PoliticsRe: Fulani Herdsmen Demand Land Rights In 36 States by KDULAR: 12:46pm On Sep 09, 2012
Every human being has the right to choose the kind of lifestyle he wishes and more to that is the right to continue with their traditional way of life if done with respect and regards for the Laws of the land and sensitivities of the host communities. Having said in the pursuit of survival all tribes in the Nigeria has for ages been doing that to a very large extent where ever they find themselves. They worked really hard to earn this privilege by integrating as much as possible into these societies and most IMPORTANTLY BUY , GOT A LEASE OR RENT LAND from their hosts, the Fulani herdsmen will have to do same rather than have land given them by Federal Govt Allocation. Given them land will be unfair to other parts of Nigeria. Which tribe, ethnicity in the country has been given land in such manner for the propagation of their lifestyle shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked huh huh huh huh huh.

We cannot continue to spoon feed people , if they cannot move to the next level and realize that in other climes, herdsman owns ranches, grows or purchases the grasses for their cattle thereby creating other sources of income and employment and are even amongst the richest and most comfortable people in those countries then we should not encourage and fuel their backwardness. My take.

Ask any non- Fulani Notherner, they'll tell you that in reality, they do not have any land anywhere except privately owned. They do not HAVE A TOWN AND IT'S BECAUSE THEY DO N OT SETTLE ANYWHERE BUT MIGRATE FROM PLACE TO PLACE LOOKING FOR ANYWHERE TO TEMPORARILY INHABIT,THE ONES THAT CLAIM ANYWHERE CHECK BETWEEN 100- 70 YEARS BACK MOST OF THESE FULANIS WERE NOT FROM WHERE THEY CLAIM.

PoliticsRe: A LASTMA Official 'Arresting' A Driver ( Pic) by KDULAR: 8:27am On Sep 02, 2012
A commercial bus driver has killed an albino girl riding on the back of a bike along Kudirat Abiola way the Ikeja/Oregun/Ojota axis of Lagos and injuring two others at Ojota while attempting to escape, driving even more recklessly.

The tragedy hit around 12.35pm as a yellow commuter bus was driving against the one-way traffic along Kudirat Abiola way, just opposite the lane to activists on a march to commemorate the death of prominent civil rights lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi, today.

The activists had begun their march from under the popular bridge along Obafemi Awolowo way in Ikeja with five police vans watching them closely.

The train was going smoothly before the bus suddenly ran into some motorbikes and pedestrians on Kudirat Abiola way near the Olusosun garbage dump. The albino woman was killed in the accident.

The strong collision threw the woman against the culvert, instantly breaking her right leg and causing a crack on her skull, she died some thirty minutes later according to the police.

The activists ended the procession to engage in a furious chase to catch up with the hit-and-run driver riding on the back of several bikes at Ojota the road seemed closed to traffic but the commercial driver in his haste to escape hit two other persons made an u-turn towards Alausa where he was finally rounded up by the comrades.

The killer driver has been apprehended and detained at the Alausa Police Station.

What you just read is the mentality and attitude of an average danfo/bus driver in Lagos and you expect a law enforcement officers to be light ,baaa ?
The y are ready to kill you before you arrest them.

lastpage: The Danfo Driver was probably saying "if no be Govt Uniform, Oooniweere O! i be grandfather of Weere ni!" angry angry grin grin

Actually, its not just LASTMA guys only, 99% of everybody in one form of "Govt Uniform" or the other, think they are "Gawd" and can behave just as they like.

Today, l nearly ran over a VIO (Vehicle Inspection Officer) who jumped in front of my vehicle (luckily, l had cited a traffic light about 300meters ahead and my leg was already "naturally itching" for the break-pedal, so l was able to halt in-tme otherwise, "he is Suya"!

I motioned him to my window but he still stood in front of my vehicle, right in the middle of the road.
When his folks realize that they cant intimidate me further, they came to my window and l told them:

My guy you really make sense, I've had similar experiences with law enforcements officers , who cares more about putting one into trouble than addressing issues and even having value for their irreplaceable lifes. however, i want to ask you about the mentality of an educated Nigerian to being corrected not to talk of being arrested ? Moreover, have you ever had a sane encounter with an average Danfo driver in Lagos ? RThen you'll see the reason why at this moment in time, the kind of attitude that goes with LASTMA nay law enforcing in Lagos requires you to be aggressive. Let's be frank, we don't really value orderliness and gentle-manliness in Nigeria, ( e no dey inside us). Sometimes which is in the most atimes, a show of force as seen here will suffice. Like someone said earlier even in the US you resist arrest, you'll be treated likewise if not worse especially if you show slight resistance or aggression.

"Even if this one does not value his life, l do value his life. Can you please tell him that he does not need to ATTEMPT SUICIDE just to stop vehicle for checking. All he need do is "motion me to move to the right side of the road, using his hand, from a safe distance or from the road side".

His Boss said he needed to jump in front of "a moving vehicle" because "some drivers do not stop"
......and l responded that even if a driver refuses to stop...or if there is a 'risk of flight' by a driver, why not "Mount a camera" across the road such that it reads-off the Registration Numbers of cars (or even their complete picture...ANPR) as they pass and this can be used to "TRACE SUCH VEHICLES" from the Govt's "Auto Reg" database!

But they would have none of that! The expression on their faces and demeanor oozed "THUGS!"

After checking my "particulars", l was asked to go.... (Not before reminding me that my "OJODU-FRSC-issued authentic" Driver's license was a FAKE!.........since it was not issued by the VIO!! Is their disagreement/power-tussle" my own problem?) ....so l looked him in the eye and said 'You think this is worth dying over'?

This is what we get from the "Area-boy" Politics of Tinubu era!
I looked around and l can say that around 90% of our "Ward Chairperson's" are Danfo/NURTW Touts! Aboput 70% of our LGA Chairmen are same!

So, in a country where the 'educated and enlightened' are ruled by the "illiterate thugs and criminals"....What do you expect?

A month inside the prison as an inmate in NIGERIA is enought to put "some brain" into any slighty insane human like someone driving against traffic. For God sake, a year with no option of fine as a first offender is rather TOO MUCH. A month imprisonment with fine and community service could suffix here. Mind you on getting out, anyone in a prison for that long based on such offense will become more emboldened and a criminal because he'ill believe like most of us do that justice/punishment has not been appropriately served and the society has not been fair on him. Seriously o, the punishment for the offense should be reviewed. Pity

I AM INFORMING YOU THAT THERE EVEN IN THE DDA ( DANGEROUS DRUG ACT IN NIGERIA ) THIS PARTICULAR DRUG DOES NOT REQUIRE A MEDICAL DOCTORS PRESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU CAN DISPENSE. THE TRUTH IS WE GENERALISE ALL DRUGS DUE TO WHAT WE HEAR FROM PEOPLE BUT I AM TELLING YOU WITH ALL CONFIDENCE THAT THE GUY DID NOT ERR IN ANYWAY , HOWEVER, BEING AN INTERN, HE' SUPPOSSED TO BE UNDER SOMEONE ELSE' SUPERVISION. lynxpro: Well I'm not sure about the law aspect. But it beats me that sedatives according to you do not require a doctor's prescription. Benzodiazepines are known for drug-drug interactions with fatal consequences....and that added to the fact that its metabolized by a highly polymorphic enzyme. I still don't agree its right to dispense such drugs outside a doctor's supervision viz a prescription.....the last time I checked even diazepem has been taken off the regular stores.
YOU ARE CORRECT ABOUT THE SEDATIVE EFFECTS OF THE DRUG AND OTHER DRUG- DRUG INTERACTION, BUT according the DDA in which schedules for drugs are given, all benzodiazepines except tamezipam and zopidem do not require doctors prescription, safe custody, documentation except the keeping the sale invoice for at last 2 years. that's my point You may look into the current DDA.
PoliticsRe: Nonso-Maduakor Wrongfully Charged For Cynthia's Murder by KDULAR: 4:38pm On Aug 29, 2012
The guy by selling that drug DID NOT contravene any law or act in Nigeria, the police is just feasting on ignorance. Though as as an intern, he's supposed to be working under supervision. If anybody has a contrary aproof to show his culpability please state. He and oxfam pharmacy ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SUING THE POLICE NOW
PoliticsRe: Nonso-Maduakor Wrongfully Charged For Cynthia's Murder by KDULAR: 4:23pm On Aug 29, 2012
The truth is as an intern in the first place , he is supposed to be supervise by a registered pharmacist.
I must however say categorically here that the guy dispensing the drug, has not contravened the laws of the country or the DDA in that Rohypnol containing the chemcal flumatrazepam and the drugs in the class Benzodizepines are in the schedule 4 of the DDA act which means that the drugs are do not require special prescription or no special custody requirements, no documentation as to dispensing is required however, invoices should be kept for at least 2 years.
The police is wrong arresting him for that, unless the arrest is conducted by an officer had it been that drugs in higher schedules like cocaine , heroine etc are involved.
Murder, manslaughter cannot thus be be pinned on him unless he is directly involved in the MURDER and the invoices are not kept.

With a knowledgable not neccessarily good pharmacolegal , he will win the case if the only thing police can pin on hom is the sale. And I guess , the guy don hammer.!!!. Similar to Baba Suwe and NDLEA

Katsumoto: Desola and Afam4eva

It is difficult to ascertain which religion the Yoruba follow more but I would hazard a guess and say that there are more Muslims and Christians and both probably have equal numbers.

States like Oyo, Kwara have huge muslim populations; Ondo, Ekiti, Osun have more Xtians while Lagos and Ogun have mixed numbers with Muslims edging Lagos and Xtians edging in Ogun.

This is just my opinion; it isn't based on any data or source.
I quite agree with you on this , there is no dominanting number of adherants of a single foreign religion in Yoruba land , it depends on where you find yourself like the Ijebus, we have a good number of christians in the Ijebu Igbo and Northern and eastern axis while there are more of muslims in the western axis( Remo though claiming non Ijebus now) mixed in the south ie Epe (mainly Muslims) Ikorodu and Lekki/Ibeju . There seem to be an integration ( LIKE VIRUS) of the Yoruba morality beliefs and lifestyles ( which in most cases is predicated on communal and individual respect for others ) into these religion as is obvious in the Cherubhim and Seraphim , Aladura and African Churches which had in fact influenced a whole lot of mode of worship and services of many Christian denominations outside these fore mentioned Churches. This could well be the reason for such tolerance. Although, there had been some previous taunts from all sides
I MUST HOWEVER STATE CLEARLY THAT THIS TOLERANCE THING IS WANNING FASTER AND THERE IS NEED FOR A POSITIVE CULTURAL REBIRTH AND RENAISSANCE IN THE ENTIRE YORUBALAND.

Any white garment church be it celestial, Olumba or C & S, Aladura!
Jehovah Witness
White Jerusalem Brotherhood
And so on...

And the last but not the least

Idolatry infested Catholicism - Catholic!

For Christ said I am the only WAY THE TRUTH AND LIFE NO MAN, not even you, the Pope, St peter, Mary or Paul not even Mohammed whom the muslims exalts over Christ have access the THE MAKER OF HEAVEN & EARTH except by Me - Jesus Christ. John 14:6 - Is that english hard to understand?

That is to say if your church don't have Christ as the beginning and the end while taking to believe and practice what Christ stood for then, u are on the faulty foundation.

The Father confirms by giving HIM a name that is above every other name that at the mention of the name..every knee, in Heaven on earth, in NL or otherwise must bow its a must!... in other words Jesus has bought His sovereignty therefore no man is permitted to thwart it. Philippians 2:9

OLD TESTAMENT: Concentration on GOD
NEW TESTAMENT: Concentration on Jesus Christ

OLD TEST.: GOD's prophets(mouth piece), Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah!
New TEST.:JESUS' prophets(mouth piece), His disciples

So if catholics shud saint most of Christ disciples, how about that of Gods in the old testaments? Are u telling me they were not saints too?

Let's me give you NL a clue to identify a satanic, misleading and
eternity damn sect, one common thing amongst them I discovered:

They will always claim their believe to be the only salvation to mankind and that no other is. Be it Ekankar or Catholic or Later Days or Olumba but using Christ to trap followers.

Mean while

Deeperlife or MFM or RCCG or Potters house at USA or BennyHINN ministries or even Reinhard Bonnke Ministries will NEVER claim that their ministry(ies) is the only salvation to mankind but steadfastly fix Christ as the only Way it is with regards to the fact that their various founders in anytime of their life may not have met...least we say its clinical organized!

With this; Satan's cunnings shud be exposed to the wise who are only ready to be unbiased in your reasoning!

My God created you all. I don't hate neither of you but the believe. I love you all may God bless you.
Whao! and how do you know that the fore-mentinoned Churches by you do not have Christ, who are you to judge ? Anyway so much for your professed Christianity. Really I wonder the if Christians fanatics are anyway different from the Muslims ?

Truly, if you love yourself and your community, you will not abuse malign or say something disgusting about a person not to talk of a whole race or tribe. This insanity that has been peddled here if you think it is fun and convenient, please people , rethink. The same hatred and stereotype we the embers of which we fan here is same that is causing the problem between the major religions all over the world. The hatred the muslims have against christian is not unconnected with some atrocities committed in the medieval age, but I ask what has that got to do with us this days. Since people will continue to propagate hatred and disrespect then how will there be some peace.
Some of these in the future will definitely lead to more violence and either me, you , mine or your children will be the BENEFICIARIES of the on-going madness. I think if not anything, the recent BH terror in our country is enopugh to keep our heads straight and keep respecting each other rather than this NONSENSE. If you are living in places like Kano, Maiduguri, Biu, Kaduna, Suleja and other places in the north , y'all will realize what I am talking about. Also considering the attendant cost on the groom who happens to be a civil servant and her daughter who is a medical doctor though, to travel home to the east with the whole family . He said NO. Tarrif high yes , but that's not enough for people to behave in such a way. There is an option , continue to use generators according to your usage and see which is better. For a room apartment in f-f building having a radio that consumes about 50watts, 2 light bulbs both consuming 80 watts (big energy bulbs), a fan of 55 watts and a TV which consumes about 100 watts , no fridge, no iron will require at least "I better pass my neighbor". With a full tank of 5 litres will last 8 hrs that is N485.00 plus N40 oil that is a total of N535.00 to power I better pass my neighbor for 10 hours or N53.5 per hour, without fridge and ironing or. Averagely, we'll use light for 4 hours a day in the evenings ( 7pm -11pm) more on weekends and public holiday which might extend to as much a 12 hours meaning on the average in a week we'll use that generator for 44 hours and spend about N2354.00 weekly on I better pass my neighbor.
In a month that is N10593.00. To have the best of this type of gen, you must service it every 80 - 100 hrs of use , meaning twice a month. at about N300/ service that is N600.00 monthly, In all . It will cost a total of N11,193.00 to power "I better pass my neighbor" , 650 VA generator for 200 hrs in a month shocked shocked shocked. (YOU DEFINITELY SPEND MORE FOR A BIGGER GENERATOR) That is a usage of 57000watts hour or 57 points on the old meter which merely translates to about N750 0r N800shocked shocked shocked. without the options of ironing and refrigeration or ring boiling or electric cooking with the generator. If we think PHCN tarrif is too much then lets reconsider and go back to the former generator era. I am of the opinion that we Nigerians really, we don't yet deserve a better living and leaders by the way of endorsements and excuses some of us are giving for those perpetrating that illegal and indeed criminal act. We are such irresponsible lots and indeed we are not different from that corrupt politician

onatisi: ideally military barracks are not suppose to be in civilian arean ,that is why in western countries barracks are located faraway from civilian areas,it is only in nigeria u find a military barrack in the middle of a city.
secondly ,they are mad dogs that often times bite their own superiors, that is why no matter how bad a military officer is maltreating a civilian if his superior officer gets there all he will say is that he should leave the person.and at times they might even refused to listen to him.just s they did in the case of the man that dies in lagos they insisted on taking the man to their barracks, the officer had no choice, even their superior officers tread with caition when dealing with them, their heads can turn at anytime, that is why they are always kept comfortable in their barracks, they have water and regular light becos if they start to grumble in the barracks that means problems
thirdly ,the army are not trained to hndle civil matters ,they have been conditioned to look at civilians as inferior and so any slight provocation from a civilian will results in serious beating ,a soldier can take on 6 police men at once, i can go on and on ,pls llet everyone be aware if a solidier kills any civilian NO CASE OO.NA UNKNOWN SOLDIER.PLS STEER CLEAR OF THEM.
lastly they are nice ppl to have as friends, very funny and playful but when their heads turn i beg run and take cover

It is disheartening really for some people to want to blackmail the practice now. Intolerance is really gradually growing in Yoruba land to these days and it is because of nothing but mainly coming from both christians and moslems but we all obviously know where the violence will definitely erupt from. More and more intolerant sermon are being spewed out from the each pulpit and brothers are not seeing themselves as one again. May God help us

mekaboy: NIGERIA THE RICH GET RICHER THE POOR GET POORER, SOME NIGERIANS ARE BUSY STEALING BILLIONS AND GOING FREE, SOME NIGERIANS HAVE REFUSED TO ENGAGE IN CRIME AND DECIDED TO WORK LEGITIMATELY FOR INCOME, AND THE SAME GOVT WILL DESTROY THEIR SOURCE.

TOMORROW THEY WILL LAMENT OVER THE LEVEL OF INSECURITY, WHAT STOPS FASHIOLA FROM BUILDING SMALL SHOPS THERE AND LET THESE PEOPLE PAY INSTALLMENT FOR 10YEARS UNTIL THEY FINISH ?

GOVT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE, YES THE AREA IS CLEAN NOW, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT FEED FROM THAT AREA ? WHEN WILL NIGERIAN GOVT VALUE THE LIFE OF A NIGERIAN CITIZEN MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE?

WHEN WILL GOVT START TO TAKE DEEP THOUGHTS ABOUT PEOPLES HARDSHIP BEFORE TAKING ACTION? WHEN WILL THE GOVERNOR HAVE SLEEPLESS NIGHT, THINKING OF WHAT HE CAN DO TO HELP ORDINARY HUSTLING YOUTHS ON THE STREETS?

ALL THEY THINK OF IS DEMOLISH THE STRUCTURES AND LET THE PEOPLE GO TO HELL. IF THE GOVT WAS NOT CORRUPT AND CREATED JOBS AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ARTISANS, WONT THESE GUYS BE ABLE TO AFFORD A SHOP ?
