason our country is inthis state. We have extended the ethnic hatred we have for ourselves to the poor guy who at least we have to be proud of. Someone whom I believe will amount to a little calling the guy poo and other derogatory adjectives because he's an Arab, if they in the past hate you, does he hates you or does he take part in the slave trade. The same unwarranr]ted nonesense we tell ourselves irresponsibly on a daily basis on this forum we've extended to him. Thus I conclude that majority of us here are just irresponsibly full of hatred and with this attitude, this country has a very looong way to go if we have a future. |
I know abeokuta very well at least secondary school and polytechnic education I had in the town and then , I used to tell my friends that the newly costruted road from post office through igbein to sapon then down to ijaye through adatan will soon become inadequate for the status of the state. Less than 10 years after that Abeokuta roads became choked up with. Some people came and could notdo anything and some is now doing something in the road expansion and some people are talking dust here. So Abeokuta should continue to look old and dilapidated ? well wouldn't say much. For those who are talking about other areas remember the Saying "Ibi pelebe lati nmu ole je. when you are to have your bath , you start the scrubbing from somewhere before moving elsewhere. Just exercise li'l patience, they soon get to your side. Mind you I'm not from Egba, I'm Ijebu ( inside inside ) and I know this development will take a while before getting to my area, but no qualms as long AS THERE IS MOMENTUM IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION THEN the development will get there at the right time. |
This is not an issue of tribalist which anyway is nothing wrong going by what highly respected Justice Oputa rtd said. However, you could not throw stone at someone and expect the person to blow you air. Nobody hates anybody but statements that emanates from people like you leaves one to wonder what. Of what positive and honorable effect does your writings have, that you'll bastardize the name of a tribe just because you wanna make a comment and you are talking about TRIBALISTS HAVING THEIR DAY. I simply pity people like you basher: All the tribalists are busy here having their daily fix of ethnic bashing trying to prove (to whom I don't know) that pot is more black than kettle. |
So what is it about mud houses, are they not habitable, does that relate to human intelligence, don't even know why I'm responding to you if you are so low as to bastardizing the name of a race or a tribe or an ethnicity whatever that is applicable, then you lack no self respect and dignity and we are definitely not of same spp. atuboweke: Some of these ofe mmanu guys ranting out here are not even from Lagos State. I was in Ondo state last weekend for a friend"s trad marriage. I was shocked with what i saw, the area was so remote with mud houses and bushes. and so is the same with most yeriba states. so whats the noise about Lagos. Lagos should even be better than it is considering that it was the nations capital for a long period. |
Recently I went to Noman'land in Kano to buy tire and was appalled at the sorry state of the roads , then asked the trader why are they not doing anything if the government of the state abandon. He replied that well this no be their land , they only here to trade and that residents and traders in Sabongeri/ Nomanslnd are the only people paying btax in the state, yet they are abandoned. I now ask , you are here doing your business and you loathe the Land that allows you to thrive, by way of not caring about the environment and you expect real blessing, nope, you'll only get temporal blessing (money) but not a lasting one. The attitudes , skill and knowledge understanding and the initiative to develop even your own towns will ELUDE you because you must have become so selfish self centered and timid that you'll not realize the damage you do to yourself by your INGRATITUDE and DISSERVICE to your resident and HOST community. Sorry bro, YORUBALAND (LAGOS and the west ) and KANO including the whole North can, have and will survive without Igbos or any tribe and may be better off as they'll adjust and do their things at their own pace. You ask yourself if you can survive as much as you think ON YOUR OWN and if your answer is YES then MOVE OUT( MIGRATE) out of those places and leave. THEY DON'T NEED YOUR PRESENCE if you think you are INDISPENSABLE. Fashola is doing a better job not the best anyway, the momentum is awesome!!! , but people talk of resources, will they compare Lagos with any other state in terms of VISIBLE CHALLENGES? The challenges in Alimosho area alone overshadows some states inthis country. I came to Lagos last week and I was( would have used AM because I'm still) impressed at what I see some sanity is coming back to some area, it might not have spread throughout the syte but in any way . I give KUDOS. Sometimes I think most of this guys talking what they like without thinking has never been elsewhere and are just teenagers and people in their 20's . I know what Lagos used to be in the 80's what happened late 80's to the early 2000s and what we are seeing now. i know it is getting better. People just come to Lagos and decide to do ( illegalities and anti socials) they cannot do in their villages and when government decide to clean up the nonsense , they start talking about rights and insensitivity. How could a government acceed to such. |
Truly , it is unfortunate and disheartening if any Yoruba man on this forum will still continue to join issues with anybody from any tribe or ethnicity on the issue of Biafra, civil war etc. Who wants to live in the past history based on sentiments and lies should continue. It hasn't and will never pays them and no matter what they do hate or dislike Yoruba, their tribe and their people will forever RELY on the blessing that is naturally endowed in the YORUBA LAND . Rather than being grateful let them continue, in their rain of insults , the OBVIOUS IS VISIBLE. sHEBI THE RULERSHIP OF THIS COUNTRY IS WHAT IS KILLING THEM NA ? With these inorrigible attitude, it is a sure banker they'll get it. It is the realization of the fact that leadership and rulership is becoming elusive that's why they continue to HATE WHAT THEY CAN'T CONQUER. Ki won ma jo lo , a w'eyin won. K'o seni to sipe inaro fun abuke. |
Yes I enjoyed the free education program, but whether the government of the day steals or not, Nigeria and indeed most of the states are lagging behind in social, infrastructural and other amenities. These including education are necessary for development but as things are presently, no government world wide can provide freee education up till the university level. Besides that, university education and other post secondary school education should not be made compulsory but a necesssary personal choice which the seeker SHOULD be ready to pay for. One of the reasons why we cannot protest on poor state of facilities and level of lecturing tutoring , mentoring and directing in our universities and the sorry state of a good number of our undergraduate not really representing the undergraduate status is because THEY PAY VIRTUALLY SOMETHING NON COMMENSURATE WITH WHAT THE EDUCATION REALLY IS WORTH. As much as it is a populist idea which I commend him for in the first place, let us remove our mind from this AWUF mentality and get serious and be ready to pay even a reasonable token for education ( something reasonably weighty). ifysoft: You enjoyed free/low fee education then because our leaders were not stealing too much.. |
You amaze me whoever you are but less equally not funny. seanet01: So oju iku is this irresponsible? He have a child outside without his family members Knowing. Ha God Bless Awolowo, he taught to be morally upright even in Death |
I enjoyed free education up to class 2 also enjoyed low tuition university education 80-90s and i'm absolutely thankful for it. However I hope I would not be insulted for saying that looking at the prwsent situatio in the country, I don't subscribe to free education from anything beyond the JS3 level. After this level, education ( formal ) should be a choice and I would only subscribe to subsidized education or the one in which it would look like a loan for going through STATE OR FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES AT THIS PRESENT SUBSIDIZED RATE WITH AN UNDERTAKING TO REPAY THE GOVERNMENT BACK THE BALANCE ON COMPLETION OF THE EDUCATION OVER A PERIOD OF TIME THAT IS NEGOTIABLE. We really need to see the need for a highere level of responsibility from citizens to the government and the alma mata. There's nothing wrong if the said refund is channeled directly into the alma mata acount so that funds could be made available directly for projects and developments. Imaging that most of us that attended Federal Schools at very cheap rates compared to those that attended state universities and even private ones will come out and still complain that we've not benefited from the government. Well the governor should just look at his ballance and think thorough this gesture, if it'll be in the loong term interest of the state. Npt as regarding the non-indegenes but indegenes alike. |
The Almajiri's are whose responsibility before the govt ? their parents right , so whpo and where are their parents. What happened to the teacher they were sent to learn the Islamic studies, is he not collecting something from the parents and if he's not, why did he decide to take care odf what he cannot take care of. Most Almajiri's in my own opinion are as a result of parents and the teachers irresponsibility and not government or the society and the latter should not be blamed for it. There are motherless babies home dotted all over the country and social welfare ( govt) owned houses where legitimately abandoned kids are nurtured. Buhari, past leaders, government nor the society should be blamed for the existence of Almajiri's. How could someone says that Buhari has an inordinate quest for power, he is a Nigerian and sees the ROT and gross indiscipline that is RULING and RUINING this potentially great country of ours. he thinks he knows how to tackle it and he is putting himself on the spot and you are talking of inordinate ambition for power. Abeg free this country jare. |
My sincere condolences to the husband children and General Buhari on the loss of their beloved , May her soul rest in perfect peace and May Almighty God give them the fortitude to bear the loss in Jesus Name. Amen. To those who at this time still allow rottenness in their belly and spew such contents out on this faceless forum should watch it. All that we say, we do we perform let us be careful, for the Lord God Almighty will bring all to Judgement , and all hidden things be it good or bad. People still die elsewhere in the world after child birth not even when it complicated with the mother being a SICKLER. Why would anybody blame Buhari or any other Government in Nigeria for the rot in the health services, why is nobody asking our health practitioners especially our doctors who had been stifling the system with their inordinate quest for maintainance of relevance which they can never lose but are hysterical about loosing it. What are our doctors who are the head of all the health institutions and organizations doing with the LEADERSHIP they have? Are they really concerned about the patients and services or MONEY and positions? Some of them in the FEderal ministry are after nothing but programmes that will yeild money. They'll rather stay in the ministry than be posted into the feild ( hospitals) and if they are , they are not ready to clerk any patient but looking for juicy appointments. Some of them having their private clinics which they sometimes reffered to as hospitals , spends their time at their business more than the Government hospitals where they are emplyed. The y infact =refer patients to those hospitals . What is happening with the management of the COST RECOVERY SCHEME In all the hospital that runs one, are they allowing the proper working of the scheme? How much do they allow the progress in other healthcare services and professions? How do Doctors both in private and public Hospitals manage the NHIS capitaions and funds for their benmeficiaries? Do they really give the services as they are supposed to. Do this hospitals (private ) employs qualified personnel ( nurses , pharmacists, comm health workers) to man the proper health services.? What is happening with the NURSES and Their attitude, are they really doing the job, bedside nursing and all that is required of them ? Most of them are engrossed with causing problems with doctors and other personnel. Mostly when they become SNO or above, they are now like queeens and the discipline of the job is now thrown to the dust bins. they'd rather stay in the offices than do or supervise the work. This is worse in the service hospitals. What about the pharmacists who keep on whining over disrespect and disregard of doctors and hospital management. Most of 'em are engrossed with the money they ll make from drug suppliers etc. To counsel patients and follow up with pharmaceutical care is not done, but will give the excuse that the setting of the pharmacy outlay does not allow the professionalism and others Are all this to be blamed on General Buhari ? Is he a sponsor of BH or what are people insinuating. some of us are suffering from the aftereffects oh BH by way of loss of family members and a depletion in business volumes but not blaming it on him cause we know wats up. Someone should ask questions about how judisciouly the little that is being budgeted and dispensed to our hospitals is being spent and the efficiency and dedication of all the staff ( ALL STAFF)both in Hospitals and Ministries of health to quality service to quality service and the PATIENTS. Like I said earlier, if you think because NL is a faceless forum and thus you can come out here and concoct and spew evil, then Almighty God is watching you. Once again may her soul rest in perfect peace and may she sleep in the bosom of the Lord . Amen |
afam4eva: I think they should have proffered an alternative to okadas. We only know how to condemn but never profer solutions."ONAC, has called for a five-year long term plan to completely phase". This is from the opening thread , I understand here a phased implementation meaning between now and the end of the five years efforts will have been made for the alternatives to be in the final execution phase. This I agree to. I patronize okada, but it;s a menace. |
There's military barracks in Auchi of course the issue however is the military in Nogeria and elsewhere CANNOT take initiative on such issues unless the the authorities from above give the order ( Jurisdiction) . In this case the need for help has to be initiated by the police. Any military commander that deploy troops without authorization even in the face of similar occurrence risk being tried and booted out of the military. YThe thing is the police , how quick did they respond either directly confronting the robbers or seeking help promptly. It's so sorry that thois is happening in my beloved Auchi iamtheprincipal: I got winds of it that the whole town of Auchi was held in siege by armed robbers last night. I wish the military presence around that town would be increased. I pray no life is lost... |
silly you victorD3: There is nothing an Igbo man would do without bringing a lil fraud in it |
afam4eva: You say worst things about Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP but when someone extends a similar largess to someone you like, you start crying blue murder. Whatever happened to having different opinion. At least people on this forum can ascertain that unlike you, i'm not affiliaated to any party whatsoever. So, if there's anybody that should be bias it should be you. You guys also accuse me of Tribalism yet on this same forum i keep calling for the heads of Theodoore Orji and Peter Obi. If i were a tribal cun.t, won't i be here praising Theodore Orji as the best governor in Nigeria? The sooner you're realise that not everyone is buying your ACN progressive bullshite the better. Fashola may have done considerably well in some sectors but for me he has failed woefully in human development considering the money he has at his disposal. I only cited other governors are are doing relatively well in this department because one GARRI guy asked me to. This is not the time to be emotional. Just continue spreadin your one-sided falsehood while people like us speak the truth and damn whose ox is gored. And don't forget to label us bitter tribalistic animals. Thank You.tHE MONEY AT HIS DISPOSAL AND THE ENORMITY OF THE JOB. IF YOU REALISE THE ROT IN LAGOS AND THE IMPUNITY AT WHICH MOST RESIDENTS ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO CAME IN LESS THAN 20 YEARS AGO IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR TRIBE OR ETHNICITY THEN YOU'LL REALISE THAT THE GOVERNOR IS NOT DOING BAD (NOT THE BEST THOUGH) EVEN IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND A MAINTENANCE OF THAT TEMPO IS REALLY REQUIRED FOR LAG TO MOVE ON. NOT POLITICS |
Ishilove: We cant be deceived by well crafted 'achievement' of lagos state govt. Fashola shud tell us which country on earth builts a mega city within 8yrs. At a great cost lagosians hv bn strangulated to give way to mega city stunt... Stores/structures and business centres demolished to actualise his dream of transforming lagos into another Newyork or Boston! Many have given up their ghosts because bulldozers with the active connivance of a heartless police officer supol bayo sulaiman came calling and pull down people's houses and structures with reckless abandon. If fashola is to be applauded he shud put a halt to the current demolitions of peoples houses. It is wicked and ungodly to throw family into the cold and homelessness.Unmgh , mind you, most of those houses are illegally built, next is but they've been paying tax and are approved. Then let them produce the legitimately approved papers and sue the state government. You see, we mostly will not do what we are doing in Lagos in our respective villages and towns. But we'll come to Lag and start behaving like it has no government and authority in place. The fact that something was overloooked for years doesn't mean it will remain fiorewver when it's time expires that's the fate of most illegal land owners and building owners in Lagos including my relatives. |
LEaving politics alone I don't really kn0w why people don't get it that the banning of okada as I understand is not total ., their operation is only restricted to inner roads which to me is highly welcome. Why do we think only of money over human lives , how many of the okada riders have and observe the minutest road traffic regulation, howmany of them give a hoot about the state of whom the convey, how many broken bones and accident and even death had they caused , how many people have to pay for their reclessnes ?.Are there no visible alternatives to coming to Lagos to become an okada rider ? I am presently not in Lagos in Abuja where there used to be drones of okada and I know the hell in the city before their ban, and the level of sanity which is better anyway on the roads. Abeg haters just give it tot this guy and stop giving yourself unnecessary bad spirit. He's not perfect though but he's doing a good job. If you think some governors are doing better in their states investing in their people , then relocate to those states and go along with your okada . Nigeria is big enough to take disgruntled okada riders , infact kano city is a drivers and environmental nightmare becAUSE of okADA and will definitely welcome more |
@ brentkruge Thanks for comment, looking well at circumstances as I know it to be in most cases up here, and knowing how we normally talk or express ourselves especially from the south, the tailor in actual sense was commenting about how and equally complimenting the guy looks great in the beautiful dress and that he (the one putting on the dress and looking like a prophet) has come to the market (my shop). Just like your visitor looking extra fly and or pious and you saying that the angel has descended unto the person. @A solbil , a christian saying is that be quick to hear but slow to reply also a song says (i'll write in plain english) christians do not relax, hear what your angel said, you are int he midst of enemies BE CAREFUL. Be careful of anything that could harm you physically , emotionally and spiritually. Infact, the guy that the statement was made to might not really have reacted adversely but trouble makers are all around waiting for the next opportunity to take their wicked Un-Islamic ( ? though) anger and rage on whosoever gives them the minutest opportunity. If Christians can be just wise including moi. brentkruge: Please read well before posting; |
Some christians or people never learnt anything, why make a joke which ordinarily means nothing to or before people are known to go bunkers and blood and life thirsty whenever they perceived rightly or wrongly anything that even in their religion is not considered obnoxious. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE should you play or asssume friendship or familiarity with a wild animal no matter how long you must have stayed together, generally in northern Nigeria ( Kano Jigawa Katsina Bauchi, Borno, )and most especially with the Moslems. Abeg make your money and don't be funny, leave the jokes greetings and banters for them to initiate and respond but not with another statement but simply sallam or any single or at most trple worded sentence .ABEG |
No biggie, necessity will teach to take it as it is. |
Never doubted but criticized my physics teacher in secodary school for using our lesson time for another school who was paying him because the school had no physics teacher. I paid for it because the guy always had a reason to either flog me pieces or send me out of hi8s classes. This continued up till about few days before mock exams ! Ol boy I suffered the consequences |
. In our country here it is hinged on the bolded. We defend this religion from not the faith in God which it ultimately preaches but on politics. Rather than access and bring the humanity into the religion, we are engrossed with knocking out and judging each other from our different religious stand points.
